The Boathouse is a great place to stay if you are looking to explore the surrounding area both by car or boat. The property is clean and cute. We would definitely stay here again.

The Boathouse cabin is a quaint, authentic Maine Cabin with all modern amenities just as advertised (and more). The setting on Townswend Gut offers so much tranquility, beautiful views, and easy proximty to Boothbay Harbor. We sat on the dock for hours watching boats pass, gulls play, and at times absolute quiet. The kitchen is well equipped and all seating, grill, firepit, etc. were easy to use. Communication with property manager was fantastic. Its an easy 5 minute walk to Robinson Wharf where we ate lobster and had evening cocktails watching boats and enjoying the cool air. Our small dog joined us and loved the dock. We absolutely plan to return to the Boathouse in the future.

We had a wonderful time in this cute little cottage that overlooks the water. The setting is private, with the cottage nestled among the pine trees, making it private and quiet. The deck is a wonderful place to sit with coffee in the a.m. and watch the lobster boats head out. We spent a lot of time out there! The cottage is very cozy and furnished beautifully with a well appointed kitchen. We look forward to returning!

Place is great. Nice cabin. Great location— just down the street from Robinson, the best restaurant in town. Only thing missing was a kayak or canoe to use.

This sweet classic boathouse is even better than it looks. Location is spectacular, and the cottage is outfitted perfectly. Beds are very comfortable, kitchen is well-equipped, furniture inside and out is also very comfortable. The combination of old, classic features - the pine paneling, wood floors, original door latches inside and the new - bathroom fixtures and entire new kitchen, make this a delightful, comfortable place to stay.

Quiet getaway, definitely rustic…

Our stay was pure heaven. The cottage is cozy, comfortable and cute with beautiful views. It has old Maine charm with and updated kitchen and bath-perfect. The kitchen was well appointed with everything a cook would need. The gas outdoor fire pit and smores makings were a nice touch. The location was ideal, quiet and relaxing, yet 2.5 miles from the Boothbay Harbor bustle. We enjoyed relaxing on the deck and watching the many osprey fish and the tide go up and down for hours on end. Only negative was that the parking was challenging with our full-size SUV, but with a highly skilled parker, we managed. Loved it. We'll be back.

The photos don’t do justice to this cabin on the water. Inside or out the accommodations were better than expected. The only thing missing was a washer and dryer, but the rest was move-right-in perfect. I would definitely stay again. Love it.

Cozy cottage with enough room for four adults over the long weekend. My husband and I stayed on for the rest of the week. May have been too crowded for four an entire week. Kitchen had all we needed. Made good use of deck and dock where daughter and friend paddle-boarded. Good place for bird watchers: osprey visited a couple times. Easy trip to Booth Bay Harbor, Wiscasset, Freeport.

Check in process was confusing. Email sent stating must check in at office. Office not located at sent address because they had moved. When correct office located it was closed. Drove directly to cottage and door was open as stated in original email.
Cottage met our expectations and location was great for lots of activities. Enjoyed the beautiful view on back deck. WiFi was spotty and weak signal. Parking for more than one vehicle was problematic.

Very difficult to get to cabin-had to maneuver around trees. Great water view.
Seating not comfortable in living room. Very small bedrooms and bath. Kitchen well-equipped. Room for one to work.

It’s our second summer staying at the Classic Boathouse. Once again, it was an amazing experience. Couldn’t ask for a better spot or a more comfortable cottage. We recommend this place 100%.

The cottage was very nice and all features worked well, e.g. shower, oven , stove and gas grill. One comment is the full bed was not real comfortable. Also, the living room area needs more comfortable seats. That said the house , was well maintained and the views were great. We had lots of boat traffic , which we enjoy. We also had a bald eagle making an appearance several days. I would stay there again.
