Very nice little cottage, with excellent host. The beach is great, especially seeing all the surfers of every age. Great restaurants to choose from in La Jolla, and the idea of free parking on the streets is rare these days. Would certainly consider a repeat visit.

My wife and I just spent 10 days renting this cottage. The owner, Leigh, was very accurate in her description of this property which had all the necessities we needed, was very clean, and very well located. We ate all our dinners out because who wants to cook on vacation. There were many reasonably priced restaurants nearby with good food and ambience like Cafe Milano and Bernini’s - and just 5-10 minutes walking distance away. If you want to eat quickly, cheaply and love fish, El Piscador was excellent and nearby. Bistro du Marche, a more expensive eating place is a French restaurant and the closest one to the cottage and a nermere 4 minutes walking distance. We enjoyed breakfasts at Harry’s which was just around the corner. For a high end restaurant, we absolutely loved Eddie V’s and most highly recommend its food, level of service, and view of the coast. Notable things about the cottage were the tons of storage and hanging space in the bedroom. Also, the kitchen was well stocked and has a 5 burner stove and double door refrigerator/freezer with ice cube maker in the door. There were plenty of paper products. The tv worked well. The sofa was comfortable and so were the dining chairs. The bathroom was very well lit and clean. There was nothing luxurious about this place and there were no nice views to behold through any its windows but it readily met our expectations and offers value for the money. I highly recommend it.

We have just returned from a month long stay at Fay Cottage. The cottage was clean, spacious and very comfortable with all the amenities you need for a relaxing stay. Location is absolutely perfect - 5 minute walk to supermarket and a 15 minute stroll to the shops and restaurants yet at night it is so peaceful you are assured of a good nights sleep. The dedicated covered parking is also a huge bonus. Leigh is a lovely lady and host and we throughly enjoyed our stay.

we loved our stay here - absolutely wonderful location in la jolla, easily walkable to the water, beaches, great cafes/food, and parking was a huge plus!! place was very clean and our host was so responsive to any help we may have needed without being intrusive at all. excellent all around and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again next time.

The place is very nice. Comfortable size for 2 people, good amenities. Kitchen is sufficient. It was a sweet location, Walking distance to groceries, coffee, some decent restaurants and the waterfront. We hardly drove anywhere once we were settled in....and there is a nice little freindly dog on the premises.

Leigh was a very helpful and organized owner. The location was amazing. We could walk to the beach and numerous stores and restaurants. during my 4-week stay. I highly recommend it.

My husband and I spent 2 weeks in this charming, very well appointed and equipped cottage. Nothing missing here! Location was walkable to most La Jolla establishments, as well as the beach. Owner, Leigh, was on hand for any questions and very helpful . A little noise from children at nearby school playing outside, but not really a problem.

If you’re going to spend time inside while in La Jolla, this property is perfectly comfortable. Great bed, spacious bedroom, close to everything - cove, restaurants, etc. Aa a frequent visitor to La Jolla, I highly recommend.

My parents stayed in Leigh’s cottage while visiting me and my wife for Xmas. Everything was exactly as advertised - clean and quiet place that was perfect for what my parents needed. They had a few questions on using the heat in the unit and Leigh was very responsive. Overall a great experience for all - thanks to Leigh!

Great location within walking distance of great restaurants, grocery, night spots and beach. Very convenient and secure parking. Cottage is clean, comfortable and cozy with all things necessary for an extended stay.

Very convenient location within walking distance of grocery, shops and fantastic restaurants. Easy drive to any location in or near San Diego. Comfortable living room/kitchen, bedroom and bath. Nice patio area to enjoy your morning coffee and evening drinks. Very quiet and off-street covered parking is a big plus.

Incredible location in La Jolla Village. Quick walk to the beach and many great restaurants. Place is wonderful with modern kitchen and large bathroom. Leigh was great goat and fully stocked with everything you need to enjoy right away. Easy parking is also a benefit

The cottage was spacious and perfect for my husband and me. It had everything that we needed. We so enjoyed the patio. Leigh provided all the info we needed including local restaurant recommendations. The beach, grocery store, liquor store, pharmacy and some places to eat were all a quick walk away. We will definitely stay again.

The cottage is a perfect size for 2 and is located in a perfect spot. Walkable to many restaurants and the cove. Also close to the tourist downtown. Parking beside the cottage made it ideal as we did not have to hunt for a parking space. I’d definitely return so I hate writing a positive review.

We feel so lucky to have been able to stay in such a beautiful location. The cottage is perfect for 2 people. Leigh was so sweet and easy to deal with. The garden is beautiful and everything you need is within walking.. We hope to come back again.

Very nice accommodation. Bed very comfortable. Unit is spacious. Loved having our own parking space.....very convenient. The owner is very nice and accomodating...provided us with several items to use when we hosted some family members for a Christmas get together (tablecloths, folding table, some baking pans). Loved how convenient it was - we could walk everywhere.

We had such a nice stay in La Jolla. The cottage was clean, spacious, well kept and up to date, and so much natural lighting! It was so nice to have the outdoor space to relax as well. We will be back in the area again and will definitely stay here and recommend to family and friends as well!

After staying in a hotel for a week, this was a breath of fresh air. Spacious rooms, well furnished and only a short walk from shops, beach and restaurants. Very well equipped and private parking.

Great walkable location with groceries, drug store and good restaurants within 3-4 blocks. Renters should be aware that there is no live TV available and there is no dishwasher. Other than that, I would totally recommend this for a short stay.

Amazing from start to finish.

I was in town to visit a very dear friend of mine, and was looking for something with a bit more than just a room in someone's house. While I've done that in the past, it seems a bit awkward when you're in their kitchen getting a drink, and the entire host family is having dinner. I would also worry at night that when I came back from hanging out with my friends that I might wake someone. The Fay Cottage is perfect in ALL respects. It is a separate structure from the owner's home, so I didn't have the concerns that I wrote about in the first paragraph. It also has it's own parking space, a very well lit parking space, adjacent to cottage, with it's own entrance to the back yard. Beyond it being a separate structure, the interior was perfect. It was very roomy, with an enourmous, kitchen/dining/living area. The kitchen had a coffee maker, and was well apportioned. The appliances were very nice, better than I have at home! The bedroom and bath were also clean and roomy. The mattress was great. I usually have back issues sleeping on mattress other than mine at home. Not a problem here. Plus, there is lots of storage/closet space in the bedroom. More than I may have needed, but perfect is someone is looking at longer term stays. In front of the cottage there is a nice sitting area with a table and chairs. There are these privacy screens up and it gave a nice feeling of seclusion. I'd have my breakfast there every day. The location could not have been any better. The grocery store was only on the next block, so it was very easy to get supplies. Pearl street is half a block away, so if you wanted to get to other stores, a comedy club, or restaurants, it was super simple. I found myself going to this AMAZING taco place named, The Taco Stand. Fantastic tacos, highly recommended. There is also this great coffee shop, The Pannakin, where I would go every morning for coffee and pastries. Five minute walk to get there. The muffins were the best. One night, my friend and I walked to the beach and I was surprised how close it was, maybe 15 minutes to walk there and we were able to relax and listen to the waves crash. Of course, the owner, Leigh, was an amazing host. She was great about providing information about the local area, and wanted to make sure I enjoyed my stay. I would definitely stay there again.

This cottage was so cozy, perfect for a couple like us! It is remodeled and we could find everything we need. The location is very convenient as well. Everything is walking distance. The owner is vey responsive. She kindly helped us with all our requests. We'll definitely be back if in La Jolla again.

We had a great time at the Fay Cottage. The house was clean and the bed was incredibly comfortable to sleep in. It was centrally located to everywhere we wanted to be. We would highly recommend staying here for anyone interested in visiting La Jolla.
