We had a great time staying here at Ed’s place! He was right there through text every time we needed! It was a very short walk to the beach and loved the privacy of the fire pit! It was very clean and a true testament when I have twins babies who are crawling everywhere! No dirty knees at all lol. We will plan to stay again in the future!

Ed was a gracious host, and we all enjoyed our time here. Thanks again!

This was the perfect place for a long weekend at the beach. The house had everything we needed including a great location. We look forward to future stays.

We enjoyed our stay in the carriage house. It was clean and well equipped with all the basics. We were in the area for the Burning Foot Festival, so we only spent mornings and evenings at the house. We never had to go to the store to get shampoo, soap, coffee, wood for a fire. It was all provided for us at the carriage house. It was within walking distance to the beach and had an awesome private fire pit and patio. Morning coffee time was spent watching the deer walk by (about 10 feet away). We would definitely go back.

Dune trails behind house were awesome, along with numerous deer sightings. Easy walk to Pere Marquette (0.5 miles). Bring disposable dishes if you don’t want to wash dishes by hand. Owner was great and proactive in communications. Definitely staying again!!

The property is very small but has a nice living area and all the basic equipment. There were no condiments, coffee, etc at all so bring everything with you or plan to hit the grocery store. There is a lot of glass in the sandy trails behind the house so watch your step! Overall, a nice place to stay.

This is our second stay at the Eagles Nest. It is the perfect place for a weekend stay for our family of 4.

This was a great location for our weekend at the lake. It was very easy walking to the lake. The apartment was in a quiet neighborhood. It was very easy to access and was very clean. It's a small place, but plenty of room for two people. We had a wonderful time.

This is the second time I have stayed here. The location is great near Pere Marquette park and beach (easy walk or bike ride), plus near Lakeside, and easy to get to other areas of West Michigan. Love the fire pit area with lots of chairs and a table. Very relaxing place

Plentiful greenery, quiet area, Lake Michigan, Muskegon Lake walking trail, USS Silversides submarine and museum, restaurants including the Lakehouse Waterfront and Grille, and the Lake Bulff Grille and attentive property manager/owner all contributed to a pleasant stay.

All the things you look for in a last minute getaway: a responsive and likable homeowner, a great property with quiet, and a ten minute walk to a beautiful beach. Perfect.

Cute Hillside Cottage
I enjoyed my stay at The Nest. The accommodations were comfortable and attractive. The property’s exterior was professionally landscaped with a mixture of flowers, grasses and other plants. There was a private patio bordered by a natural wood fence, mature trees and a dune. The interior was decorated in a cute style with a balanced use of color. The kitchen had pretty dinnerware and was well stocked with essential tools and cookware. Pere Marquette Beach was a short drive away. The beach area is expansive and provides ample room for enjoying the lovely skyscapes, sand, and Lake Michigan.

Muskegon dunes
Location and property was excellent. A few instructions were unclear and there was an issue with the heating on the first night but the property manager was very responsive, but it just wasn't as prepared for our stay as could have been (appropriate amount of bedding and double checking HVAC operations)

Perfect Little Vacation
The carriage house is perfect for a couple or small family. It was absolutely spotless and although small it had everything we needed! Even though you are in a neighborhood when you are outside by the fire pit it actually feels like you are the only ones around. The location is perfect. We spent the first day at MI Adventure and after short drive made it to the property for the rest of our stay. The beach is maybe a minutes drive away and that’s how we spent most of our time. The last day we took the 30 minute drive to Silver Lake Dunes. Highly recommend this property and we will certainly be back!

We had a good time and in a good area. We had lighting issues in the house for a day, we got a refund but thought it should have been more. Otherwise it was a good time had.

French Flair!
Nice rental that is located close enough to the city and recreational sites. Feels like you are in a tree house when you sit on the patio. Trails in the back of the house.

Family Vacation Unity Festival
We had a great stay at the Nest. What we liked most was the location and the privacy. You are a steps from Lake Muskegon and a 5 minute walk to Lake Michigan. Glorious sunrises and sunsets steps away from the door. Private location birds eye view of the street below and the natural dunes behind you. Enjoyed the wildlife deer at dusk and dawn, watched the wild turkeys strut along. Ed was communicative and attentive. We borrowed sand toys wake boards for a beach day. I recommend watching the sunrise at the end of the block over Lake Muskegon. It is the easiest way to view natures magical colorful beginning to a new day. The walk out to both red light houses is also not to be missed. I enjoyed the board walk 1.6 mile loop as well. Michigan Adventures is less then 10 miles away. We took advantage of a few games in the unit on a rainy night and made a couple of fires in the private fire pit, perfect for roasting marshmallows with the family. We picked a VRBO for the full kitchen. My husband loves to cook and grill out. The pantry items were a pleasant surprise (coffee, salt, pepper, cream, a few seasonings) plenty of dishes and pots and pans. Beautiful area to visit, not too touristy nary a gift shop to be found. Expansive not crowded soft sandy beach. Highly recommend.

Muskegon weekend
This place was perfect for what we needed! Close to our friends, close to the boat launch and has the best private fire pit and outside deck area! We thoroughly recommend this place and found the owner to be very accommodating of our needs. He also checked on us during the week to make sure things were good and to see if we had any problems. We had no problems but appreciated him checking in on us. 5 stars all the way around!

Perfect for a little family getaway
The Eagles Nest was just right for our short stay in Muskegon. It had everything we needed for a home away from home. The property is super close to Pere Marquette Park on Lake Michigan, as well as Lake Muskegon. The owner was so friendly and helpful with recommendations. He left out some beach toys for our toddler and made it super easy to take out a kayak. The WiFi is shared with the other onsite property, so the signal was a little weak for us. But we were so busy exploring the area and enjoying Muskegon that it wasn’t an issue at all. Would definitely recommend for small families or couples looking for a great “home base” while visiting Muskegon!

A great four day stay
We had a wonderful time at Eagle's Nest. The property is on a sand dune and our children loved running and exploring each morning. We saw deer, turkeys, a box turtle, toads and much more. We biked to the beach and also walked to the beach, both were easy and very close. We went to the Deck bar and restaurant twice. They did a great job with Covid precautions. Portions are huge and the kid meals come with a free frisbee. Great spot on the water. Went back to the beach for the sunset twice.
The cottage is well set up and has plenty of space for a family of four. The fire pit is also a great addition. Ed, allowed us to borrow sand toys, bikes and also had kayaks that we didn't have time to use. Great stay, we will be back.

Cozy, unique hideaway
We have stayed in the Bluffton neighborhood in Muskegon before. “The Nest” is a lovely, quiet, secluded coach house located on a dune. Loved our meals outdoors and the fire pit. The indoor space was well-appointed, comfortable and very clean. Ed was very nice and generous when it came to finding bikes for us! We would definitely return.

Perfect little cabin!
My husband and I and our two boys ages 7 and 5 LOVED this cabin! Very close to Lake Michigan. We rode our bikes a few times there but also drove a few times because it was easier to haul all of our toys. Being on the sand dune in the woods is amazing. We saw so many deer and turtles! Usually the lake is why we come to Michigan but the Cabin and woods were the highlight of our trip this time. The cabin is small but the space is well laid out and had everything we needed. The manager was really great to work with, and we would definitely stay here again!
