About this apartment rental
BURGAU known as the “Little Santorini of Portugal”. Only 3 mins walk to a soft sandy clean and quiet beach , this luxurious Penthouse has all you could wish for in great holiday accommodation. Three bedrooms; one double bedroom on ground level and two large twin bedrooms on the second level. Two bathrooms, one adjacent to the master bedroom on the ground floor and a second bathroom on level two. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.This unique design concept with a mezzanine overlooking the delightful living area may suit a couple or up to six persons in the utmost of comfort. A beautifully furnished living room, sound system and large flat screen TV with patio doors leading on to a large terrace which enjoys sunshine to late in the evening - a sun worshipper's paradise. The terrace comprises of a large dining table and patio furniture as seen in the photograph. Off the living area is a separate dining room, again with patio doors leading to a balcony which enjoys the morning sunshine; wonderful views to Monchique ideal for breakfast.

If you like to enjoy the beautiful sandy beaches , crystal clear Atlantic ocean, walk on the cliff top to Salema, peruse local markets or simply inhale the intoxicatingly pure air , then Burgau will not be surpassed. The local people are most welcoming and English is widely used.The airport in Faro is only an hour's drive from this picturesque village.

This apartment - over 2 floors - is totally fabulous!
I have never before stayed in a place so well-equipped: it has everything you could possibly need, is spotlessly clean, very comfortable, spacious, airy and convenient for both the town with its restaurants, and the beach (about 200m away).
There are 2 balconies which catch the sun all day - ideal for breakfast/lunch and then an early evening rose or two…
Burgau is small but has a good selection of restaurants and the mini supermarket on the beach road is very well stocked.
We hired a car, but it is not essential if you are content with the beach life as Burgau’s beach is beautiful and has a selection of water sports.
All in all, this was a perfect holiday and I cannot commend the apartment highly enough.

Lovely apartment, much more spacious than we expected, had everything we needed. Main balcony was sunny all afternoon until sunset Booking process was easy and owner and local property manager were both friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Would definitely book again.

Riesiges Apartment in zentraler Lage, sehr nah zum Strand
Das Apartment ist sehr groß mit drei geräumigen Schlafzimmern und liegt zentral in der beschaulichen Stadt Burgau. Zum Strand sind es 5 Minuten zu Fuß und unser Lieblingsrestaurant No. 3 ist auch nur 3 Minuten entfernt.
Ein Grill ist vorhanden, so dass man auf der schönen Terrasse im Abendlicht grillen kann.
Die Einrichtung ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen und an einigen Stellen mussten wir etwas nachputzen.
Positiv ist, dass alles in der Küche vorhanden ist, inklusive Geschirrspüler.
Maria ist sehr hilfsbereit und Gery hat die Übergabe unkompliziert gestaltet.
Insbesondere für größere Familien oder Gruppen von 6 Leuten zu empfehlen.

Spacious airy apartment
Property in a good location. Plenty of room, two balconies. Ideal base for the beach, bars and restaurants that Burgau has to offer.

First time we've actually stayed in the centre of Burgau and this apartment was perfect, quiet, spacious but near amenties. A 1 minute walk away from the local supermarket which is very well stocked and priced. And a good 5-8 minute walk down to the beach. We were always able to find a parking space in the area, although sometimes tight. The balcony off the kitchen was perfect for the morning sun, with views over the hotel pool and far distance hills. And the west facing balcony off the lounge was a super sheltered place for the last of the evening rays with a Sagres. All the beds were comfortable and there was enough room in the lounge for 5 adults to gather around the smart tv. We cooked a couple of times and found most things in the kitchen. The dish washer kinda worked but could do with replacing as there isn't alot of sink drainage area after a hand wash up, minor but worth mentioning. All in all we had a fab time and even though our flight was a little dealyed, which meant we didn't reach Burgau until 1:30am we were still met by Gary and his family who showed us in and around the apartment.

Wir haben herrliche Tage in Burgau verbracht. Das Appartement ist sehr groß und bietet somit viel Platz für alle Bedürfnisse. Wir haben nichts vermisst und konnten den Aufenthalt wirklich sehr genießen. Vielen Dank!

Schönes Domizil in ruhiger Lage
Das Appartment ist sehr großzügig geschnitten und verfügt über jeglichen Komfort.
Die 2 Terrassen sind wunderbar; lediglich ein Sonnenschirm hierfür wäre ideal.
Die Vermieterin kümmert sich umgehend bei aufkommenden Fragen, alles sehr unkompliziert. Wir werden mit Sicherheit wiederkommen.

Wonderful holiday in a lovely village
We are just back from a wonderful holiday in the lovely village of Burgau. Despite our very late arrival on the first evening Gary was very helpful,available to give us directions and show us round the apartment which is centrally located.
This apartment is spacious , bright, airy and tastefully decorated. The appliances, including the A/C the washing machine and the cooker are easy to use and very efficient. The tiled floor and large leather couch ensured a dust free environment but the real gem is the large and sunny south facing balcony. Despite there being six of us there was ample room for us to relax and enjoy sitting , sun bathing or eating al fresco. Burgau is a small village with a great beach, a well stocked small supermarket and plenty good restaurants. There are also plenty coastal paths from one village to the next . We had not only a great time but a much needed rest . I would thoroughly recommend a holiday here to anyone who enjoys the a warm sunny break in a lovely apartment.

Sehr schönes Apartment in Burgau
Wir haben uns 14 Tage sehr wohl in der zweistöckigen Wohnung gefühlt.
Diese ist mit allem Komfort und sehr liebevoll eingerichtet. Es stehen 2 Schlafzimmer im oberen Bereich zur Verfügung mit einem eigenen Bad. Im unteren Bereich der Wohnung befindet sich ein sehr gemütliches, liebevoll eingerichtetes, Wohnzimmer mit einem großen Balkon, Küche voll ausgestattet mit Toaster, Spülmaschine, Gefrierschrank, Geschirr....
Von der Küche und Esszimmer kann man auf einen weiteren Balkon gehen, dieser ist etwas kleiner als der andere. Bad im unteren Bereich ist groß mit Badewanne und Bidet, das Schlafzimmer sehr nett eingerichtet mit Tür auf den großen Balkon.
Die Wohnung liegt so zentral, dass man nur um die Ecke gehen muss um morgens frische Brötchen, Obst etc. zu holen. Zum Strand sind es 2 Minuten.
Diese schöne Maisonette-Wohnung kann man nur empfehlen. Wir müssen auch noch hervorheben, dass alles super geklappt hat. Wir wurden so liebevoll empfangen, und auch bei der Abreise durften wir noch länger in der Wohnung bleiben, da unser Flieger erst abends ging. Auch der Kontakt zu unserer Vermieterin war immer so liebevoll, unkompliziert und nett. Wir können einfach nur sagen, eine Top-Empfehlung.

We stayed in this lovely apartment during the recent October mid term break.
As a family of two adults and 4 children (including teenagers!) we found there is not a huge selection of 3 bedroom accommodations in Burgau, so this apartment right in the centre of the village was a real "find".
The apartment has a spacious feel from the minute you walk in the door, the living area has a double height ceiling with doors to a large sunny terrace. There is some lovely artwork on the walls, and stairs to a mezzanine level with bedrooms two and three. Both of these bedrooms, like downstairs were spacious, airy and clean.
On the ground level there is a separate kitchen with access to a smaller balcony which got the sunshine in the mornings! We didn't dine in much but had we wanted to the facilities for cooking were excellent, including a separate dining room with a table sufficient to accommodate our large family!
Our older teenagers were very impressed with their "studio room", although it is an integral part of the apartment, it also has its own separate access door so they were able to come and go as they pleased and felt very independent!
I felt this room would be ideal if we were to consider bringing the grandparents in the future!
Bathrooms were spotless and modern, hot water was plentiful, air conditioning was available although we had no requirement for it at this time.
While this apartment was in the centre of the village, it seemed a very peaceful and quiet location, while shops and restaurants are literally on your doorstep, the beach and the few bars of Burgau are about a 4 minute walk so I imagine it would be still nice and quiet even in peak Summer.
I would recommend this apartment without hesitation, and definitely hope to return next Summer.
