Dominique welcomed us to her B&B and made our three night stay a lovely experience. Even her four dogs welcomed us too. Our room was nice and looked out to the garden and beyond. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. Her home cooking excelled and we enjoyed three course dinners on two nights. We would certainly recommend this B&B.

The perfect stay. I did the three peaks challenge and was excited to come back to rest in a comfy country bed in a beautiful room. Bathroom was gorgeous, breakfast was delicious, location was fab! Dominique was wonderful host and her Mum was also! Would stay again and recommend x

Brilliant traditional B&B, the location is breathtaking (assuming you like off the beaten track which I do) and the owner Dominique was very helpful, friendly and approachable. Breakfast was fab, dinner was fab, wee home baked treats on the Tea and Coffee tray were fab and just being around the property was totally relaxing.
It was all pretty good really

It is a beautiful barn house renovation set on the edge of the picturesque Gisburn Forest and within walking distance of Stocks Reservoir that has a lovely circular walk. We were blessed with a gorgeous crisp winter's day and woke up to a stunning view from our window and a fabulous breakfast from a very welcoming and kind host. We stayed two nights and were even offered some delicious lamb broth that Monique had left over and kindly have to us. Yes, it was YUM! The place was clean, the shower was powerful and warm and Monique was a fantastic host, answering many questions we had. We would highly recommend this delightful B&B and we may well be heading back there again ourselves too.
Nothing, I would just make sure you have all you need on your phone before setting off as reception is very limited but there is WiFi when you get there👍

quiet remote location, no fireworks were heard over our 4 night stay over Bonfire weekend. Rooms were comfortable and spacious. Host Dominique was very friendly and helpful and her food was amazing. Everyone loved the stay here even George our Firework hating Greyhound.
nothing…perfect B&B

Breakfast was delicious and inventive. We were given good tips about where to walk and places to visit. Evening meals were fantastic. Generally a nice relaxed atosphere.

Exactly what we were looking for. Dog friendly, welcoming, essentially in the middle of nowhere, quiet (animals aside), relaxing and a good base for our excursions. We ate there on the first evening, the meal was fantastic and was not bettered during our holiday. Breakfast was equally as good and set us up for the day ahead perfectly.

superb quiet location with fabulous hosts. Very helpful when giving suggestions on where to go and directions on how to get there. Superb choice at breakfast and cooked perfectly as we thought it would be.
wasn’t really anything to complain about.

Dominique was really helpful. Breakfast was lovely, a good choice and healthy food available e.g. fruit, grains, yogurt and home-made bread
A good range of refreshments in our room along with home made biscuits and fresh milk

The property is very well located if you want to
explore the area (there is loads to do there). It’s
also very peaceful so if you come from a big city it’s
a great place to have a good rest.

My third stay at Dale House in 12 months which speaks for itself. Beautiful location, immaculate room and large bathroom and outstanding breakfasts. Dominique and Andrew are very considerate hosts and the friendly animals and birds are a bonus.

Very friendly and attentive hosts. Comfortable and well-equipped room with attractive view. Cooking both at breakfast and on the one night we had dinner was of a very high standard. Many local walking opportunities.

Dominique was very welcoming and even made me and my friend a packed breakfast for our early 3 peaks start. The rooms are comfortable and the food was amazing, I would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely gorgeous property with delightful hosts. The bedroom was comfortable and cosy, breakfast exceptional and the evening meals were amazing, all local and homemade produce cooked by a very skilled chef. Cannot recommend it enough.

Catered well for my gluten free diet. Breakfast was suitably healthy and delicious. The evening meals were exquisite and remarkable using wonderful local products and several foods I had previously not experienced.
The meals were better than I've ever tasted in a restaurant but i would have preferred more boring carbs and less dessert.
4.8
Dominique and Andrew were very generous with their time , giving recommendations for walks, activities and places to eat. The meals at Dale Barn were excellent , breakfasts and three course dinners all delicious.
4.8
Fabulous stay, great food (the best porridge I've ever had and a fantastic evening meal), Dominique was a great host really helpful with suggestions to visit near by. Hopefully we will visit again in the future
Only minor issue was the wifi was a bit hit and miss but prob to be expected that far out in the sticks.
4.8
A genuine away-from-it-all experience (but in comfort, and with excellent food).

Dominique prepares a superb breakfast, including her own made granola, fresh fruit and superb cooked options. The location is off the beaten track and great for exploring the Forest of Bowland and Lancashire fells.
Nothing.

The room was lovely, food fantastic, area perfect. Host had some great recommendations and was really friendly and accommodating throughout.
Wouldn't have changed a thing

Wonderful property, great location for hiking and cycling, excellent hosts with good knowledge of local area, Dominique’s food was delicious both breakfast and dinner. Would definitely come back.
4.8
Great location with views in the centre of Bowland Forest, with plenty of routes to explore, thanks to the local knowledge of our very welcoming hosts. Fabulous choice at breakfast, and options to order more delicious food, especially for dinner; Dominique is a wonderful chef!
Nothing really - if we'd been travelling with friends, knowing we could meet up in a communal space would have been a bonus.
4.8
- Food was excellent, I really liked the biscuits in the room each day
- Service was really good but also very personable, which I really liked. I definitely got the sense that I could just have a chat with Dominique or Andrew if I needed something
- Room and facilities were modern and spotless

Welcoming, characterful and beautiful, whilst bringing about a sense of calm. The bed was very comfortable and the room lovely and spacious with beautiful views. Dom and Andrew were wonderful hosts. They welcomed us and we felt instantly at ease. Dom’s food is delicious. Both breakfast and dinner were super filling and an absolute pleasure. Both Dom and Andrew were also really helpful in directing us to various places of interest and different rides/walks which we could enjoy in the surrounding area. We will most certainly return as we loved our stay and it far exceeded expectations.
Nothing.

Breakfast and evening meals were truly excellent, as was hospitality in general. Andrew and Dominique were great hosts, friendly and helpful with information about walks and dining in the local area. The room was very comfortable, the location quiet, the hills beautiful and the stars amazing.
