We booked the Villa over 18 months before the actual holiday but the week we had all been looking forward to soon arrived and our expectations were surpassed. The Villa was wonderful and more than fulfilled our wishes for a family of 8 adults and 2 young children. The pool was brilliant, views from the porch and terrace outstanding. The Villa had everything you would need and was well equipped. You do need a car when visiting local supermarkets of which there are plenty in Coín. The local restaurant is a 25 minute walk and very friendly and excellent value for money. On arriving at the Villa all necessary information was provided by Steve “ the caretaker” and you knew help was at hand if needed. Super Villa for a super holiday.

Third visit to this property and had another great visit. Hopefully we will be back again.

We enjoyed the Villa. The pool is great and the air conditioning was much needed in the heat of an August summer.
Hiring a car is a must and note that there is a 1km bumpy chalk track to get to the property.
Lovely holiday

We had a lovely stay at the house, the garden was beautiful and the pool was great. We stayed with two families and all the children and adults had a great time! Car rental is a must and there is enough to see in the surroundings. Steve the host was also very kind and helpful. Great memories!!

Great House 100% as advertised
We enjoyed our nearly 2 week stay very much. The most positive things I can say about this rental property would be: "I would not hesitate to go back for a future vacation and I would certainly recommend this property to out closest friends."

A wonderful place for a family holiday.
We loved the pool and the amount of space for a family group of 12 including two one year olds. A great place to holiday during the current crisis with everything provided and great food shopping two minutes away.

Everything you could hope for
Quiet secluded and very comfortable, the pool was fabulous. We had the pool heated and although the Easter weather was brilliant we were glad of the warm water that meant the grandchildren (and the rest) couldn’t get enough. The chap looking after the property Steve was very helpful with great tips on where to go and local food and shops. WiFi and English tv meant that we could keep in touch and the young ones didn’t feel deprived. A car is essential as this property is a little off the beaten track but that was just what we needed. The walled gardens with electric gates meant we were never concerned about the children wandering off. The property had everything needed we ended up cooking ‘at home’ every night. Maundy Thursday and Good Friday lots of shops and restaurants were closed but if desperate the petrol stations sold everything (including wine) !, Couldn’t recommend this property highly enough. It is the first time we have agreed we would go again.

Outstanding Villa, would love to go back!
We went as a group of friends with babies and children. It was a superb villa with lots of space in beautiful surroundings. Stunning views, great pool, would love to go back. There's a great local restaurant at the bottom of the lane and lots to do within an hours drive. Top holiday. Highly recommended!

Great place
We had a very enjoyable stay at the villa. We had two small kids with us and they loved playing in the garden. The Villa is well looked after and a great place to relax. Can't add much more to what's already been said in the other reviews. Highly recommended.

Cracking villa in a quiet location mins from town
Two families had loads of room to hang out. Great communal eating area out front. You will have to fight over the master bedroom!
Amazing living room/lounge area - huge. Palm trees really add something - bit of shade now and then and just looks great.
What we loved was the feel of a remote location while being just mins from Coin and Alhaurin - we also walked to and from the local restaurant up the road. Handy for all the costas too.
Highly recommended.

Excellent stay - Great Villa!
This villa is excellent, we were in a group of 10 - age ranges mid 20's-mid 30's.
Had everything we needed, large garden, good pool, great area for sitting out and good location in between two small towns and half hour drive to Marbella.
The owner is very easy to deal with and is easily contactable.
While staying here the caretaker Steve was extremely helpful, he has a vast local knowledge and without him out our stay wouldn't have been quite so smooth so this is another huge plus.
The only reason that as a group we rated this 4/5 was the lack of air con in some rooms but this certainly didn't spoil our time but was worth mentioning as those in our group in these rooms did find it tough at night but must be said it was 40 degrees several days.
Overall I would recommend this villa to anybody as the overall experience was well worth the money we paid.

Perfect villa, amazing location
We stayed at the villa for a family holiday of 2 weeks, along with our two toddlers. The house and garden were great for both kids and adults - lots of space, very easy to settle into, opportunity for sun and shade, choices of whether to eat inside or outside, kitchen vs BBQ etc. We had expected to spend our time at the villa, but quickly realised how close we were to so many things to do, from Malaga to Marbella, from Ojen to Mijas...and even the stunning mountain drive to Ronda felt much easier and closer than expected.
Highly recommended.

2 weeks in paradise!!
This property did not disappoint. It was a beautifully maintained villa, clean, picturesque, quiet and peaceful area and most importantly a pool that we used frequently. Our other fear was that this villa was far away from any major cities to visit but we managed to drive to Marbella (30 Mins) and Malaga (40mins) without too much difficulty and found the drive to both places quite simple, and pleasant.
Overall I would say that this villa has all you need if you are looking for a nice peaceful and relaxing holiday. It was amazing to have breakfast and dinner on the terrace with such beautiful views... it was a joy. We will miss the villa very much and hope that one day we can return and experience it all over again.
Lastly we would like to thank Steve (the property manager) who was very helpful on our arrival and gave us great tips about restaurants and places to visit and when we had a problem with the internet, he came immediately and was solved within a couple of hours. Legend!

Lovely Villa
We were a party of 10 adults and had a lovely, relaxing stay. The villa had everything that we needed, including a nice, large fridge and plenty of crockery, cutlery etc. The only comment that I feel I must make is that the tiles on and around the veranda are very slippery when wet - my son slipped down the steps and hurt his back.

Beautiful house and top place to relax
We were two families with total of six children ranging from nearly 3 years to 15 years of age, and we stayed for two weeks.
The location of the house is in quiet sorroundings, arriving after driving shortly on a bad dirt road.
The house was more beautiful than the pictures, and with all the equipment we needed. It was clean and spacious. There were some problems with the pipes from the sinks on two bathroms, but it did not degrade our stay. There were only two rooms with aircon. Because of the fans this was not a problem, and we experienced the heat not so intense in the house as we have done other places.
We did our day trading at the local mercadona 5 min. drive away in Coin. Good selection at nice prices. It also had restaurants for take away food.
Every second day we took a day trip somewhere, but the children loved to just play in the pool and garden. Because of the remote location there were not so much to focus on directly outside the house and this made us more relaxed in a way.
In total we were very satisfied with the house. But we experienced two troublesome factors. Wasps and orientation. At one point there were just to many wasps hovering over the lawn or joining us at the dinner table. The gardener made some interventions and they were gone fore some days but were on there way back when we left. I guess it will not be a problem in the future.
We had some serious problems finding the house initially. The house do not have an adress so the GPS (Tom Tom/Updated map Spain 2011) was to limited use. The solution is to call the caretaker, Steve, when you have picked up your rental car, and he will guide you.
But that said, we loved to be there, all of us!

Spectactular accommodation and scenery
Our recent visit to Casa Los Mosaicos will hopefully be the first of many. From the moment we arrived all of our party of 8 felt we had found a little bit of paradise amoungst the mountains.
The villa is extremely spacious (not that we spent much time inside) and the kitchen is well equiped almost like home from home.
Breakfast, lunch and drinks on the upper terrace looking out over the beautiful scenery is a thought to make you smile on a cold damp September day back in England.
Although we did venture out to Mijas and Puerto Banus we found the tranquility of Casa Los Mosaicos hard to compete with and were quite content to laze around the pool.( A couple of us did go out on the bikes though)
We were lucky enough to be there when the Harvest Moon was full in the sky and the sight was truely amazing.
As you can see we all had a fantasic week which just seemed to fly past and we would highly recomend a visit to this beautiful villa.

Los Mosaicos
When we booked we were not quite sure what we were going to get, but on arrival any misgivings were quickly dispelled. The villa is every bit as nice as the website shows. It was very clean well appointed and tastefully decorated. Although secluded and very quiet it is very close to all amenities . The restaurants in the area met all our needs .The venta at the end of the road being handy and La Finca and Santiagos very good. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recomend it to anybody looking for a peaceful and comfortable holiday.

Recent Visit
This was our second time at this most wonderful villa. The facilities are second to none and with the upgrade in air conditioning happening later his year, the villa really will have evrything.
The location is not easy to find first time round as it is located in a secluded mountainous area but I guess thats what makes it special. Alhaurin El Grande and Coin, the local towns, are typical Spanish but between our poor spanish and their attempts at English we were able to communicate comfortably. I would describe the local restaurants as both varied and reasonably priced, certainly much better value than the costal areas.
We recommended the villa to some friends and I was to delighted to hear that they agreed with our appraisal - first class, very clean, well kitted out, I suspect they will make a return visit.
On our most recent visit we managed to clock up 1500 kilometres, although only 15 - 20 miles from the airport we used the villa as our base to visit many great locations.
Gibraltra is about 1 hour from the villa and is a must to visit, the kids particularly enjoyed the monkeys. We learnt from previous experience and left the villa at 6.30am to ensure we missed the long ques to enter the island. Porta Banus and Marbella are also close to the villa, approx 1/2 hour drive along the wonderful new road through the mountains. We often travelled to Pt. Banus for lunch or dinner as they host the most fantastic sea food retaurants (not cheap though).
My family's favourite activity - lazing by the pool and chilling in the sun, hard to beat.

There were ten of us in our group, from ages seven to adult, and we all had a wonderful time. Both the owners and their local caretaker were very obliging.
The villa has been well equipped, and was spotlessly clean. It has plenty of space and facilities including a lovely deep pool, and is in a very peaceful rural location with fantastic views; yet at the same time it is only a short drive from the nearby towns' shops and bars. Certainly recommended.

We stayed at the villa for one week, there were 10 of us,ages ranging between 7 and 75. We had a car but basically spent the time at the villa.Coin was 5 mins in the car and had a very large supermarket and some lovely restaurants but we chose to barbecue every night. The villa was lovely and we each had our own space even though we were all there together. It was perfect for a large family or a couple of families.
Steve the caretaker was very helpful and met to our needs. The villa was set in a beautiful rural location and you didn,t have to leave it if you did want to, but if you did their were places to go within easy distance with a car.The villa was clean and spacious and we would definetly stay at the villa again.

Superb villa
Superb villa for our stay of two families with young and older children.
We were welcomed on our arrival and nothing had been overlooked.
We enjoyed some lovely BBQ's sitting out on the terrace and later with some good wine when the children had gone to bed.
Getting ready to go out on a few evenings for eleven people was great. With the five en suite bathrooms we had no queing!
The children loved the pool and we also had the satisfaction that the villa was completely surrounded by a high wall, making it a lot more relaxing for the adults!
A good time was had by all.
Thank you.
Jane, Simon, Sam, Pete and children.

This villa was fantastic for us as a family with 2 young children. The pool was great, warm enough even in March! The facilities were great as well, kitchen had everything that you can need and more, the large fridge freezer and dishwasher made entertaining easy.
Sitting on the large terrace overlooking the pool and bbq area with a glass of wine watching the sun set should not be missed.
The villa is larger than we expected with plenty of space for at least 10-12 adults, it was clean and well maintained. We have recommended it to all of our friends already and will be going back in 2009. The table tennis table and mountain bikes also meant that we could not just sit around. Good selection of shops and restaurants within a short drive. Thanks again great location, Mark, Dawn, Lucy & Tom
