I was travelling from Sofia to Dublin, a work trip, first time in Ireland. My stay at the strand hotel was very pleasing, I loved how friendly the staff was, especially the receptionist and the waiters at the restaurant. The food was also very delicious, the room was clean. Such a luxurious hotel, I absolutely loved it, but the people's attitude towards us surprised me more, because we were foreigners I expected a more reserved behaviour, all I can say is that irish people are very welcoming from what I saw - the hotel staff, our taxi driver, the people on the street and supermarkets - amazing. I'd 100% be back at Ireland.
Wilde’s bar food was exceptionally good.

Wandelmogelijkheden helaas was the cliffwalk dicht. Zeer vriendelijk personeel
Misschien voor wat oudere mensen de trappen?

On a weekend break with a group of 8 friends and on a Friday afternoon we wandered into the Wildes bar for cocktails and were so glad we did. The staff were great and we loved the fact while waiting for our Limoncello Spritzes, Espresso Martinis, Moscow mule etc they brought us a glass of Prosecco That was a classy touch as cocktails take a long time to prepare. It was not a cheap afternoon but was worth it!!

Small rooms but functional enough
Frayed towels but at least they were clean
It was ridiculously noisy, the music they played in the downstairs bar thumped throughout the hotel until 11:30pm and then we seemed to have people noisily stumbling back to their rooms through to the early hours of the morning. Really unnecessarily loud for what is meant to be a small boutique hotel

Could not fault any of the hotel facilities or staff. They really made our weekend in bray special! Especially Raj at reception - At very short notice he went above and beyond to organise a birthday surprise in the room for my other half. We will definitely be staying again next time we are in bray.
Excellent bar, fab food.

Bit quirky and good location
Staircase is difficult for older people. New handrail needed

Located in a good position within reach of Dublin on th Dart without all the trauma of being within the city. 20 mins dart from the centre
I was charged €10 a night to park my car which added to the cost of the hotel rate.
Maintenance was poor. I was here in January it was freezing my room was cold so I told the guy on reception, he said give it half hour and it would be warm. I returned to my room a few hours later, still cold and I reported it again before I went to bed. Morning came still cold, I deduced the radiators needed bleeding, simple job, which even a monkey could do, so I told them the issue before I went out for the day. On my return radiators still cold, no one had been around to fix them. I used my nail scissors to bleed the bathroom radiator but unfortunately couldn't do the main bedroom one.
Generally poor maintenance as holes in the wall where poorly filled still with a quick paint over.
The guys on reception where clearly out of there league not having any hospitality skills

Die Lage mit Blick aufs Meer und seitlichem Bray Head Blick . Das war wirklich schön.
Personal super freundlich!!
Das Café Vergnano war der Hammer!!
Muscheln 10/10 ! Habe sogar nach einem Löffel gefragt damit ich die restliche Brühe essen kann.
Faire Preise !
(Fish and Chips waren auch gut .

It’s a beautiful hotel, the staff were lovely, the beds were so comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. I would definitely stay here again.
No lift but I understand it’s protected building.

Location was great.
The socket where you put the card to get the light on was broken. The guy at the reception came to fix with sellotape. The tv was another issue as it wasn't connected to the hotel WiFi and had to call the receptionist to fix it. I had to use my own login for Netflix. The room have marking and could do with a fresh paint job. Also the main door is closed after hours and you will need to ring the bell to get it opened. For two hundred euros without breakfast was disappointing. The guy at the reception wanted me to pay parking when parking is free after 7pm and free on Sunday. Gap in the door and could hear the next guest coming in and out of their room. Room is very small and toilet is very tiny.

Lovely hotel, very comfortable room, great WiFi, friendly helpful staff, good food options - lovely Indian restaurant and pub downstairs, smart coffee bar and bistro upstairs. Lots to like, BUT...
The hotel car park is pay and display. An absolute gold-plated rip-off. I was told I could pay 20 euros to pay and display in the hotel car park, but it would be cheaper to pay to park on the street. How can a (quite expensive) hotel like this, NOT allow guests to park without charging them. Having to keep going out to pay the meter (on street) was a massive pain in the butt. NOT what you expect in a hotel of this quality. For this reason alone (because everything else was great) I would not stay here again. I don't like being gouged.

Unfriendly service and rising the prices for cigarettes. The room was very cold 🥶.

Great location, staff were lovely. Had a few drinks in the bar, very warm and comfortable. Has a good menu, but we chose to eat in the curry leaf restaurant the back. It was very tasty food, but the lamb was a little scarse in my husband's dish, although he said it had excellent flavour. Breakfast the following morning was generous and delicious, and I could not fault it.

The hotel has a lot of character.
Room was clean and well equipped and the bed was comfortable.
Extensive choice of beer in the bar and a varied bar menu.
The narrow, steep stairs to the top floor rooms.
Breakfast seemed inordinately expensive at around 20€ for a bowl of porridge, two slices of toast, a cup of coffee and an orange juice.

The heat was broken in our room. They did bring a space heater. The hot water was warm. The bar/club downstairs was loud and the bass could be felt in the room.
Tiny bathroom, heat not working, hot water was only warm. They tried to fix everything but we ended up with a space heater.

The room was very good. The staff also were excellent. Location in Bray could not be better.
I was a bit confused regarding the pub on the ground floor and its relation to the hotel. It was not of the same standard as the rest of the hotel (although the staff were excellent). We had a drink there because I didn't realise that there was a bar on the first floor. Also there was confusion in my head regarding the restaurant menu: where it was served. I thought meals were only served in the pub, which was not very inviting. Perhaps this should be made clearer on check-in. Or perhaps I misunderstood when I arrived. Otherwise very happy.

The room was quirky, spotless clean big massive towels included bathrobes and there was Netflix provided as TV had no channels the staff in bar and checkout were really pleasant and friendly.omg the food in bar was sooooo good and shower was roasting hot
The hotel could do with a fresh lick of paint outside and in the carpet down to bar was a bit worn the mirror in bedroom was rusty. Went to breakfast taught the food would have been as good but was disappointed rashers were cooked but cold as were mushrooms and pudding was cooked in deep fat fryer not good and was no offer of juice, water or cereal or more toast

Very helpful staff.
The room was probably the smallest we have ever stayed in. We travel extensively and have done so for 40 years plus so that is quite a statement. There is also no lift and very little parking

Bray is amazing place to have a good rest.
This hotel looks quite unique for this local area.
Blue walls and blue chair, nice to have little sea view from window as well.
We liked this place.

Room was too small and the stairs are very difficult

Everything you needed was at this hotel. Walk across the street for the ocean.
Nothing opens in the entire area until 8 or 830...I wake up at 4am so 8 am is not early. But that seems to be the norm here in Ireland.

Breakfast should be earlier to accommodate guests leaving early..it was 8.15am but should be 7am.

The Strand was excellent from start to finish. The welcome we received on arrival, the help we received from everybody went beyond what you’d expect at a hotel! Breakfast was superb and the coffee brilliant. The staff were so good, even giving our friends a lift to the Dart station when their taxi didn’t turn up!

Reception staff was very nice.
Breakfast (not included in price) was very good.
Room was on the small side.
Room wasn't cleaned in the morning or afternoon.
Room was on a pretty high floor. People should request lower floor if that's important to them.
