Casey was very nice and friendly upon checking in.

Hotel room was not updated. The A/C was not working properly. In fact the owner told me not to turn on the A/C since it was going to get cooler later on throughout the night, even though it was very humid. The room itself was not worth the price, especially after the owner added additional fee for having 4 guests instead of the 2 guests listed the reservation.

It was the cutest little cottage. The ac got cold, and the shower was hot! It was down the road from bar harbor and thunder hole where we watched the sunrise! The shower is very small but I washed my hair and it was boiling HOT! Would absolutely stay here again

Favorite thing for us. The staff very friendly. Very clean room. And the shower presssure. Its strong just like it should be unlike most hotels. And fast hot water..

Room was fine for a one night stay. It was small but functional. Check in was quick and easy. I was under the impression i was getting a seperate cabin but it was a duplex.

The restroom was very small and I couldn't fit in it. I had to go outside every time I needed to use the toilet.

Bathroom had slight smell of urine maybe a air refresher would really help or overhead fan for such a small room

Desk personnel was nice. He helped us with the wifi when it didn’t connect at first. Wifi was spotty, but was better the following morning. The place is clean and basic but not worth the price. I guess everything is expensive in the area. We are Canadian so the exchange made it very expensive for an old motel.

Perfect for what it’s trying to be. A clean motel not far from Acadia. A little disappointed the WiFi in our cabin didn’t work the entire weekend ; and the cabin style rooms do have a microwave but no coffee cup to heat something up in. Overall a solid stay

I would like to say about property is very nice cottages and housekeeping is top notch and According to the money, room is good. So , I will definitely recommended to other people. The guy who is polish at front desk is very decent and informative and very respectful person.

Clean, quaint, and SO CLOSE to great places like The Lumberjack show, two great breweries in Ellsworth, seafood restaurants, and Blueberry Hill ice cream parlor. The traffic was noticeable by day, but we were out at Acadia NP and Bar Harbor so that didn’t matter and it was quiet at night while we slept. I highly recommend this little gem and would stay here again.

This is a fairly nice place. All amenities are there. Close the parks. Excellent location and clean
1.5 / 5.0
clean room but quite dated. no amenities such as coffee maker, ice bucket etc. overpriced, like every accommodation close to bar harbor.

Beautiful and convenient location close to Acadia, easy check-in, and cozy room. Just what we needed!

Very affordable, not a great downtown location but easily drivable, not fancy but clean and easy. Proprietor is a friendly and fascinating man who travels the world during the off season. Great value for the price :)

We loved the price, it was close to Acadia, it was clean and secure. Yes the bathroom is small, but it had plenty of hot water and the toilet worked. The bed was comfortable and after all, we only were there to cleanup and sleep and then out to see the sights.

Shower stall was inadequate- too small and very low showerhead; bathroom itself was tiny, breakfast was packaged donuts, no ice machine.

It was very clean and safe for me as a single person traveling.

I said this on all my reviews on my New England trip the property was old outdated and over priced that said property was clean comfortable located in a good location and was the best value I found in the area. Staff was friendly and helpful. Other than price my only complaint was the shower was small. I would definitely stay here again

Clean, safe and quiet. It was perfect for a one-night stay if your plans are to explore Acadia.

Rooms are small. No place to put clothes had to keep them in the suitecase. The bathroom is micro small. No plug in the bathroom for hair dryer. VERY SMALL. Will find other accommodations on our next trip to Bar Harbor.

The property was clean and well maintained. We stayed four nights and each day housekeeping did a nice job taking care of our room. It is right off the highway, so it is loud at times when the vehicles zoom by. There is a lot of outdoor lighting which makes it feel safe, however some of that light filters into the room. I would have liked the room to have had black out curtains. The shower is extremely small. So, if you are a tall or large person this shower may not work well for you. Otherwise, as their outdoor sign read "Spend a night, NOT a fortune". My husband and I would stay here again. It's a good value and an easy drive to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor.

When I ask for shampoo, the staff asked me twice: do you shampoo everyday? We have 2 people, for 2 days, only one small shampoo,

The property was very convenient to Bar Harbor.
The only thing I didn't like was the chairs in the living room area. I felt like I was in a waiting room at doctor's office. Wish there would have been a couple of recliners.

Great location to Acadia NP. Liked that the room was clean and was a nice size with a microwave and fridge. The management was also very responsive when we found that our hair dryer was broken and it was replaced quickly. The beds were comfortable enough but creaked when you moved. The only complaint is the bad plumbing in the shower. The shower water temperature fluctuated between very hot and cold every 5-10 seconds so had to take a quick shower.

It was close to Acadia Nat'l Park. It felt more like I was camping than hoteling...the pics on Expedia were quite deceiving to what its really like...no sofa or comfortable chairs to watch TV or socialize in the "living area"

The shower is dangerous and so small that I fell trying to pick up the soap. I’m 5’4” and weigh 137. Not a large person. No safety bar. Owner is rude. Very minimal accommodations.

Good place to stay the night when you’re trying to save a little money on your way to Acadia. Property is very dated and might not be comfortable for a multi night visit, but served its purpose for our road trip.

Clean and comfortable.

Clean, good service. Older motel without modern amenities. Noisy, on busy road with no noise abatement. Advertises spend the night, not a fortune-agree.

Was told at the desk that the water was not drinkable due to a recent hurricane. We’re told we could bathe in it, just don’t drink it. Bottled water should have been offered on site, but we had to leave to get some. The place is in desperate need of upgrading. Mattress felt like an air mattress.

They show up when filtering for properties that are pet-friendly. Then they charge you extra, saying they are not pet friendly. If pets are not allowed, they should fix their listing with Expedia so they are not included when someone is searching for pet-friendly properties.
5.0 / 5.0
The stay was nice. There were some spiders and bees but nothing too crazy. At the end of the day we are in nature. The cottage was nice!
1.5 / 5.0
The bathroom is tiny, the shower stall is about 2ft by 2ft and the toilet area is also too narrow to use. I'm a big guy and using the bathroom was a very unpleasant experience.
