Although it is on a busy road, it has beautiful scenery on the doorstep miles of seaside walks. The promenade is just through the town 10 mins away. The staff at the hotel were very friendly. The bar served a good selection of drinks & it had a nice atmosphere.
Maryport port is a little run down, as is the hotel. The road it is on is very busy and never sleeps!

Excellent value for money. Older style, tired round the edges decoratively. But clean , comfortable, water was hot, single room larger than some I have had. Has everything you need but no frills. Limited choice at breakfast but the cereals are Kellogg’s and the cooked breakfast was hot and fresh. You could stay at an identikit budget outfit down the road at Workington, but it is on a roundabout on the edge of town. The Waverley is 5 mins walk from the harbour and excellent chips at the Cross Quays. About 2 mins walk from the train station, and the bus stop for Whitehaven, St Bees and Workington is just outside. And you can connect in Workington to the Lakes. And the Waverley has a bar downstairs if that is your thing.

The breakfast was well presented, hot and tasty.
Unfortunately I had a very poor night's sleep due to the traffic noise from the main road outside. This is common in B and B's located on a main road.

Attentive, considerate staff.
Excellent breakfast.
Will definitely re-book

Friendly, helpful staff, breakfast cooked to order, comfortable and well stocked bar on site and well priced drinks. Appears family owned and run so committed people.
Building needs a bit of TLC but it was clean and comfortable.

breakfast was superb
rooms could get cold possibly due to direction of the weather which was hitting the 2 large windows in my room direct on and whistling constantly all weekend but also because the heating was on a timer and didn’t take into consideration the wind and rain over the weekend

I had a veggie one and my husband had meat both of us agreed that they were really good. We had our dog so we’re not allowed in main room, but they set us up a lovely table in bar which we expected as we have stayed in hotels before with her.
Very friendly, both to us and the dog , we never felt she was a problem as she is still only young. Free parking down the road in a car park next to the fire station. Gave advice were to go and where to eat our evening meal.

The location was great. The staff were excellent very helpful and friendly.
The hotel was although value for money very tired. Same as the town which is full of charity shops or empty shops.e

Breakfast was ample with very good food quality served quickly and cheerfully.
Parking was right outside the property controlled by a parking disc system.
Room bathroom could do with a little maintenance.

Staff took extra effort to accommodate my bicycle. The breakfast was simple and good. The room was comfy and clean.
Hotel is a little down at heel or tired. Furnishings are dated.

Lovely friendly staff , old'y world'y sort of hotel, not super modern but had its own charm.
Breakfast was great.
The hot water wasn't that hot but that could be just that I like the water very hot, also the rooms central heating didn't work although we did have an electric radiator that worked a treat.

I did not get to have breakfast because I left earlier than the breakfast time on both mornings.
It is a small decent establishment, well looked after. Staff are very friendly. I think I disappointed them with my laid back responses after having a terrible day!
It is easy to find. I will recommend
The property has no parking. I had to park further down the street because I arrived late in the day and all the parking spaces nearby were occupied.
There is a bus stop about 50m from the property though.

stayed here before - stayed in a budget room at £70 per night. it’s clean although needs modernising but happy with what we paid compared to other places.
