About this cabin rental

Two bedroom Two full bath Log Cabin built in 2005 with 100 x 300 property including private beach front and dock located on the west side of Seneca lake. This is a non Smoking and Pet free residence with Central Air. The basement and any outbuildings are not included in the rental and are for our private use only. Unplug sit back and relax on the deck overlooking Seneca lake or just go down the steps to the private beach and dock. The main bedroom located in the loft with private full bath and king bed. Bedroom two has a queen bed and door access to the main full bathroom. There is a queen sleeper sofa for additional guests in the living room. Kitchen has silverware, dishes for 6 or 7 as well as pots and pans for cooking. Enjoy cooking outside on the Weber grill, LP gas included. This property is located just 7 miles south of Geneva NY and Hobart and William Smith College. Enjoy 7 local wineries within 5 miles of the property. We are just a half mile from Fox Run Vineyards and walking distance to Weavers-View Farm Barn Weddings. There is also an additional 3 season space fully enclosed with windows all around. Other items included are stove/oven, refrigerator,microwave. Roy's Marina has boat rentals just a short distance away, so you can enjoy fishing, skiing or tubing on the lake. Nothing can be tied to the dock due to destruction of the dock and watercraft. I have one smaller spare boat hoist that can handle up to 16 or 17 foot boat
We have outside security surveillance for the security of our property and insurance purposes. There are NO cameras inside any part of the residence. We have two cameras, one is located off the back ( driveway Side of the house) and one is located off the basement door and covers that area.

Great long weekend in wine country. The property was clean and a great location on the lake. Beautiful views and a short walk down to the lake. Close to wineries and restaurants. Our host Tim was excellent and quick to respond to questions. He thankfully replaced our coffee pot in a matter of hours. Would recommend the Love Shack and we will stay here again.

This was our second stay at the Love Shack. We had a great experience both times: Tim was helpful, the property was immaculate, comfortable, and perfectly located. We enjoyed the pellet stove in the living room, the large deck, the quick trip down to the lake, and the beautiful sunrise through the huge windows. The home was a perfect base for us to make day trips to wineries, breweries, and waterfalls. We love the Finger Lakes--and a big part of that is finding this rental!

Our stay was excellent. The house was exceptionally clean and conveniently located right across the road from Scout Vineyards. It also contained some extra amenities like toilet paper, dish soap, and hand soap.

My husband and I stayed here with his family and it was perfect! The home was comfortable and clean and the location was completely unbeatable. The lake is right outside your backdoor and many great wineries are in walking distance. The deck was incredible for meals and the dock was perfect for swimming and relaxing.

Or family really enjoyed our stay! The house's location is perfect! Right on in the water, close to Roy's marina if you are going to rent a boat (we did and it was really fun and reasonably priced), and close enough to stores if you need something. It was also not too far away from Glenn Watkins State Park which was an amazing gorge with waterfalls that you really must visit! The house was comfortably air conditioned and well stocked with dishes and such. Tim was a very good communicator and easy to work with.

Beautiful lake house experience. We had a very peaceful week spent at property and surrounding cities. Located close to middle of lake so travel to Watkins Glen or geneva was easy. House has 1 tv with minimal channels, but that gave our family the much needed break from devices and giving us more time spending together. 10/10 rating across the board. Thank you for allowing us to stay!

We had a wonderful time, beautiful house and the views of the lake from the loft were amazing. House was big enough for the 4 of us. The water skis by the driveway, 5 stars. Kids loved the space in the backyard and he fire pit for s’mores and relaxing after the day’s activities. Thank you again.

We loved our stay! The cabin was perfect, the views of the lake were perfect, the private dock was perfect. Short walk across the yard and over the tracks and you're in the lake. We couldn't have asked for a better place to spend a week. Thank you Tim tor sharing your home with our family. We all definitely loved the Love Shack!

This property is perfect for early risers who love waking up at sunrise and having a cup of coffee out on the deck, maybe even doing some yoga. It had everything we needed to make our stay perfect (though we wish it had laundry facilities, but that's a minor quibble). We did have some bad weather than knocked the power out for around 18 hours, but we made the best of it and the Owner provided us with a rechargeable flashlight in the kitchen. It didn't really slow us down. Thanks for a great stay!

It worked great for us with two couples. Each had a bedroom and bathroom. In the middle of wine country and hiking and that’s what we came to do. It was very comfortable and very clean. Nice of street parking and easy to find. Nice quiet area to relax at. Perfect for what we wanted.

We had a wonderful time at a wonderful residence! It was our 30th Anniversary, the place was perfect, loved the view and the deck. The house was close to some great wineries, breweries, hiking trails, and good restaurants. Tim was a great host.

Tim’s love shack is a super cozy! Great place to escape and enjoy wine country. Conveniently located on the west side of Seneca lake in close proximity to several wineries and breweries. The house is equipped with everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. We will definitely stay again.

We had a relaxing long weekend with friends at the Love Shack. It was very clean & had everything we needed. The accommodations were perfect and we really enjoyed having the two bathrooms for privacy. Tim was quick to respond to our questions. Definitely a little piece of heaven! Rita Pulcini

We spent a lovely long weekend on Seneca Lake at this beautiful log home. The space was perfect for four adults, offering amazing views, lake access, and lots of amenities indoor and out. We couldn’t have been more comfortable. The location was terrific for day trips to wineries and parks. We spent the evenings on the deck and by the pellet stove. Just like the whole area, the home was charming and relaxing.

We enjoyed our stay very much. We spent many hours down at the lake fishing and swimming. We didn't have much luck catching anything but I think our son would have spent every waking moment swimming! It was great to get away and relax and this is the perfect place to do just that.

Walking in the first time, with the whole place bathed in sunlight with that view of the lake was a "wow" moment. Well-stocked kitchen, so we didn't need to bring half of what we brought. Given that it was during the heatwave (90+) , we really appreciated the A/C and overhead fans. The occasional train sighting adds a bit of welcome funkiness. Earliest we ever saw it was 7:30am. Latest was mid-afternoon. Climbing up the stones and over the tracks to get to the lake can be challenging for the less agile. And I was thrilled to see a few bats, but only when I was really watching for them. It is a lake, after all, and there were no mosquitos. Overall, a lovely place. Thank you, Tim, for opening this home to us.

Love the cottage, had everything we needed to cook or just relax. Great view from the deck and 2 lovely evenings around the fire pit. The host was very responsive to all my questions. Hope to be back in the neat future.

This property was perfect for a long weekend wine tasting with friends. Tim was an excellent host he responded immediately to any requests and was extremely helpful with local recommendations. This place was in the perfect location close to lots of wineries and watkins Glen state park. We had a wonderful time and would definitely come back!

The home was better than advertised. Tim the host was very helpful and he communicated all the time with me. Went on a beer and wine tour and loved it. This is the second time in Seneca and this home was the best. We will be renting again next year once it opens up for 2022.
