The property was perfect for our stay. Marilynn was wonderful and even helped with our dogs when we were out! The only negative is our stay wasn’t long enough!

We enjoyed our time in southwest harbor. Beautiful area! Nice to be away from all the hustle and bustle of the park. Would recommend the cottage for friends and family when they plan to come this way.

Quiet street location; easy to walk to both dining and shopping. Also easy to drive to other areas of interest. Hosts had lots of books and other literature about the area available to read; they were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend this cottage.

My family throughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage. There were no issues with the checkin/checkout process, and the description and pictures of the cottage were accurate. The cottage is within walking distance to downtown Southwest Harbor, and less than a half hour to the loop and Bar Harbor. The cottage was the perfect size for our family of four, and the owners did a nice job highlighting some places to eat/visit in the welcome book. I would not hesitate to stay there again!

Wonderful location walking distance to shops and restaurants, lobster and the water. Cute little town with friendly folks and great access to Acadia and Bar Harbor. The host/owners were very helpful and gave us some tips on where to go and what to do. The cottage is perfect for up to 4 people who can share 1 bath. Well appointed with everything we needed and the Washer dryer were an added bonus

This cottage was perfect for our family of 4. Wonderful location, within walking distance to the marina and many restaurants. Clean and safe area with so much to do near by. We enjoyed staying in southwest harbor which is very close to the park, butich less busy then Bar Harbor.
The hosts are helpful and have everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

We loved being in SW Harbor in this location...walkable to everything we wanted...Birds everywhere. Great recommendations from owner (who lives next door) on things to do and places to eat. This town is great because you are close to Acadia and Bar Harbor but it's way quieter and more peaceful for that Maine getaway. LOVED it and will stay here again on another visit!

The cottage was as advertised. Clean, functional, and well-stocked. Southwest Harbor is quiet, but very cute and walkable. Only 20-25 minutes to Acadia and Bar Harbor. Owners were very responsive to questions. Would recommend.

A short walk to the finish line of the MDI Marathon and to Beal's Lobster. A half hour to Bar Harbor. Mid-October means much of the Southwest Harbor town is shutting down though, so don't expect breakfast out options. Nice location for the marathon. Clean simple cottage with space heaters as primary heat source. We had mild weather so not an issue. We made breakfast in one morning and had all of the needed kitchen appliances, pans, top of table items. Plenty of linens and comfy, quiet bedrooms.

Southwest Harbor is quiet and pleasant, close to Acadia National Park. This cabin is not fancy but well maintained, clean, and comfortable. The kitchen has like-new appliances and all the necessary utensils. There is a large flat screen TV and reliable WI-FI. The beds are comfortable, and I enjoyed sitting outside on the small front deck. There is no air conditioning but the cool weather makes this unnecessary. Pleasant neighborhood location near the harbor and close to the center of town, I would definitely stay here again.

Decided to take a quick Acadia trip (our happy place) with my 19 & 22 year-old daughters before the younger one heads back to college. We love staying on the quieter side of the island, and since we needed to travel with our dogs, this cottage was the perfect find. Marilynn is incredibly responsive - she answered questions almost before I asked them, lol. The cottage was sparkling clean, the beds really comfortable, and the deck was a beautiful spot for some pre-dinner apps & drinks. Easy walk into town and helpful suggestions in the welcome binder. I only wish we could have stayed longer!

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It was the perfect spot for my family to explore Mount Desert Island from. Walking distance to breakfast spots and ice cream, 5 minute drive to Echo lake and hiking, and a 30 min drive to Bar Harbor and some of the popular spots in the national park. Marilynn and Gary were great hosts with great recommendations for my family which includes a 5 yr old and young dog.

We enjoyed our stay and we were happy to be in SW Harbor which was so close to Acadia and Bar Harbor but less congested. The owners were awesome. So nice and helpful regarding places to go with out two large dogs. We enjoyed biking and hiking in Acadia and walked around Bar Harbor one day exploring shops and eating lunch. The only suggestion I would have would be for small sectional couch to relax on after biking and hiking. In SW Harbor, Main Street has lots to offer. Great shops and eateries. We enjoyed dinners at upper deck, eats pita 2 and the Inn. All were delicious. Thank you Gary and Marilyn for all the information and allowing our dogs! We all had great time! The Davidsons

Comfortable, cost spot away from the chaos of Bar Harbor. Close enough to explore Acadia.
The beds were comfortable and the cottage well equipped so you can cook “at home”.
Of note, the picture listed is not of the cottage but the nice house and garden across the street.
The area was walkable and charming.

Marilynn was great with promptly responding and accommodating us.
So grateful that we were able to have our beloved dog with us. The dog treats upon our arrival was a nice surprise for her, which she very much enjoyed!

Nice cottage, clean. A bit smaller than what it appears online but it worked out fine. It was a good base to go hiking around the island from.

My adult daughter and I had a wonderful time at your charming cottage. Most of our scheduled excursions were based out of Bar Harbor and were about a 25 minute drive. The views were beautiful so the drive went quickly. Just wish we’d allowed more time to enjoy the front porch and easy going pace of the Southwest Harbor Community.

We’d happily stay there again!

Loved our stay in this sweet in-town cottage. Perfectly located a short stroll from town, easy access to everything but still quiet. The cottage is exactly as pictured and described, and immaculately kept—everything was fresh and clean upon arrival.
Marilynn and Gary are gracious, generous, attentive hosts. Really enjoyed every moment here. Thank you!

This is a lovely little cottage right in the heart of Southwest Harbor. It’s conveniently located -restaurants and shops all close by and it’s fun to just go out the door and find nice places to walk. Hiking areas are a short drive from here and other attractions, including Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor and Northeast Harbor are all within a 20-minute drive.
This cottage has a very nice front deck for those times when you might want to relax and read a book or plan your next outing during your stay.
Enjoy!

We loved this cottage’s proximity to all that Southwest Harbor and Acadia has to offer, and it had everything we needed for our working vacation. The hosts made our stay even better, offering recommendations and tips for what to see and do. They were incredibly responsive and we are glad to have found this property. Comfortable beds, clean linens, and pleasant front porch, just enough space for our family of 4.

Location!
Cute cottage in Southwest Harbor with great front deck for relaxing after hiking in Acadia. Approx 25 minutes from Bar Harbor and Hulls Cove visitor center in Acadia. However many trails, lake and sound access in and around Southwest harbor area. Walking distance to restaurants. Pet friendly is a plus as we travel with our dog. Many trails in Acadia allow dogs. Only issues were Wi-Fi was intermittent and kitchen was lacking some basics for cooking.

Nice little cottage on the quiet side of Acadia
Stayed here with family (spouse and two teens) for a few days while visiting Acadia area. Although Southwest Harbor is quite small compared to Bar Harbor, it was close to Acadia and had some nice restaurant options nearby. It is a nice area to make as a “home base” if you seek less “hustle and bustle”.
The cottage is quite small and would be best suited for just a couple (or a family with one or two younger kids). The owners live next door and we’re very friendly and willing to share local recommendations for restaurants, activities, etc.

Acadia week-end
This was a convenient location and a good value. We used the home as "base camp" and explored all day long.

Lovely cottage and gracious hosts
Great cottage in charming quite neighborhood. No issues with check in and check out and hosts gave many great recommendations. End of season and labor shortages so much of the Southwest Harbor business closed but regardless great experience. Some nice walks and hikes right from the cottage, and 20 min to main part of Acadia.
