This is my second time staying here this time with my side of the family. I grow more and more in love with Maine every time we visit and this property helps that immensly. The hosts are amazingly nice and have made the inside as beautiful as outside. It was a pleasure to be able to enjoy it so much again this year. Highly recommended for families that love the coastline.

Beautiful, relaxing home and location on the water. Was quiet and peaceful on the outside and welcoming on the inside. Hosts were very helpful and good communicators. Will definitely be recommending to friends and will seek out again next time.

We booked This house for our family of 5 including 3 kids ages 6,4, and 6 months, along with my in laws. There is lots of room in the house with the 4 bedrooms. The kids stayed in the room with the two beds. The kitchen is well stocked. The communication was great with owners. I loved the eclectic decor in the home.
Cons: back screen was broken when we arrived. The table in the kitchen did not have the stools shown in the images. And the table in the kitchen was very sticky to the touch. Otherwise it was clean and very well stocked for cleaning as well.
Pros: laundry was easy to do especially with provided detergent. Lots of bedrooms. 3 bathrooms! The dining table was large for easy entertainment or games. The view is amazing. My kids enjoyed the play ground area and balance beam in the back yard. We utilized the kayaks along with our own we brought. The best thing of all is the location is perfect! 15 min from everyday stores and convenience, private semi secluded location so that you could get away from it all, but also within 30 min of bar harbor and Acadia which we drove to almost every day. We loved walking down on the shoreline every night and the kids loved collecting shells!
The lack of air conditioning did not bother us, the evening got cool enough with windows open and fans. The only thing that would make it perfect would be a covering on the deck to enjoy the view in shade or out of rain.

Lovely, comfortable house on the bay. Pictures are accurate, beds are comfortable, and lots of amenities. The kitchen is fully stocked with cooking staples, spices, and cooking equipment. The house is decorated with beautiful and interesting art work. The owner is helpful and communication is good. Highly recommend!

Love the location and the house feels like home with a million dollar view. All your strees from everyday life leaves your body as you walk through the door and look out the back windows. If I had anything negative to say is I wish there was a way to get on the beach fromthe back yard

This was a great location for us. It was the quietest place we have ever stayed & it was just what we needed. The weather was not stellar but we made the best of it. Bar Harbor & Acadia were busy - as we were warned - but if you prefer a less crowded environment- there are plenty of options. The home was well supplied with everything one could need. The owner was easy to reach & made sure all was well with us. We would stay again if we come back.

This property and house was a great find! Beautiful oceanfront house, large yard, kayaks, and a view of Cadillac Mountain! 4 bedrooms and 3 full baths worked perfectly for our vacation with friends (two sets of parents and 4 teen girls). The house was clean and stocked with everything you need for a week away from home. We are used to bringing essentials with us for rental houses but this owner has a great grasp on hospitality. Communication with the owner was also super. He always responded, and quickly. He provides check in information plenty of time before your planned arrival. The house is in excellent working order, nothing broken as we have encountered with many past rentals. Major tourist sites are about a 45 minute drive, which we didn’t mind. If I had to say something negative it would just be to say there is no air conditioning. Not usually necessary on the Maine coast, but we had exceptionally hot and humid days so the house would get pretty warm. However, there are plenty of ceiling fans and box fans which helped cool the house once the sun went down.

All 8 of our family agreed this was our best vacation! The house was perfect- so cozy and charming. It had everything we needed and beautiful views. It is also close to everything we wanted to do- hiking, shops, restaurants, etc. We definitely recommend this property and would go back

We had a wonderful time at Eric and Gina's place! The location is amazing - right on the bay so you can watch the sunset over the water while sitting by the firepit! It was about a 30 min drive onto Mount Desert Island, so not too bad. The house itself was clean and adorable - tons of fun creative touches! The beds were comfortable, there were lots of essentials like soaps and paper towels and they were super responsive if we needed anything at all. Hihgly recommend!

We had a great stay -- the location on the water is gorgeous and very private - you can't see any neighbors from the back deck and the stars were beautiful each night. In the mornings we watched the lobster boats come through to check their traps as we had our morning coffee before heading off to Acadia to explore the park. Kayaking off the shore was definitely a highlight and we enjoyed to bonfire pit.

Our family enjoyed our stay. The home was VERY clean. Beds were very comfortable. Great view of the ocean. Had everything that we needed for our stay.

This home was everything we needed and could have asked for. Lots of room we had 10 of us and never felt crowded. The outside views were amazing. We didn't want to leave. Location was off the beaten path but, we loved that was centrally located though to get anywhere you needed. Right off the Beach and Park though which again we loved. We went to Acadia and Bar Harbor to name a few places and never felt like a huge drive. My family and I cannot say enough about this home. Eric also, was very quick to respond and check in was easy. If ever in area will definitely stay here again.

This property was amazing! Beautiful views, access to the ocean and away from the crowds. It was an easy 40 minute drive to Acadia and Bar Harbor. My children and niece and nephew really enjoyed exploring the tide pools. The house itself is clean comfortable and well equipt. This was an awesome vacation!

The house was great and being right on the water was wonderful. My kids loved exploring while the tide was out.

We had 3 generations staying at the house for a family wedding and it was the perfect size/space for us to enjoy time together in between events. There are more stairs than we anticipated or noticed in the listing, so we had to be mindful of that with our grandfather's mobility, but we made it work! Would definitely stay again!

Absolutely loved this home. Spacious enough for our group of 9 (6 adults, 3 children). The location was quiet and the children loved being able to walk on the beach. Perfect spot between Schoodic Peninsula and Mount Desert Island. Would stay again.

We absolutely loved the house! The location is beautiful of course, and far enough from the crowds at Bar Harbor for us to feel very relaxed. We loved the fire pit and the large deck with the views of Acadia. The decor, from the charming dishes to the vintage signs and antiques, to the many paintings, is quirky and fun and very welcoming. Not a typical rental property at all—you feel like you are in a home with real character. The beds were comfortable, the 3 full baths were very clean, and the kitchen had everything we needed. We would love to come back again, and we were sad to leave!

We loved our stay and found this to be perfect for exploring Acadia and surrounding areas. The property was even nicer than described, with beautiful art everywhere and nicely done fixtures and amenities. Highly recommend coffee on the back deck to watch the tide come in and the lobster boats to go out!

This is a beautiful property in a stunning natural setting. Outstanding views of the harbor. The owners were great, keeping us informed, and making sure that all went smoothly. The photos in the description are great, but in real-life it is even better. If you are looking for a retreat on the Maine Coast this is the place. Far enough to have privacy, but close enough to get to attractions in the area, such as Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. This is not just for Summer time. We were there at the end of December, and it was still great. Highly recommended at any Season!

We had a great stay! The owner stayed in communication with us. Everything was in the house that you could need while away from home. We went out and bought firewood and made use of the great fire pit. Our time there was very foggy, so we can’t say much about the views. Would definitely recommend the property!

We had a great stay. Exactly as listed, clean and comfortable. Communication with host was very easy-they were only a text away to quickly answer questions.

This home is in the ideal location if you enjoy watching sunrise over the ocean, being in nature, staying 15 minutes from a town with everything you might need, staying 30 minutes from the most wonderful National Park, and staying in a very comfortable home with a responsive host.
We throughouly enjoyed this home and our time there!

Eric was very responsive our entire stay and we appreciated all his recommendations for the local area. The house has a lot of charm and Maine decor. For our group of 8, it fit everyone comfortably. Water pressure can be low, but that’s expected of well water and we were already aware. Wifi was fast. Our favorite part was the fire pit, we roasted marshmellows! Only about 30 minutes to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. We would definitely stay here again.

Overall one of the best VRBO rentals we have stayed in. Home was very well equipped. It had plenty of space for three couples. We were about 30 minutes from anywhere we wanted to visit. Loved getting back to the house to enjoy the backyard and the view. Eric was very easy and fun to communicate with. Would stay here again if going back to the area

The 6 of us seniors stayed here for 3 nights. We picked for location and we were not disappointed. Well equipped kitchen. 3 bathrooms was nice. Great views. Plenty of seating in mid-century furniture, not the most comfortable. We did have cable outage 2 nights.

You have a beautiful home. We enjoyed our stay there even though the weather did not cooperate for us to use your water front but the views were worth it. We could see the ships come in. The beds were very comfortable, including the cot- she said it was the most comfortable she ever slept on. We loved that the facilities included washer & dryer & soap. Your home was almost immaculate when we arrived. Your instruction booklet was very helpful. I appreciated your quick response to texts & letting us know the house was ready. Thank you again for sharing your home. 😊

We stayed here with our adult children and significant others. There were 6 in our party and we could have easily fit another couple. The communication from Eric was amazing before, during and after our trip.
The property was a slice of heaven. The home is georgous, and so much fun to look through all their collectibles. They had every single thing we needed during our stay (and then some) .
Bedrooms were all spacious and comfortable. There isn't central air, but we didn't miss it one bit, even though the week we were there was in the high 80s every day. They have box fans for all the rooms, so we ran those and woke up chilly everyday.
I cannot recommend this home enough. It is perfection.

Everything was as described on the vrbo listing. Eric was extremely responsive to a few questions we had prior to our arrival at the property. Watching the tidal changes was a special bonus to being close to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. We doubt we'll ever get to travel back but highly recommend the house in Lamoine to anyone who wants to have a relaxing, quiet vacation.

We did a lot of chasing to Bar Harbor on this trip, but all said if we were to do it again, we would hang out at our home base, Little Edessa. The neighborhood is quiet, the setting is amazing. Had we been able to move this entire place closer to Bar Harbor, it would have been ideal. Do yourselves a favor and come here, but give yourselves planty of time to enjoy it all. The kitchen is fully furnished, the coffee is provided, the time will go much too quickly. Just lean into the beautiful setting, inside and out. The views are AMAZING! And the first thing we noticed when we walked into the house was a cruise ship. Amazing.

Our family of 8 had a fantastic week and loved the stay at the beachfront property. The house itself was clean and comfortable for our family. the upstairs master bedroom did not have a door at the top of the stairs so we chose to stay in the downstairs bedroom and gave the upstairs room to 2 teenagers instead. The kitchen was well stocked and the gas stove/oven was useful for our night at home to cook. We were able to drive into and out of Acadia. We also enjoyed the backyard and a beautiful moonrise over the bay from the firepit and grassy yard.

Our family stayed here with our 7 and 11 year old. The kitchen was extremely well stocked and included a lobster/clam pot which we enjoyed using for a lobster bake dinner. The view was lovely and exploring low tide waters was a highlight for the kids. It’s a fun, eclectic home and we hope to return again.

Great place for a weekend getaway!! Lots of games to play indoors and out, huge fire pit, kayaks, and beach combing-was the perfect way to getaway with the family!! Close enough to bar harbor but mostly just stayed and explored the immediate area.

We were 5 adults staying for a full week. The views were spectacular. While the weather didn’t always cooperate, when it did, it was great. The home was out of the way and private while still being close enough to Trenton, Ellsworth, and Bar Harbor. We enjoyed all the antique shops in the area as well.
The house was equipped with everything you need to cook including a coffee pot, Keurig, and coffee grinder (we love our coffee). The house is small, but everything was there and comfortable. Do pay attention to the couch height if you have knee issues, as it is low. I used one of the dining chairs which were the perfect height. My daughter loved using the kayak to go out on the water. My mother and daughter also walked daily on the rocky beach daily collecting a number of shells. It’s truly a great location as it’s quiet, not too many people there, and private. There is a public beach just a mile away with a sand beach for those who prefer traditional beach going.
Eric was great communicating with us and we got to meet him and chat. He has a fantastic personality and brought over new fans for each room as there was an unusual level of what the week we went. It was very thoughtful and appreciated. I definitely recommend renting here.

This home is quite charming with interesting and unique decor. Lots of room and huge back deck. Absolutely beautiful water view with the Acadia mountains in the background. Being from Virginia and used to hot, muggy summers, we were shocked that there was no air conditioning. However, we quickly found out that by opening the windows the home cooled quickly and it was refreshing to sleep with the cool air blowing through the home. Great communication with owner. I highly recommend this property.
