Kings Mills, Ohio was established in 1884 as a company town for the King Powder Company, and the Peters Cartridge Company which ceased operations in 1944. In 1970 the newly formed amusement park, Kings Island (named after Coney Island and Kings Mills) moved directly south of the area. Shortly after that, the College Football Hall of Fame was opened in Kings Mills but closed down and moved to South Bend, Indiana in 1995. Today this thriving little town in the cross-section of several northern Cincinnati suburbs.
Guests will need a car as Kings Mills is located in the heart of the northeast suburbs of Cincinnati. There is a bus that goes from this area to downtown Cincinnati with a pickup about a mile away next to the Ruby Tuesday just before I-71. Kings Island is a 25 - 30 minute walk (less than 5 minutes by car). The property has onsite parking for up to 5 spots available for guest use. If additional spots are needed please contact us so we can make arrangements.

Fantastic!! Vents covers need to be cleaned. This is no doubt from the nearby construction. The construction is on the street in front of the home. When that is completed, cleanliness and noise will not an issue!! We will book this property again!!

Great home for family get-together
We enjoyed our family time at this home. Plenty of room for large meals and hanging out. Nicely furnished with simple decorations - easy to quickly toddler proof. Lots of sleeping options. The kids especially liked the bunk room.

Pros:
- Spacious house with lots of beds if you need them
- Very responsive property manager
- Close to King's Island
Cons:
- House is on a very busy street and there is no front yard so the house sits right on the road. The traffic is speeding by 15' away from the front door so there is constant traffic noise and it's difficult to get out.
- The house was not clean. There were piles of hair/fur on one of the rugs, floors were dirty, and high-touch surfaces -- door frames, doors, door knobs, refrigerator were grungy. (I did notify the manager because I thought maybe the cleaning people had forgotten to come and she offered to have someone come clean. I declined her offer, which I did appreciate, because I felt uncomfortable with cleaning people in the house while we were there.)
- The house is in need of basic maintenance. The walls and baseboards are dirty and chipped. There are big cracks across the tile in one of the upstairs bathrooms, a drawer front is broken off in another bathroom.

This was a great property for a family (we were 8) or a group; space is well laid out, the kitchen we was well stocked and plenty of supplies. I had a few questions prior to our stay and they were EXCELLENT/ very fast at answering. While parking would be challenging for more than 2 vehicles, the location near King's Island and easy access was definitely a plus. If we were to go this way again with a group we would choose this property.

Great place for large family King's Island trip
Great location close to King's Island with quick responses from owner. Would stay again!

Great for families
Though our stay was not for a vacation (it was for a funeral) the house was almost perfect for our needs. The rooms were clean and neat, the beds were comfortable and management/owners were quick with responses to questions. The little ones loved the bunk beds and the chalk wall. And everyone thought the waffles were fantastic! Great place with plenty of room for all. The deck was a relaxing location to sit and talk in the evenings too. The only drawback was the house sits closer to the street than we thought so you’ll want to be vigilant of any young children and/or your dog while loading and unloading your car. The front porch had a gate for added protection which we always kept closed. Would rent there again!

Awesome experience!
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our 5 night stay in this beautiful home! There were 18 of us and plenty of room for everyone! The cousins loved the big bunk bed room while the adults enjoyed their own rooms. The waffle iron was a big hit! :) The kitchen table seated all of us so we could enjoy meals together. The owners were super responsive and very obliging... even left us a sweet welcome note and bottle of champagne! The location is terrific! It is minutes away from several churches, Kings Island, the Beach Waterpark, groceries, fast food, and Cincinnati. We highly recommend this home!!
