This place is just lovely! Nestled in the pinewoods minutes from the ocean, it feels like you are in the middle of nowhere. The amenities are perfectly up to date and comfortable. There is plenty to do in the area, but the home also lends itself nicely to relaxation. Would definitely stay here again.
We’d lime to let future guests know that the roads are not really walkable for young kids, and the beach is definitely a short drive (not walk) away. Local restaurants seem to be fun, and the food was delicious.
We hit the bridge during construction which added some time getting on and off the island. Just be prepared for it.
Overall, a great stay! Would definitely recommend!

I stayed at this serene getaway for almost three weeks, and I thoroughly loved it. I truly felt as if I had all the comforts of home, but in an area I have grown to love increasingly with every visit.
I was hoping for a quiet place, but I was still surprised (pleasantly) at the sheer silence of the surroundings. Beautiful view of the water as well (though you can't walk to it). Nearby Hendrick's Head beach is lovely too, just a very short drive from the house. The living area on the top floor was very comfortable and set up almost perfectly for my needs. Nice large flat screen TV with easy access to HDMI ports and plugs. Open the windows for a refreshing cross-breeze. Ceiling fan as well.
The master bedroom was very nice. The king size bed is very comfortable. There are fans you can use too. Ample closet space and a very cozy, large bathroom are also lovely.
I didn't use the second floor space much, but it was nice as well. The kitchen (on the second floor) had everything I needed, even a lobster pot, which I used to successfully steam fresh lobsters.
In the garage, the new washer/dryer combo worked flawlessly.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, and honestly hated to leave the Romley House. I very much hope to come back here.

We enjoyed our June stay at your peaceful rental home. It was even more beautiful in person. Super comfortable king bed. Nearby to a variety of lovely restaurants and Boothbay. Thank you.

We were so grateful to find a case of water, a disposable roasting pan along with wine, paper plates and napkins as a welcome gift. They were extremely handy for our thanksgiving day dinner. This is our 2nd time here and we found it to be homey and thoughtful throughout the home, The bed is very comfortable. One of the things I like best is that the cupboards are not completely bare. There were some basic spices and other items that are so helpful to have when planning to cook.

This was a great place to stay with my family for a few days while enjoying the beautiful scenery of Maine. My 3 year old found the house and woods surrounding the area truly enchanting. What a great escape from the city for a while to create new memories.

Peaceful Stay
Quiet property, nice view of the bay upstairs. House had everything we needed. Slight hiccup with the code to get in the door when we first arrived but we were able to get the correct code and get in within 5 minutes. Close to Boothbay Harbor which had a lovely downtown to explore shops. Would definitely book again!

My husband and I loved this place! It was a real home that we felt great returning to after exploring the coast each day. The King bed was super comfy. We didn't use the second bedroom but it was also very nice and we thought about a future visit with friends. There are great books on the shelves and a closet full of games where we found a good backgammon board. The view from the upstairs of blue sea and breakers was lovely. Turnkey was quickly responsive and helpful when the wifi instructions in the house didn't work. Overall, a very nice place to stay.

Wonderful Home and Location
This home was just perfect in so many ways. Although very eclectic in décor, it all worked well and we enjoyed all the extra touches that the owners felt comfortable sharing. The setting is peaceful and quiet, the only things we heard were the rustle of leaves in the trees and birds. The home is spacious with a living area on both the second floor (where the fireplace is located) and the third floor (where the TV is located), a bedroom and bath on each floor, and a lovely view of the water from the third floor window. Outside are decks and natural landscaping which included a couple of bird feeders (fully loaded when we got there to the birds delight), a barbeque, and outdoor furniture. We spent quite a bit of time at the home and loved every minute- no complaints at all!

Great family getaway
We had a great time with our kids, loved the location, tucked away in the woods but still had the nice ocean view. Did a lot of activities in the area, it was a great experience and the home had everything we needed!

Paradise after Covid
Great location to explore mid-Maine coast. Wish we had more time to spend but we made the most of what we had. Very comfortable home with many necessities including toilet paper, paper towels , Kleenex, and a lovely bottle of wine.
Highly recommend the rental.

Reviewer Comments:
We were totally pleased with the rental property although it did not occur to us that many of the rentals were not air conditioned and the last two days of our visit hit record temperatures. We were fine however with good breezes in the house and the fans provided. We enjoyed daily trips into BoothBay for shopping, dining and taking in the beautiful surroundings. We also spent one day in Kennebunk. The views outside the huge picture window in the home were spectacular as well. The house was clean, well stocked with starter supplies and comfortably furnished. We did have some problem with the keyless entry upon our arrival which was handled very promptly by Chandler who was also helpful with getting the TV going and advising us on places to eat.

This home was amazing! It was so beautiful and well taken care of. It was a relaxing vacation for my husband and I. It was very cozy and romantic. The lock on the door didn't work properly and we had to call customer support multiple times. They were often rude and unhelpful, which put a damper on the vacation. I would recommend this property to friends, but I hope that the lock was fixed and that customer service was better.

Excellent Stay!
The property was beautiful and everyone involved was so helpful! Such a quiet neighborhood and peaceful setting. Only suggestion - make the door code shorter! And the wifi was not the greatest. But hey, we were trying to relax and not have to do much work anyway! Thanks for everything

Great stay!
This was a really great find at the last minute. It is an older house, but in a character sense, not as in run down. It has lots of personality, while feeling modern enough. From the deck on the main floor you can hear the waves most of the time, even though you aren't on the water. From the top floor you have an inspiring, if small, view of the ocean. Most of the time I could see sail boats on the water. The distance to Boothbay Harbor was just right. There is adequate privacy, as the trees hide you from the neighbors. I would gladly stay here again.

Beautiful place
Everything was comfortable. The main level heating system is a mystery. We found a thermostat in BR on main floor but we’re not sure what it did; building a fire was perfect and heated the whole house. Kitchen was really well appointed, beds were very comfy.
