Great communication. Owner lives just up the hill and was willing to give us a tour of the property at our request. Promptly responded to questions. Very clean. A+ experience

This is the perfect place if you enjoy being in the country. We enjoyed the cows greeting us in the mornings and watching the deer in the back yard. The cabin was spotless and the beds were extremely comfortable. I woke up refreshed each morning. The host are very attentive and friendly. I will say I met a new friend and hope to see them again. They really care about their guests. Thank you Kenny!

Came from Texas to visit our new grandson but had two granddaughters under the age of 8 & wanted a place to stretch our legs and maybe see some farm animals as well as nature. Perfect place for this and the hosts were more than happy to show off the animals and farm! We will be booking again with these folks & we highly recommend them.

We absolutely loved our stay! Elizabethton is a lovely town and the view from the porch was gorgeous! Kenny and his wife were great hosts and very helpful with their recommendations about the area. Watching his cows graze in the fields was very relaxing, as well as the porch swing and the fireflies at night glittering in the woods. It was a very memorable stay, and we hope to be back next year!

Three friends and I stayed here for a weekend fishing trip in the area. The host was absolutely fantastic and very hospitable. It is a two bedroom (three beds) and 1.5 baths. The only reason we wouldn't rent the same place again, is that we'd probably want a fourth bed. One great feature is the wrap around porch and the fantastic wood-burning stove. It was a bit unseasonably cold, but the wood-burning stove got the whole house piping hot. We loved it!

Booked last minute for a quick family getaway. The hosts were gracious and extremely accommodating. The cabin was perfect for us - beautiful scenery, secluded, but not too far away from all of the fun mountain activities.
Will definitely be back!!

We met Kenny and his wife while we were there, they were very friendly, helpful to find whatever we needed in town and around the neighborhood. Respected our privacy and very generous with their time. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. The animals on the farm, where A Plus And added to the relaxing experience. I would definitely recommend this cabin and would definitely stay there again myself.

This is our second time staying at the Smith Family cabin. This cabin is exactly as pictured with comfy beds, furniture, two bathrooms, nice laundry and a fully equipped kitchen. There is a fireplace and an awesome wrap around porch looking out at the mountains and the wildlife over a valley. This cabin is immaculately clean! The owners are so welcoming, friendly and helpful with suggestions as to what to see in the area. It is close to the Appalachian Trail, waterfalls, lakes and shopping. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we will be back! We highly recommend this place to those looking for a clean comfortable peaceful place to stay.

Kenny and Theresa have an amazing place. Secluded, yet close to anything you need or want.
The home is beautiful, with every amenity one could ask for.
We are already discussing our next trip down to TN!

This house was definitely my favorite place we’ve ever stayed. The house was super clean and had everything we needed. Kenny and Teresa are very friendly and accommodating. I loved seeing the cows and deer and the view of the mountain. We were sad to leave but will definitely be back.

This cabin is awesome. Kenny and Teresa are great hosts and very nice. It was a much needed getaway. The location is perfect. We did not want to leave. Definitely will be going back.

We cannot say enough about our stay in Kenny and Teresa's cabin. The location while so close to anything you could need (grocery, restaurant, gas station, local attractions, etc.) it feels secluded in its own tranquil world. The views at and around the cabin property are beautiful! We thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the porch swing and rocking chairs listening to all the night noises and watching fireflies during our late May/early June stay.
All of the amenities you could need/want at a cabin stay are tended to above and beyond. The extra touches reminded me of things my own mother does; we felt completely at home, safe, and cozy. Absolutely top notch cleaning - this is a big deal for my OCD cleaning tendencies. I did not feel like I needed to scrub the whole place to feel comfortable.
The photos are accurate. I have to say it is even better in person; it is an experience. That much needed getaway to disconnect from all the hustle and bustle the world is constantly demanding.
The farm animals are an added pleasure for any animal lovers!
Greatest hosts we have ever rented a vacation home from; they truly went over and beyond to make our stay great and even extra special!! We have already recommended the cabin to several people and intend to revisit in the future.
Thank you for everything!

Top notch! Beautiful cabin, views of the pastures and mountains. Owner was exceptionally accommodating. High quality amenities and the added bonus of watching a calf being born right in front of us as we sipped our coffee on the porch our last morning. Amazing! We’ll be back for sure!

We really enjoyed our time here at this cabin! It was very clean and prepared for our stay. Kenny was very easy to communicate with every step of the way. He taught us a lot about cows and we even saw one live birth from the wrap around porch! Definitely made some sweet memories here as a family. We would love to come back sometime and would recommend this place.

My family very much enjoyed our 5 night stay. We enjoyed the porch, views and animals. Kenny, Teresa and their cleaning lady know how to do things right. It was a pleasure meeting Kenny. We were checked in on to make sure we were enjoying our stay and encouraged to let them know should we needed anything. Couldn’t think of anything to improve upon. It was the perfect location for visiting family in Johnson City. All conveniences (groceries and such) close by.
A shout out to Wayne and Nancy’s Family Restaurant and Store, a must try. We had 2 breakfasts and a dinner there.
Village Antiques and Home Decor is amazing. So much and at great prices. My husband and 13 year old son even enjoyed exploring with me.

The Smiths were wonderful. They were available daily with firewood. They were gracious enough to share their cattle with the children. The cabin getaway the exact respite we were looking for.

We stay six nights at these cabin, and we have amazing time there. My kids love Kenny farm, the view was absolute fantastic. The cabin was super clean, and cozy. Kenny was really nice and easy to get hold. He brought us some fresh brew coffee from the town, which was really nice coffee, I recommend whoever stay in the cabin to go to the Coffee Brew town and try. The cabin was close to the store.

My husband and I loved staying here. It was perfect for the two of us and our Rottweiler, Max.
Kenny and his family were fabulous to work with. The cabin was very clean and cozy. Our main purpose for this trip was to rest and relax and this cabin was just right for what we needed.
The location was close enough to Elizabethton and Johnson City to go grab groceries or a bite but far enough to be away from the hustle and bustle.
One of the best parts was just how beautiful the stars were at night. So peaceful!

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this property and will book it again when we return to the area. First thing to impress is the location of the home. While only a brief drive from town and all of its' amenities, it is located in a rural setting which is exactly what I was hoping for. I live in a urban area and wanted to get away from it for my visit. This place did not disappoint at all in that regards. A nice country setting with that nice relaxed atmosphere, heaven on earth.
The line of communication with Mr. Kenny the owner is top notch and he is a very gracious host. The first attribute of his place to get my attention is the cleanliness of the entire house, it was spotless! And I mean spotless, with everything you need. I tried to keep the place as clean as we found it accordingly. The appliances were in new condition and even had soap and bleach for the washing machine.
I can't think of any improvements to the place and I had no issues whatsoever so that is another note to how nice and well run this place is.
If you are going to be anywhere close to the area with your small family do yourself a favor and stay here. You won't regret it, I promise.

Everything about this stay was PERFECT. From the communication when booking to the end of our stay. They checked on us many times to see if there was anything we needed. Cleanliness is huge for us, and it must be to them, too. The property was immaculate and tidy! Basics were provided (paper towels, dish soap, hand soaps, garbage bags, laundry items, etc). There was also a basket of Lysol, hand sanitizer, and such. Plenty of towels and linens but a washer and dryer if needed. The kitchen was fully stocked with things like toaster, Keurig, crockpot, etc) There was a charcoal and a gas grill (which we enjoyed several times during our stay) and a good size fire pit with kindling and fire starter ready for you. The bed was comfy, linens comfortable, and plenty of closet space. Plenty of outlets. We loved the fact that we could bring our dog. He also enjoyed getting to explore the property. The location was so quiet and peaceful but yet such an easy drive to Kingsport, Johnson City, Bristol, TN, Roan Mountain, and other areas.
We would definitely stay with them again when returning to the area!!

Our family was looking to find a cabin to enjoy the mountains and surrounding area and couldn’t have been happier here. Everything possibly needed was supplied in the kitchen, bathroom, and other accessories down to having firewood, kindling, and matches ready in case we wanted to enjoy a fire… which we did. The wrap around porch and view looking out provided a perfect place to relax after a couple hikes we enjoyed over a long weekend. Everyday the host checked in with us to make sure we were doing well and had everything we needed. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a comfortable and well equipped place to relax or have as a base to explore around the area. Sycamore Shoals State Park is less than 10 minutes away and has a great museum for history buffs to explore this important site in American history. Laurel Falls is a moderate 5 mile hike that connects with the Appalachian Trail and is worth the effort.

What an incredible place to stay. The cabin was comfortable and clean. It has amazing views and is located close to Elizabethton where there are plenty of good restaurants and fun things to check out. The owner was super friendly and easy to communicate with if you had any questions.

My husband and I needed to get away from the city for a while. We longed for peace and quiet, and this place delivered. I’m picky when it comes to cleanliness, and the cabin was so clean it looked brand new inside! Even the wonderfully peaceful wrap-around porch was clean. It’s in the country and yet has any conveniences you need nearby. The only reason I hesitated giving a good rating is because we don’t want it booked up for our next visit. Many thanks to Kenny & Teresa for their hospitality.

My husband and I along with our two dogs enjoyed this property immensely. It is very clean which is a must for us. We loved waking up to the peace and quiet. Although in a country setting, the property is very convenient to stores and hiking areas. Don’t miss the opportunity to visit Watauga Lake and Dam and just a short distance are two falls: Blue Hole and Laurel Falls. When we weren’t out it in nature we took a drive to Johnson City and Bristol. Also, if you love old houses and covered bridges, Elizabethton is worth walking around. I wouldn’t hesitate to rent this property again. Enjoy!

The property was clean and had a fantastic view of the mountains, great to look at while enjoying coffee on the porch swing. The owner was very nice, and let our children pet the numerous farm animals, who are all friendly and adorable.
