Couldn't have had a better week - house was in great shape, location is amazing, and owner was very accommodating . We had seven adults and four bedrooms layout was perfect. Also, a previous renter had warned of potential hot water issues with several people showering but we had six showers in one morning and no lack of hot water

We had a magical week at Timberpoint, something for all. If you just want to chill and relax, no need to leave the property. Kayak, read, fire pit..if you want to hike , bike, fish …all within reach. We did a family charter fishing trip out of nearby Bass Harbor we will never forget. So much fun. Highly recommend this property and hosts!

Check in with Dean was a breeze. The house is situated on a a very quiet road. It was clean and very well stocked with enough towels, toiletries and kitchenware for our week stay. The split air conditioning units kept the place comfortable for our stay. I appreciated the ability to make certain areas specific temperatures set to individual preferences.
We used the kitchen everyday and it was very spacious for four adults to work in. The large windows on the back side of the house were great for drinking coffee and watching the sky change colors. The barbecue and outdoor dining setup was perfect for family meals outside. The firepit was perfect to roast marshmallows to round out our nights. Check out instructions were clear and simple. I would highly recommend this property!

We had a great time! Close to Bar Harbor. When we didn’t go out we just enjoyed sitting by the water and watching boats and wildlife!

I cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed our 14 days at your location. My 5:00 am morning coffee watching the sunrises, the birds flying over the water and the ski changing color by the minute is what I will miss tremendously. Nobody wanted to leave this morning!!!
Thank you for the memories and the wonderful time spent at your place.

We had some hiccups at check in but Dean took care of it right away. The house and setting were beautiful and we had everything we needed right there.

Our short stay at Timber Point was wonderful. Dean, the owner, is quick to respond with answers to our questions. The property is clean, beds comfortable, kitchen and dining area suited our group of 7. Everything was in working order and the views were impressive. We went on walks and the area is quiet with very little traffic. We highly recommend staying at Timber Point.

The area and house are beautiful. Just a heads up that check in isn’t until 4PM and checkout is at 10am with a fair amount of chores to do (a consideration in costing as you more or less lose a day)

Early spring Maine/Acadia trip, and this property was the perfect location to use as a home base for exploring. Getting up in the mornings looking out at the water yards away from the panoramic windows was fantastic. Lots of space so it was truly relaxing after a long day of cool weather hiking. Will definitely look up again next time we're out east.

Timber Point is in a great location, had everything we needed, and was immaculately clean. Peaceful and perfect. We would absolutely stay there again.

Our family (2 couples) truly enjoyed this wonderful property!! It has amazing views and was extremely comfortable and clean. We found it conveniently located for exploring Acadia National Park, which was our primary attraction. The kitchen was well equipped and we had everything we needed. We particularly liked the info packet provided on hiking trails and good restaurants in the surrounding areas. It was very helpful. It was just a short walk to Lamoine Beach and it seemed like our own private beach in April, at least. We hope to return someday and would definitely rent again! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

We loved coming home from exploring Acadia each day to this lovely relaxing home. It felt like our own quiet retreat to recover and get ready for the next day’s adventures. It was by far the cleanest vacation rental we’ve ever stayed at. The kitchen was well equipped with great quality pans, utensils and appliances. It was a special treat having a large water cooler in the kitchen. The house does apparently have a shallow well so we had to be careful not to use too much water at once. This meant staggering our showers and use of the dishwasher and washing machine. It was inconvenient at times but it wasn’t too big a deal because there were only 4 of us. Also slightly inconvenient was not having a half bath downstairs. The people sleeping upstairs have to either use the master bath downstairs or go all the way upstairs to use the hall bath. This wasn’t a huge problem for us but I can see how older couples might find it difficult. All in all, though, we loved our stay. Dean was super responsive with every communication. Also the view at the back of the house is amazing. We had a wonderful week.

Overdue, family bucket list trip to Acadia and our home was over the top incredible. Quiet, serene, peaceful property overlooking the water. Beautifully decorated, clean and exceeded our expectations. So grateful for a perfect trip!

My husband and I were there with our daughter and her boyfriend. The home was clean, comfortable and well equipped. My husband is an amputee, who can get around on crutches, and the house was easily accessed by him. Two small stairs to get inside and a walk in shower on the first floor.
We were entertained by all the shore birds, a seal, an eagle, the snow hare, a skunk and plenty of deer. The weather didn't cooperate this vacation but we still made several trips to Acadia at Mt Desert Island and Schoodic peninsula , visited several great antique stores and had some wonderful lunches in Bar Harbor. A very nice getaway.

Timber Point was perfect for us. The property was everything we had hoped for and more. There were 2 couples, each with our own floor and bathroom. It’s located on the end of a point, quiet and peaceful. Amazing views of the cove, watching the tides, and plentiful wildlife, (nightly visits of the docile Pete the porcupine, family of deer strolling thru back yard, snow hare and an abundance of seagulls and other birds feasting during low tide. One of our highlights of the area was Schoodic Point on the east side of Acadia Park on the mainland. Crashing waves against the rugged rocks was awe inspiring. We visited Winter Harbor and had butter dripped lobster rolls and saw other great places (US bell foundry) Don’t miss this area. We also visited Acadia Park on Desert island. Spectacular views from top of Cadillac Mountain and lunch at Jordan pond are not to be missed. Also of course several other areas, hikes, etc to experience. We were delayed by Hurricane Lee, but it was worth the wait. Highly recommend!

This property was perfect for our family of 5. So much space for us to spread out. Dan and Denise have thought of everything. We truly felt at home. Our location was great home base for exploring Bar Harbor, Acadia and the surrounding area. The neighborhood was quiet and the views from the patio were enchanting. If you are looking for a peaceful Maine getaway, look no farther!

Away from it all. Beautiful views from the windows. Directly between 2 Acadia NP locations (schoodic & mount desert Island). Lots of driving—45 minutes either way.
Getting out on the water was wonderful, plenty of life vests, youth, child and adult size.
If you like to cook this is a great house with a big kitchen/outdoor grill patio. Kitchen was well equipped, and had condiments, spices and oils.
Even on warm days wear pants and long sleeves to protect against mosquitoes.

We had a lovely stay at Timber Point. The views are gorgeous. We only had 1 question which Dean answered. My kids and niece enjoyed the kayaks. My niece also loved searching for live crabs, and just watching them. We loved the location, which was close to everywhere we wanted to visit. The beds were extremely comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed. We cooked a lot. I even made a blueberry pie! I’m patting myself on the back for such a great find, and kudos to Dean as well. LOL I’d love to live the rest of my days in a home with a view like this.

We loved staying at Timber Point. The waterfront views were amazing, the house was quite comfortable, and we saw plenty of deer on the property. The home is a bit secluded and requires 30-40 minutes to get to anywhere on Mount Desert Island.

Great house. Only thing missing is an indoor fireplace and access to local television and sports. Kitchen was very well equipped and it’s one of the cleanest homes I’ve ever stayed in. Owner was very responsive. We highly recommend.

Our stay was very nice and relaxing. The beds were so comfortable. The views were amazing, loved the kayaks. The bathroom on the main floor was a little inconvenient being located in the master suite for a shared family stay.
The water heater def can only handle one thing at a time one shower at a time etc.
But overall our trip was perfect.

We spent 3 nights during prime time fall color trip. The house was good and beds were comfortable. This property is very quiet and remote and is about a 40 minute drive to downtown Bar Harbor/Acadia. The water level appeared lower so wasn’t sure how to use the kayaks. Would highly recommend staying at this property if you want a quiet place.

We had 3 adult couples that were a combination of friends and family. Although the listing is accurate as far as bedrooms/size of beds goes, the rooms are not equitable for this type of group. There are 2 bedrooms downstairs but the only bathroom is in the master bedroom. Also, the second downstairs bedroom is super small with no dresser or closet (there is a closet outside the room to use). In the end we all managed and had a great time. The view out the back is beautiful and serene. We only saw a skunk running across the backyard and some deer while we were there. We were in a very peaceful location with a 30-45 minute drive into Acadia and Bar Harbor. And although we missed out on the perfect sunrise on Cadillac Mountain (too many clouds the day we had our reservation), the morning we left was a beautiful, sunny day and 4 minutes away at Lamoine Beach we got our perfect sunrise. I would definitely stay here again.

This was a well appointed home. The beds were so comfortable!!! The setting and the views were spectacular. Wished we could have stayed longer. Easy drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. The town of Ellsworth was convenient for groceries and dinner our first night. We would definitely stay here again. The owner was quick to respond to any questions we had.

Gorgeous spacious house with great view right on the water. Everything at the house was just as described on listing. I did not even need to contact the owner once. Nice quiet spot that is secluded from the crowds of Bar Harbor (about 40 min away). The house was very clean and we all had a great time. Wish we stayed longer and plan to come back.

The property was just as advertised. Stunning views..quiet cove. Beautiful and immaculate house. Star gazing was awe inspiring. So much to do and see in Bar Harbor. Was bucket list trip in honor of my late husband and sister. My older sis and her BFF and me and my BFF had absolutely greatest trip ever. Did not want to leave. Recommendations from owner were spot on. They were so kind and patiently answered all questions. Needed another month there! Cannot wait to come back. We made priceless new memories. My husband and my sis would have loved it..they did..they just got to see it thru our eyes. Thank you for bringing so much joy to our lives. A vacation to remember..Hope to get back soon for the view, the house, the food, the sights..the peace..Thank you from the Daisy girls!

Beautiful waterfront retreat!
This is a perfect property if you are looking for a gorgeous waterfront landing spot as you explore Acadia & the surrounding areas. While it is about a 30-40 minute drive to Mount Desert Island, Acadia, & Bar Harbor we loved escaping the crowds and coming back to Timber Point in the evenings to enjoy the fire pit and s'mores at the water's edge. Dean, the owner, was incredibly responsive for every question or request we had and the property was in excellent condition and incredibly clean! Everything you could imagine wanting or needing was at your fingertips - Kayaks, fire pit, kitchen supplies, Netflix, washer & dryer! We had plenty of space for everyone and hope to be back to stay again soon.

The Ideal Maine Coast Vacation
First of all, I want to thank Dean for renting out this gem of a property. I know that Lamoine is a beautiful, sleepy, (mostly retired) community who like their privacy and quiet, so I was thrilled to find this house on the point for rent! My grandparents lived right down the road on the coast for as long as I've been alive... When they sold their property, my family was looking for a place to stay and keep making beautiful memories: this is that place! It feels like home; it's private and has TONS of space; it has all the essentials. Don't hesitate. Our favorite things were kayaking from the rocky beach, making bonfires, and stargazing!
*Note to anyone staying for a while, bring your own grocery bags if you don't want to pay for them :)
*The ONLY thing that could make this stay any better, would be to bring a hammock and tie it between the trees. OR have some kind of swing from one of the trees.
There were also lots of essential things in the fridge left from the previous stay which was nice.

Peaceful getaway
Family vacation. Chose home because of waterfront, secluded, and plenty of space. The home didn't disappoint. The moment we pulled in, we were in awe. The pictures do not do justice. The home was immaculate, no smells. Plenty of space. Outdoor seating, make sure to bring bug spray or a powerful mosquitoe deterrent. We made smores using the fire pit. Home is stocked with whatever you need. Nice to have laundry facilities. On rainy days, we enjoyed playing board games that are there. We saw snowshoe hare and deer in the back yard. The narrows ever changing with the tide. Peaceful to sit and just take in the views of that and Mountains. Perfect home to come back to after a day of exploring. Dean was prompt in replying to any questions we had. Highly recommend and we would definitely stay again.
