The staff was very nice! Breakfast was amazing with lots of options. The room was so beautyful, and looked exactly like on the pictures. When you get in from the street, it's like entering a differnt universe

This Villa exceeded my expectations on a lot of levels. The quietness and unique design made our stay very comfortable. The staff is versed in local businesses and were able to setup a few key meetings, inclusive of great dinner reservations and locations.

The hotel was beautiful with attention to detail. The breakfast was delicious, the beds comfortable, and the bathroom clean. also, the staff were helpful and kind, especially Laura, Andrea, and the gentleman who made our cocktails! They were so wonderful!
The property was a bit far from the restaurants and stores. The blocks were long and in the heat it felt like quite a walk! Additionally, we would have liked a more private balcony and thought that that was what we were getting but all the balconies face the main courtyard and aren’t really private.

It's hard to think of anything that could have been better.

The room, breakfast, service, all is good and worth it.

Great little boutique hotel. The property is lovely with the open lobby, pool, and beautiful architecture being the highlights. The staff is super attentive! The included breakfast is excellent. We visited the bar and had well made cocktails and beer. There's a spa on site which we did not use. The hotel is just very tranquil.
One of the curtains in our room was beginning to show a little wear, but that's a pretty small niggle. Otherwise, everything was delightful!.

This property is stunning. The owners designed a tranquil retreat and a little slice of paradise in a busy city. The design and landscaping of the property are exquisite and I can’t say enough. We met the owners who are charming and delightful. The staff are welcoming and can’t do enough for you.

This is such a lovely place. The bar at night is perfect with the best bartender and the breakfast every morning was excellent and impeccably served.

The architecture and decoration were beautiful. Perfect service, amazing breakfast, relaxing and welcoming environment. We wouldn't have asked for a better place to stay. It was conveniently located close to everything we wanted to do.
Nothing! Everything was really good! I can't think of anything I could improve.

If I had spent there a full week, I would have wanted more. The place is fantastic, it is like a fairytale. Staff were friendly and helpful in every way. I got the room I asked for right after I made the reservation. The room was fantastic and there was no TV - it was made just to enjoy comfort and the beauty of the place. Breakfast was great, it was quiet and pleasant.
No such thing.

Absolutely beautiful, boutique bed and breakfast with exceptional service. From the thoughtful whats app messages we received before we arrived to the exquisitely appointed rooms, pool, entry way, bar and dining areas, palacito secreto is a very special place. The breakfast is delicious and every single member of the staff from the front desk to the bartender to the food server to the woman who cleaned our room was kind, smart and helpful. Many shared with me their future interests and their areas of study at university - everything from psychology to international trade. My two girls were in awe when we first entered our room - super glamorous! We felt like royalty. The main pool is a vision both day and night, with lovely and comfortable areas to lounge throughout the small property and the most glamorous staircases. I think there are only 11 rooms, so the feeling is very private and peaceful but not snobby. My 13 yr old daughter said that this place reminded her of the Versace mansion in Miami/South Beach where we once ate dinner but the big difference was that the people at this hotel in Merida were kind and thoughtful vs. arrogant and silly. Though the hotel is in a neighborhood and not on a main street, we could walk easily to all of the main areas - from Paseo Montejo to the central square and markets.
During the week beginning about 9am, construction begins at the property next door. Noise and dust wafts over the wall. I wonder if the owners of the building next door might consider at least putting up some sort of fabric barrier to keep the dust from blowing over to the beautiful palacito secretco. Fortunately, we timed our stay from Friday night through Monday AM, so this hardly affected us. If you eat an early breakfast at the hotel and spend you day exploring Merida (the amazing museums e.g., Museo Mundo Maya, the markets, Paseo Montejo, the central square) or the extraordinary surrounding areas (Uxmal, Izamal, Celestun, Progreso), you can arrive "home" after 5pm / 1700 hrs and take a swim and have a drink and you will not be impacted by the construction at all.

Close to city center, wonderful pool and amazing atmosphere.
Breakfast has been the best we had during our 4week's trip in Mexico.

A hotel in Mérida owned by an Irish expat and designed to look like a French baroque castle? Porque no!
Was really using this Mérida stop as a rest between Mexico City and Chichen Itza. Holy wow did it blow us away!
From the street it looked like the taxi dropped us in the wrong place. Exceedingly modest from the front, and the street was a little funky. Upon opening the door, we got a first glimpse of the front salon, outside restaurant and the baroque pool enclosure, que sorpresa!!
* Decor - five stars - unique and creative.
* Room was spacious with high ceilings, Victorian antiques and a twin day bed in addition to our king bed. The bathroom was a little cozy but functional.
* Breakfast in the outdoor restaurant was free and tasty. We grew to love huevos motelenos in the morning.
(NOTE: The hotel staff keeps free, nontoxic citronella mosquito repellent on a table by the front door. We found it helpful. )
* Our room had a private- ish pool right outside, away from the other rooms and public areas. Magical.
* The bar, and bartender, were a nice surprise in the evenings.
* Made use of the massage room, got couples massage, HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
* Grew to love the neighborhood, the friendly people, proximity to restaurants and the town square. Did so much walking and exploring.

Breakfast had many options.
Staff were personable and kind.
Location of the hotel was convenient and within walking distance to many areas.
Clean room and grounds.
Two more loungers by the pool would be nice.
Having some small snack items available throughout the day would be convenient.

everything - very lovely and stylish place
the walking distance (20min) to the centre is borderline. if you stay for 1 or 2 nights like us, it is just acceptable. if longer, it will feel uncomfortable

The property is beautiful. There are 2 pools, one is in the main area of the hotel, and the other one is more private. The hotel is small, but there are enough common use areas that you can always find a private place. The rooms are big enough, with spacious bathrooms. I like the fact that they have 2 bathrooms that can be used by all guests. They serve delicious breakfast. They give you a free welcome beverage at the small bar in the hotel. They provide laundry service at a great price. The staff is excellent. Luis, Luis C, Brandon, and the rest of the staff was excellent. They were all very friendly, tried to answer all out questions, and went out of their way to make our stay great.
Our room didn’t have any hot water for showers.

I loved my stay at Palacito Secreto. The staff was super welcoming, and I even got upgraded to the suite for no extra charge. The place is a little unassuming from the outside but absolutely gorgeous once you step through the main doors. The room was very comfortable and quiet, the pool refreshing. Walking distance to the center and generally just a very safe area with lots of things to explore. The included breakfast was great.
The wifi in my room was a bit weak but it worked well in the common area.

Very Comfortable. Good Design. Tasty Breakfast.
A bit far from the center than we would like it to be. Ongoing construction from two sides.
