About this house rental

Located in the village of Casalinho, next to the village of Avelar, Casa do Casalinho offers all amenities to those looking for a quiet place, in the middle of nature, for a stay with two, family or group. Comprising five double rooms (3 of them en-suite) it has the capacity to accommodate up to 10 people. It has a fully equipped kitchen with a seating area and fireplace; reading room; barbecue with wood oven and salamander; sauna (rate not included in the reservation); playroom; gym and covered outdoor pool. The bathrooms are equipped with electric towel rails and a hairdryer. Crib possible when needed. Surrounded by a large garden with lawns and a small oak and stone pine area, you can enjoy the outdoors using the various equipment available, such as tables, gas grill and sun loungers. With private parking inside the property. Pets are allowed. In the region you can go hiking, cycling - we have bicycles for free use, climbing, caving or visiting the various river beaches in the surroundings. The historical and religious heritage is also rich and diverse, being an area in which the vestiges of the passage of the Romans abound. 40 km from the city of Coimbra, 45 km from the city of Tomar, 30 km from Pombal, its location is ideal for those looking for tranquility, however, in the proximity of well-diversified tourist attractions such as several Schist Villages, the Serra Lousã and the river Zêzere or the beach of Figueira da Foz. Ok so, we’re a family who holiday a fair amount, We also happen to own our own rental properties, including one in Portugal, We’re relatively relaxed in our outlook to things and when staying in other rentals don’t tend to be too judgemental when it comes to the aesthetics, We’re more about the experiences you have whilst being there. That being said… We we’re not aware that on arrival, after what seemed to be a quick head count, that that most of the bedrooms were being locked, my assumption when booking the house was that we have booked the ‘Whole’ house?? When I inquired as to what they were being shut off and locked for - I was told that we needed to pay extra to have them unlocked! Huh? You may ask … why do they need the extra bedrooms? We’re only a family of 4 …. Why not? The whole house is the whole house right? It was more than that though, the bedrooms that were being locked had the best access to the outside patio and games area, the top bedroom has the best views over the countryside? Anyway… we paid to have the bottom opened and it took away from the experience of checking into a new place after a long days travelling. Things like the pool pump not working, door handles being lose, the shower pressure , broken bicycles and ridiculously expensive saunas took away from the experience a bit. Overall though…. , it’s definitely worth the say, we had a good time the kids loved exploring the garden and playing in the games room. Other than a few minor improvements, I think the hosts are on the right track, a 7 out of 10 from us. With a little TLC it’s a good 8 👍

Passamos um Natal muito feliz com toda a família nesta casa. A casa muito acolhadora com cozinha bem equipada, lareira excelente, boas camas e ótima limpeza. Recomendamos para grandes famílias ou grupos de amigos. Iremos voltar a reservar esta magnífica casa. Recebidos com muita atenção e simpatia. Obrigada.

Casa perfeita para o nosso caso. Tinha tudo o que está no anúncio, estava limpa e tinha tudo o que precisámos. Toda a casa era bastante espaçosa (quartos, cozinha, salão d jogos...) A piscina coberta e o grande churrasco interior deram jeito por causa do tempo. A zona era bastante isolada e sossegada, mas relativamente perto do centro de Avelar, que tinha um pequeno supermercado e padaria. No geral tudo impecável, não me importava de repetir.

Absolutamente perfeita

Propriedade fantástica para férias calmas em família. A casa tem todas as comodidades de que precisamos, o espaço exterior é muito bom e a piscina coberta permitiu a sua frequência mesmo nos dias menos solarengos. Todos os nossos contactos com a D. Rosario e a D. Regina foram pautados por inegável disponibilidade, profissionalismo e simpatia, extensíveis também ao Sr José. A zona envolvente é muito calma mas de fáceis acessos, Avelar fica a 1,5 km e tem tudo o que se poderia esperar de um comércio local desde supermercados, farmácias, centro de saúde, padarias talho, etc. Esperamos poder regressar no próximo ano para umas férias igualmente perfeitas.

Das Haus und das Grundstück machen einen gepflegten Eindruck. Die Wohnräume sind geschmackvoll und gut ausgestattet. Man findet alles was nötig ist. Die Schlafzimmer und Bäder sind groß und modern gehalten. Schöner und großer Swimmingpool, man ist durch die Verglasung gut vor Wind geschützt. Die Lage auf dem Land ist ruhig,man kann in der Umgebung viel Kultur und Natur genießen.

Imóvel numa excelente localização e fácil acesso. Casa com todas as comodidades em zona calma para descanso e contacto com a natureza. Possibilidade de visitar várias áreas de interesse turístico e comércio. De salientar a amabilidade da dona Rosario sempre muito profissional. Recomendo vivamente o imóvel pois passamos duas excelentes semanas.

Nous avons passé deux semaines formidables dans cette maison super bien équipée, décorée avec goût et d’une propreté parfaite. Rosario , la jeune femme qui nous a gentiment accueillie nous a mis très à l’aise en nous donnant des conseils d’excursions. La piscine et la salle de jeux sont des vrais plus. Nous recommandons à 100% cette maison.

Highly recommend 5*

The perfect base for seeing rural Portugal, Tomar and Ponto area. Everything you needed was available with an outbuilding filled with a sauna (extra charge for the electricity), a pool table and even a bread oven. Security is well thought through with an electric gate to subtle lighting around the perimeter of the house and fencing. We will return, it was a pleasure to stay in a most palatial house. WiFi is available in the downstairs area. There are lots of local shops and Intermarche/ Supermarkets in the area. We loved it! 10 out of 10!
