Roomy, coffee and tea was available.

Tv remote in back bedroom didn’t work. None of the ceiling fan remotes worked.

Absolutely wonderful stay! I would love to stay here again next time I'm in Chicago.

Loved the location, loved having someone pick me up from the airport, loved the cute kitchen and deck outside.... I would definitely rent again. The hosts were great telling us what there is to do around the surrounding area. The beds were comfortable.

There were ants in the kitchen and bathroom but that's it. Everything else was great.

Perfect location, very clean and very much worth the asking price.

We went for a three day stay for the Bruce Springsteen shows at Wrigley. The instructions to the location were terrific and getting in was very easy. Overall, I thought the location and property were terrific and the pictures don't do justice to how much space there is. The three bedrooms were great and everyone who stayed were very happy. The kitchen was terrific if you prefer to cook at the house. The living room had plenty of space and two comfortable couches. The dining area and outside deck were also great. The location was also a major plus. We were very close to places to eat and various shopping options. Uber rides to Wrigley were $10-$14 so very reasonable. The location was also very close to downtown so this was an added bonus. Every room was clean and they also had fans that could be used. I really thought the place was wonderful and the price was justified. We certainly recommended this place to our friends and will look to book it on any future trips.

We had no negative experiences with the location.

The house was clean and the 10 foot ceilings really helped the rooms feel larger than they were.

There was a dart board in the house, but we couldn't find any darts.

The owner was very responsive when I had a couple questions.

I like to sleep with the TV on, and the bedroom I was in, I could only get Netflix to work, and it would stop after a few episodes and require me to hit the ok button to turn it back on.

No stairs! Comfy sofas. Choice of 2 coffeemakers. Central heat. Close to downtown.

Having only 1 bathroom and no dishwasher was inconvenient. The 3 beds all have mattresses that seem to dip in the center, so the beds’ occupants both end up on top of each other, in the middle of the bed.

The kitchen was well equipped, the patio was lovely to use in the mornings. Lovely common areas to hang out in. The owner went out of their way to fix the WiFi when we were there (they'd had a network issue) which was really kind.

The beds were a little uncomfortable and the bedding wasn't the best quality.

Loved it! Hope to be back for vacation next year!

It was super comfortable, affordable, and they were quick to respond and friendly. Location was really good. They even had a play pen and high chair for my 21 month old son! Parking was close by. Very pleased and impressed.

We had a great stay at the Avondale House and would stay again!

Great location, easy to get in and out, comfortable. It was perfect for what we needed.

This isn’t a big deal but the flag hanging on the wall in the middle bedroom needs to be washed; it’s covered in dust clusters.

By far the best stay I have had, I’ll definitely be back.

The best check in experience you could have. Out of all my stays through things such as Airbnb and things of that nature this one tops them all. The host was very responsive and caring, every good review he has and gets is well earned.

Quiet neighborhood, but away from downtown; good for two or more people with a car

It is a house with three bedrooms, one bathroom, two living rooms and a kitchen. Ideal for those traveling with more than two people, but if you are traveling alone it is better to choose a hotel or hostel.

I read the reviews and they all said very good things, but to be honest there are some problems: 1) If you don't have a car, you will have to use buses and subway to is downtown, which takes more than 1 hour (both to go and to come back); 2) If you are going for the first time and want to see the main museums, I suggest choosing something closer to downtown; 3) The street can be noisy for those staying in the first room; 4) There is a bar, the "Barra Ñ", that on the weekend (Friday and Saturday) will have loud music until 1 a.m.

Quiet, comfortable and well-equipped, close to everything you need for a great stay

Great stay in a lovely little house, clean, well-decorated and very well-equipped. Close to local commerces and to north-south and east-west bus routes, and also to the river for walking or jogging away from the traffic. And next-door to a good Argentinian steak restaurant.

Good suburban location with access to public transport into Downtown. Three bedrooms and excellent washing and drying facilities. Lovely veranda in the back yard to chill out in the evening.

Not a dislike, but perhaps more info on the aircon would be helpful. a little bit more tlc on the general entrance appearance (cobwebs etc) could be good and maybe the house could benefit from a little updating in places, but this is no way a complaint.

This was a very comfortable place to stay...lots of little perks!

The house was amazing..nice set up..it was very homey. I loved the thoughtfulness in having all the utensils in the kitchen, coffee maker and even the coffee itself for guests. Bathroom was very nice...everything was awesome!

We had issues getting the lockbox open on the front door. Probably because we were not familiar with how to use it, even with the code
