Nothing
Staff attitude (rude and we were made to feel an inconvenience), lack of essential facilities (we booked an accessibility room for my 91 year old mother but the wardrobe was of no use to her as she couldn't reach the hangers and the bedside light switches were too high for her to reach without getting out of bed!) poor evening meal options.
3.7
Location good, breakfast fine. Room tidy.
TV in room poor. Cheap, old, basic with terrible strobe light effect at night when on stand by so you have to switch off at mains. This would easily be remedied with even a better 2nd had flatscreen.

Going home.
No commication between staff.
No food available on an evening.
Rooms very dated and dirty.
Bed uncomfortable and got biten.
Wedding on that weekend so alot of noise.
First and last stay.

We were transferred from this hotel to their sister hotel The Sure Hotel
Which was excellent. I have filled this form in for it. Great location, great staff, lovely food and a beautiful room 10 out of 10 for all.

The staff went above and beyond. The young lady on reception (01-07-2023) catered to our every need.
The location is idyllic and the hotel is beautiful.
I would certainly recommend.

We never actually got to stay there! the owner called us 2 days before we were due to stay, saying the hotel was closed , we couldn’t get our money back even after several calls/messages, they put us up in their “other” hotel in Lockerbie which is the Sure , ended up paying. the same to stay in a budget hotel , which was dirty , terrible showers , walls like paper so heard next door sneezing ! Didn’t get any sleep as beds and noise from the road were so bad, one positive was the breakfast which was lovely but considering we had travelled for my mums 80th it really ruined the weekend. My advice is dont book either hotel as you dont know which one they will put you in !
Dirty, noisy as too close to main road, shower awful and bracket broken

we were booked into this hotel but due to a problem there we were moved to a sister hotel with a upgrade .
on our drive to the hotel the Owner phoned to see what time we were due to arrive , as it was getting late the owner read us the menu so we would not miss dinner . Fantastic service ! My partner and my self were more than happy with our room and the dinner was great .
I would like to thank the Owner and friendly staff for a great stay , we would both book here again .

Refused to let us check in early even though we received an email saying it was possible, understaffed 1girl trying to do everything leaving the bar unattended for long times during the wedding

Hotel is spotless clean.
Our room was number 16 and our morning view was awesome. Sheep and rabbits amused us.
Bed is so comfy and enormous.
And food is absolutely gorgeous, special compliments to the chef.
First night out room was too hot, corridors were too.
Fan provided was noisy. So we slept without duvet.

Food, staff
Room decor, brown water in the shower, mould on tiles, lack of a view, frosted glass to area behind kitchen

Shower door seal was filthy. For the money it was not really up to standard. After two days of our four days stay we were told we were being moved to a sister hotel about a 7 minute drive away. Due to staffing issues. When I originally booked I had also checked the sister hotel and was shown as not available. Very confusing because it was less money and stars per night, However I wasn’t offered any compensation or reduced price. Then after one night at the sister hotel (Sure hotel Lockerbie) the bed was so lumpy and uncomfortable, I pulled the sheets back to check as it felt like sleeping on a box spring. The mattress was old and stained. I requested at the reception desk for a mattress topper and was met with great indignation and told it was a new mattress. Very disappointing. Would not recommend. Mother manager was very abrupt and cold. Also if you were not returning to the hotel by 11 pm you had to call and advise them as they lock the door and it’s not accessible after that.

The location is great and access is well indicated.
Breakfast was great.
Staff wasn’t very friendly.
Poor noise insulation, and we ended up hearing the dryer in the staff room next to us for most of the night, as well as the staff talking and laughing late into the night.
Also the shower was rather average.

The owner upgraded our room which was a very nice gesture
Breakfast was expensive
