Nice older building located a little outside the village. The room was clean, comfortable and ok-looking. The staff was friendly. The garden was nice and the pool area was ok.
I found the premises to be a bit outdated and a little over-priced, for what it is. It could be a beautiful and great place if they updated the decorations in the rooms (making up of beds, decorations, bathrooms), around the pool and in the breakfast-room. The breakfast could be better too, and with more attentive service. Perhaps eggs to indvidual liking and fresh fruit. The pool area could also use some updating, with more furniture and decorations. More comfortable chairs. etx

It was a very pleasant stay, the area was very cosy and clean, the rooms were comfy and the breakfast oranges are very nutritious and yummy! The noise level was very pleasant, 10/15 min walking distance from the beach. I recommend!

Outside sitting area is wonderful for relaxing or having a cup of coffee in the early morning. Unfortunately I did not stay long enough to try the barbecue but excellent option. Also the pool was very rewarding after a long hiking day. Very quiet, perfect for a good night sleep. Very comfortable solid bed. Darkening curtains. Very pleasant stay!

Great place, friendly staff, room has everything I needed. It is simple, but quiet, and the beds are comfortable (which is something I find very important).
The shower was a bit outdated and for a big man like myself, it was difficult to not bump into everything.

Very nice location for people wanting to walk on the Rota Vicentina.
Nice garden to relax.
I thought we would have a terrace next to the garden or next to the pool, but we got an appartement with a small terrace next to the entry of the parking.
The cleaners or gardeners had dogs which were often barking.

They upgraded me from a single room to a suite - it was amazing! Such a clean and comfortable place with both a very nice bed and shower. The pool was a real treat after a day of hiking. Couldn't recommend this place enough!
I didn't opt for the breakfast since I found it to be a bit expensive. It was also a little ways away from the trail I was following, but that is fine.

Large room.
Limited service. No staff around for check out at 7am (but just left key and had no issue, also 24 hour number was available but we didn't use it). Needed to walk to a different hotel for breakfast, probably because it was low season (March).

The receptionist was very helpful and perfect to understand. He gave us ideas on locations around town and guided us through a map to our residence. He told us that they have upgraded our room to an apartment for the same price which was something we very gladly welcomed. Parking lot at our residence had more than enough spaces. Our apartment was beautiful, clean and had lot of modern and working facilities and appliances. The A/C was working great. Setting multiple units with remotes was little bit tricky but we have managed to get nice microclimate in no time. We have had a great time during our comfortable stay.
Almost nothing. If I would have to mention something it is that this group of hotels of this town had different residences throughout town for accommodation but one main reception which was on a different place than where we were staying. However, it was a very nice experience talking to the personnel. Walking this town at night we have subjectively felt it was little bit more dangerous for us than other parts of Portugal.

The property is very nice and peaceful, surrounding a pool with gardens. Our apartment was very clean and comfortable as pictured. Good, free parking on site and you can't beat it for value. Milfontes exceeded our expectations; the historic area near the fort is interesting. The trails at the point were unique. We had an excellent, free, full breakfast buffet at the HS Milfontes Beach Hotel where we checked in. Staff was super welcoming. We were happy we stayed at this apartment for one night.
It's a long walk to town and beach. In November, check-in was at the HS Milfontes Beach Hotel ( not a problem if you have a car) and breakfast served here as well. In the morning, we drove from the apartment, parked, had breakfast, and then explored the area. What seemed like an inconvenience was really no problem.

We got upgraded to a small apartment on the second floor, it was absolutely perfect: spacious, clean and came with a well-furnished kitchen. The location is quiet but a walking distance to everything you need!
The bathroom equipment has certainly been used for some time (a little bit of rust on the towel heating rack), but nothing else to say!

I liked the location on the edge of town, within walking distance of shops, restaurants, and the beaches but removed from busy streets and nightlife. The property is beautiful, reminds me of a villa with it's central, private courtyard featuring a pool, sun loungers, and outdoor kitchen area, all surrounded by the main hotel and two other buildings featuring rooms. Property offered a very good continental breakfast: meats & cheeses, yogurt & muesli, asst'd rolls & breads, egg tarts, and good coffee!
It appeared some of the rooms are permanent housing. There was a small dog on the ground level beneath my window barking most of the night. After a very long day walking the Rota Vicentina from Porto Covo I didn't get a good sleep.

Breakfast was nice and had a good variety of hot & cold options.
Staff were friendly, and facilities were clean.
Location was out of the way and a 10-15 min walk from the downtown, and 15-20 min walk from the beach.
Room did not include a mini fridge, nor were they able to accommodate one.

Nice large rooms. Nice pool.
A little bit of a trek from town. For the price there are probably better options.

it is outskirts of the town, and is oasis of peace. The pool area is very pretty, and we’ll maintained. The staff are helpful and pleasant, and went out of their way to provide gluten free bread and non dairy milk for my partner. The breakfast was very good. The accommodation is clean, roomy and comfortable, with attractive sitting area, and well equipped kitchen. The french window leads out to an outdoor sitting area next to the pool. The beds are comfortable.
Thé shower needs an upgrade, it is primitive over bath shower, can’t be adjusted height or direction of head. The grout between the tiles is discoloured and the stainless steel is rusty.

I have stayed in places nearly double the price in Vila Nova de Milfontes that weren´t as good. Good option for travellers on a budget, clean, safe accomodation in a nice location behind the wooded campsite with very friendly staff.

location was not too far from the old town, staff had good suggestions for diner
very old and facilities, rust on radiators, smelly curtains, broken tiles and cork on walls

The breakfast was good and the grounds were pleasant. Nice pool.
The room was rather small and aging.
