The view was amazing. Loved watching the surfers every morning. Condo was clean and well maintained. Perfect amount of amenities.

Our family stayed here for a week with my in-laws and our teenage son. We really enjoyed our stay here at Kona Bali Kai. The condo was fully equipment with everything we needed. The views and ocean sounds were absolutely stunning and amazing. We loved waking up each morning enjoying a cup of coffee on the Lani and watching the surfers. The sunsets are breath taking right from the lani or private beach. We would stay here again! Clean and tidy.

Had a great time. Convenient location for the area. Traffic noise was loud at times.

The view off of the balcony is amazing and it was fun to watch the surfers. They had a competition while we were there and used a blow horn frequently.
This unit needs some attention, it is very used and dated. First of all this unit has NO air conditioning. I missed that somehow. The west sun pounds into the Master and bathroom (which has no window covering- it is a louvered window with 1/2 of them not able to adjust They have obscure covering, but it doesn't help with sun ). You need to have the windows open all the time, and the ocean breaking is quite loud (which we didn't mind). The bedrooms all had ceiling fans and box fans, which we used non-stop.
The master bath has a lot of corrosion on handles and faucet. The window framing in the shower/toilet room has had a lot of water damage, and it looks like they caulked it up and painted over it. The master sliding door is hard to close, and if you do it won't open again without practically lifing the whole door up. (My husband had to yank it open)
Kitchen sink is very stained and gross. They gave us soap, a new sponge, hand soap and dishwashing tabs and few garbage bags. There was plastic wrap, and little foil in drawers. There are NO left spices or items (like olive oil) from previous renters. Not even salt & pepper. Refrigerator does have ice maker that kept up pretty well. Unmarked key on counter is for the unheated pool - it's cold!
I would not stay in that unit again.

If this condo were any closer it would be in the water. Beautiful views of the surfers and magnificent sunsets. The condo had everything we needed for five adults and the management was fantastic. Got a call that the condo was ready for early check-in and got a call the next day just checking to see if everything was ok. Highly recommend this condo.

Loved listening to the waves as I slept. 10 minutes south of the middle of town, and easy to get to and from. BIG kitchen, so it was easy to cook for ourselves. Definitely a good location for a family!

Comfortable apartment that has all necessary amenities, needs some TLC for windows and doors to make them easy to open/close and for sound proofing. It's great to have such a nice view of the ocean, but the close proximity means the apartment is quite loud when the doors and windows are open. Communication with company was prompt and efficient, and we used the excursion service which saved a lot of time and hassle.

Loved the location. It was a fun place to watch people surf. For the price, we enjoyed it and would book it again. We just really wish they had some basic pantry items and an outdoor shower so we could rinse before we entered the unit.

Nice view , it’s a very comfortable place

Overall good stay. We never got a key to the pool and no one I called took care of it. Ad claimed the beach is private to the property, it's anything but. Still, the view was awesome and we enjoyed our stay

Property could have been a little cleaner & updated. Our unit was on 2nd floor at the end of building near beach access area. Very noisy early In morning with people going to beach, traffic on road & maintenance personnel working on building. Nothing can be done about road traffic, except maybe newer windows. Maintenance could wait till about 7am to start work. Was woken up at 5:30/6 in the mornings.

What a beautiful spot to be at literally near everything Kona! The condo had extras for us to use, snorkel gear and a boogie board! It was so great! Clean and right on the water! I guess it’s a local spot for surfing so it was amazing waking up and hearing the ocean and watching surfing pretty much all day! We loved every minute!

Close to the water, great breeze off the ocean. The condo is laid out well.

Overall fine. Can't beat the view or the location! Be prepared to purchase even the basic condiments if you plan on cooking. Nothing provided other than coffee filters, a couple days worth of dishwasher detergent, a roll of paper towels, and one roll of toilet paper per bathroom.

Nice waterfront condo. It was great to sleep with ocean waves in master bedroom. Other 2 bedrooms are looking at the Ali dr, so it might be noisy at night.
But you can’t really beat the location. Morning coffee and dinner time at lanai we’re the best!

The unit is perfectly situated and only 20 mins from the airport. Facing the shore with a small quiet beach, the waves were the background music! We had a small issue with the unit on the first day but David looked after it right away. The beds and linens were great and we had a great supply of bathroom towels as well as newer beach towels. The kitchen is large and well stocked and the lanai was the best! Many meals enjoyed from mornings to the glorious sunsets. We even spotted whales and turtles.

Property is in a great location. Ocean views from lanai complete with turtle sightings ,surfing and beautiful sunsets. Check-in was super easy and email support from team was well received.

This corner unit has one of the best views I have experienced. Unfortunately it does not seem the unit is taken care of. Little things like rusted towel racks that break and kitchen cabinets that do not close. Also Master closet slider for mirrored doors was completely rusted. When you look up cost for this it seems affordable to fix given what owner is making on rentals. Just little things are so important. Sorry I do not usually write reviews like this.

Our family of four loved the spacious, comfortable, well-appointed condo. And the best part is the incredible view. We loved every moment on the lanai … especially enjoying our breakfast out there. This condo is in a great location and we are truly glad we chose to stay here for our week in Kona.

The property is as waterfront as you can get! The views are amazing and you can sit out and watch the surfers all day. Nice beach right down from the condo. Tide pools to explore. Beautiful sunsets.
Check in was a breeze. A code was sent days before the trip so we had everything we needed to get right in. Welcome book was provided with all the information you need plus recommendations on beaches and a trolley schedule. The trolly stops right in front of the property so fun and easy way to explore Kona. The condo was clean and spacious with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Beach chair, umbrellas, buckets and snorkel gear were in the condo. We left behind a boogie board so hopefully others can enjoy it. The stay was relaxing and peaceful. Would definitely stay here again

Kona Dive Trip
We have stayed at the property before, this was first time in 201. We really liked it, plenty of space. Incredible view.
Very comfortable.
Close enough to town for a quick drive. Good parking and plenty of it. Mahalo!

Can’t beat the view
Perfect location! We loved sitting out on the balcony every morning and evening literally with the ocean right in front of us! And at night the sound of the waves was the best noise machine! Everything was very clean, and checking in and out was super easy. Instructions for everything were very clear and there was no hassle with anything. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay!

Great view but needs updating
We were very disappointed when we first arrived because it had been closed up for a long time so it was hot and smelled musty inside. The window in the master bathroom does not have a screen or vent fan so opening it was not an option! Another screen on one of the windows did not fit correctly. The master bathroom could really do with an update. The tiles in the shower were old and the grout was broken. Several places need to be painted. The view is gorgeous.

Really nice condo, location and neighbors
All was really good but condo management didn’t notified us that the lanai above ours was remodeled during our stay. For 3 days, the lanai was unusable, noise, dust and dirty water falling from above. We just got a “sorry for the inconvenience, we didn’t know this was happening “.

Just what we were looking for!
Easy to book, clean, well appointed kitchen, beach gear, close to the beach, with beautiful sunsets and relaxing times on the lanai! What more could we ask?!?!

A Beautiful Location
The property is situated right by the water where listening to the waves makes falling asleep instant. The property was very clean and well sticker on arrival. The check in process simple and smooth. The communication was great with the concierge prior to our arrival. Excellent property and a good price.

Cozy 3 bedroom with great location and views!
My two teenage daughters along with my wife and I absolutely loved the place! With three baths it was plenty big with an awesome kitchen! Breakfast on the lanai watching surfers, beautiful sunsets at night, and listening to the waves crashing to put you to sleep rounded out the day! Plenty to do on the Big Island if adventurous and have a vehicle. Kona is just a few minutes away, as are swimming/snorkeling beaches. The chairs/umbrella and cooler all came in handy, along with boogie board on our beach days. Would definitely come back!!!

Best sunsets ever!
The condo is spacious, the kitchen is big and well appointed. The beds are comfortable. And you can see the ocean right outside the lanai with a perfect view of the sunset. Watch surfers all day long 😊.

Oceanfront Kona Bai Kai 201
Great lanai with direct ocean front views of surfers and sunsets. Covered parking, good location with spacious bedrooms and large kitchen.

Amazing views!
This property has the most unbelievable view being right on the ocean! Just amazing. It was large enough that all 6 of us were very comfortable for our 10 night stay. The only problem we encountered was that the door locked didn't work when we arrived late at night. Fortunately the property management company answered our late night call and was able to correct the problem quickly. Would definitely stay here again!

Excellent View
We stayed here in 2012, at that time it appeared the Condo was upgraded with new furniture, bedding, etc.... Now that we have returned in 2021, things have degraded a bit. The veranda furniture has holes in the seat pads (tattered), the table is spotted with ocean oxidation (black spots), the interior molding in the bathrooms is disintegrating, the mattresses are in need or replacement, flooring to the veranda is wearing out, all in all the condo has a worn appearance.
Given the above, we love the low cost to stay in the Condo.

Beautiful sunsets and surfer action
Having stayed here previously, I knew the view would be spectacular for first time Big Island visitors. It did it disappoint. Great sunsets and lots of surfing action. We love being so close to the ocean. The corner room is next to the small local park which was quiet during our Tuesday-Thursday stay. The condo is spacious with extra large kitchen space and good appliances. However it really needs painting and some simple TLC Updates .
We find the location perfect for seeing the town or reaching near by beaches.

Fantastic view
Enjoyed watching surfers and beautiful sunsets.

Good property for a family
First to note, there is no AC. They are accurate in not listing it, but some people assume there is AC everywhere. We chose this place because we had 3 adult children with us and it had enough beds. The highs were in the 90's and with fans, we were comfortable at night. The the wave break in front is popular with the locals and it was fun to watch them surf. It was very clean and in a convenient location. Parking was never full, so being near the unit was easy. The concierge for activities was a bonus and the places he booked for us we enjoyed. Overall a very good experience.
