We decided last minute to take a trip around the fourth. The owners were quick to respond and allow us into their home. The location was just what we needed, off the beaten path. The neighboring deer greeted us in the driveway before we could get u loaded. The foosball table and other board games was a great distraction for the younger children and the hot tub for the teens, allowing the adults to get in done R&R. Will most definitely book again! Helen is our favorite getaway!

We decide last minute to take a trip on the holiday weekend. We were so lucky to find this cabin for the long weekend. We had so much fun touring Helen and driving through the mountains. We spent quality time at the cabin grilling out and enjoying the hot tub.

The house needs to be cleaned on the outside, there were spider webs every where, wasp nest on outside the house.windows in living room and kitchen need to be cleaned.tv reception and wi-fi was bad.mattress in lower bedroom needs replacing. Not enough seating in living room. Outside trash needed to be emptied from the last renters and cleaned up.

Property was very nice and secluded. Everything was clean with plenty of supplies and utensils for a comfortable stay. My only complaint was i couldn't stay longer.

Overall we had a great stay at Misty Mountain. It was secluded in the woods, while still being a short 10-15min ride to downtown Helen and the other activities we were interested in. There was an issue with the hot tub, but after telling them about it, they sent someone out to fix it. The wifi on the other hand was not reliable and wouldn't stay on. It wasn't a big deal for us, but if you were trying to do some work while being on family vacation it would have been a real issue. The thing I really want folks to know about the place is that as beautiful as it is, and despite what the listing says, you really need an SUV at least to access the cabin. It is not a paved road to get there, it is gravel, and dirt and very steep and winds and is very narrow. There were parts coming and going, where if another car is coming in the other direction I had to pull off the road or even back up to get into someone's driveway so the other car could pass. My wife has an SUV so we were ok, but had we been in my car, I'm not sure we could have gotten back and forth to the place. I wish that was more clearly explained. We got used to the drive in and out but I wouldn't want to be doing that in a car or very late at night. Overall the cabin was great but there are some things folks should know before booking this cabin.

Gravel road is a bit hard to drive. It would be excellent if it was paved and had lights to make it safer to travel on this road at night. Once you arrive at the cabin, it is amazing!

Beautiful and relaxing
Beautiful cabin in the woods. The drive to the cabin is breathtaking and my granddaughters 3 & 5 were so excited to see a baby bear on our way.

Well equipped and beautiful
We had a great time! The house is well equipped and has everything you might need. It was very clean. My kids said their favorite part of the whole trip was the house…they did not want to leave to check out any of the area activities. Getting in and out of the drive can be a little challenging if you aren’t used to steep drops and a lot of gravel.

Misty Mt. Getaway
Very enjoyable, very peaceful. Quite and clean. A few extra spider webs that could of been cleaned up from the lights inside, (dining room/bathroom) The hot tub light doesnt work. Other than those few minor things Our Family loved the cabin and everything about it, we'd go back in a heartbeat on our next family trip to Helen Ga.!!

Nice Cabin
My family and I enjoyed a quick weekend getaway at this cabin and we were overall very pleased with our stay. The cabin was clean and private but also close to Unicoi State Park and Downtown Helen. The only thing I would note is that you have to travel about 1.2 miles down a very narrow (and in places steep) gravel road to reach the cabin which could be an issue depending on the vehicle you are driving.

Helen cabin
Cabin is 5 miles outside of Helen. Cabin sits 1 mile off paved road. Road to cabin needs improvement. Cabin needs updated. Needs an additional TV. Full size bed not good. Need more furniture in great room.

Nice clean cabin
We had a wonderful stay at this cabin, the property was clean and comfortable. I wish there had been a few more lights outside around the hot tub area. The lights in the hot tub itself didn't work so it was fairly dark at night. But, the jets worked well and it's was very nice!

Oct. 2020 at Misty Mtn. Hideaway
Very peaceful setting in the woods. Access road is less than desirable (gravel and rough in places). House is homey and comfortable although the upstairs guests noticed an odor that seemed to come from the upstairs bathroom.

Quiet and convenient
Good location. Large and attractive rooms. Kitchen has lots of things. Quiet.

Close to everything
We had a great time at this cabin. Accommodations were nice. My favorite part was that it was close to everything: tubing, Helen, horseback riding, and hiking. The cabin had some dust and cobwebs which kicked up our allergies, and the deck was in need of a power wash, but the mgt company had someone out to quote it while we were there. Mgt was super responsive, and easy to deal with. Overall, good value and proximity to everything.

Good family cabin
Enjoyed our stay here. Be prepared to be off the beaten path, which is what we wanted. Property manager was fantastic and very responsive and helpful. Will certainly stay at one of their properties in the future.

Great Family Vacation
We had a great time in Helen in our family vacation, 5 adults and 1 infant. I saw some reviews about the steep driveway and we decided to rent an SUV instead of a Van and I'm very glad we did. The driveway in fact is very steep and I would not have felt comfortable in a regular vehicle.
PROS: the cabin is pretty, nice big bright wondows. The neighborhood is safe. You can see other cabins around but still feel isolated which was what we were looking for. The location is perfect, is very close to hike trails, falls, wineries, the town of Helen, and may attractions. All within 10 - 15 mins drive. Our family enjoyed the foosball. Checking in and out was easy, instructions to get to the cabin were clear.
CONS: Once we checked in we noticed a couple of things in the bathroom upstairs that were no working properly. I sent an email to the property manager and they sent someone right away to fix them and that was good. The cabin inside was clean, but I still saw some spiders and spiders webs here and there. The deck outside could use some cleaning, it was moldy and very slippery, our 15 month old baby slipped multiple times, so we decided not let him outside, which was not ideal. The Hot tub was clean, but there are no steps, so definitely you need to put a towel on the floor when getting out. The floors in the upstairs bedrooms are either cracked on some spots because you can a hear a very loud noise in the downstairs bedroom when someone is walking upstairs, sound like someone is hitting the floor with a stick, and the floors are carpet which makes no sense. The full size bed upstairs was a very loud when you turned, felt like it would it was about the break.
Overall we had a great time, we didn't spend that much time in the cabin, with some work done the Cabin will be the perfect place for a Family Vacation.
