Lovely homely house

Family of 4 stayed for a week.
This was home away from home and provided us with plenty of room and a base that was central to other family members.
We were met by Peter who showed us around and ensured we had a decent cup of tea and biscuits at the ready.
Walking distance to lovely cafes and supermarket. The Dart is a bit more of a walk but doable and it’s only one stop to Connelly St station.

The house was great for our family’s stay in the Dublin area. Peter met us earlier than our check in time which was so accommodating after our overnight flight. Peter was warm and welcoming, taking a couple of us for a quick tour of the neighborhood, pointing out the grocery store and other nearby sites.
The house was clean, comfortable and well-equipped. The neighborhood was beautiful and convenient for our various Dublin activities, including a family wedding. I would definitely stay here again!

We were given a very warm welcome and the property was very comfortable and convenient to the bay, local amenities, and buses/Dart to the city Centre.

A very comfortable, well equipped home in a lovely neighborhood. There is a grocery store nearby and bus stops are relatively close. We really enjoyed the patio with a view of the beautiful back yard.

Sunny, comfortable, on tree lined residential street. Short walk to pubs and shops. Plenty of private sleep spaces 3 up and 2 down, 3 full baths. In house laundry, sunny porch looking into the beautiful garden. Only cons: small baths and shower stalls, TV menu was in German and couldn’t be changed. Still able to do Netflix and YouTube eventually.

Very nice home in the high-end neighborhood of Clontarf. Everything was perfect, the kitchen was well equipped, the house was clean and very comfortable. Peter was a delight to chat with, and even drove me around a bit to show me the neighborhood. It's about a 20 minute bus into central Dublin.

Roomy and comfortable house in a great location. Excellent shops and restaurants nearby. The Clontarf Castle Hotel and the Clontarf Promenade are within easy walking distance. Great bus service into the city center.

My husband, myself and our two children stayed in this home away from home. It made our trip to Ireland more comfortable, especially when traveling with two young children. The house is light and airy. We spent a lot of time in the sunroof drinking our tea and coffee. Peter, the property manager, was extremely helpful in getting us settled and showing us around the Clontarf neighborhood which is a hidden gem tucked away from the bustling city center. We were able to walk to grocery stores and nearby sights as well as the DART train station. Taxis were readily available and very reasonable. If we come back to Ireland, we know where to stay! Thank you Frank and Catherina for making our stay enjoyable.

Excellent Property and Host
I traveled with my daughters and family. The property is beautiful, with comfortable accomodations for the whole family, it has all the comfort of home. It's within walking distance to public transportation, Supermarket, restaurants and pubs, the area is secure and family oriented. Peter met us and gave us the instructions for the property and tips for the surrounding area. We had an amazing time and it was great to have a nice place to come back and relax from all the sightseeing. We will be back!

We got caught in the midst of a global health crisis, the property was our one saving grace in all the mess. It was the perfect house and location for a bunch of Canadians to self isolate! Gay and Peter were lovely hosts. Would love to return someday under better circumstances.

Easy communication, perfect place for 5 people.

First off, the location is perfect for walks and public transit. Just 5 mins to small parks and the waterfront promenade; 20-30 mins to larger parks and Dublin city center (depending on where in city center, may be more like 45). Buses and taxis are convenient, great local shops, food, and grocery just a few blocks away.
Second, the property is an ideal rental. The house is huge by Dublin living standards, and while the decor might be a little quirky (“cottage shabby chic” comes to mind), it made us feel a bit more at home knowing that if a cup or plate had a mishap, we weren’t destroying a perfectly planned set. We had 4 adults and 2 toddlers, but with an occasional overnight guest from Dublin as well during our stay - it can easily accommodate 2-4 more depending on your bed needs. The house also has all of those perfect “oh I forgot that” items (umbrellas? Baby toys? Vacation reading? Ireland tour books?) and a very well-appointed kitchen for a rental, which came in handy for us!
Finally, the hosts were amazing - Peter and Gay greeted one of our relatives for the key handoff, Catherina was great with correspondence and questions, and when we did have a minor problem with an appliance, someone was there to fix it within a couple of hours.
One of my favorite things about the house is that it’s suited to any weather - helpful in unpredictable Dublin if you’re planning to spend at the house during your stay. The covered outdoor area was wonderful to keep us outside even through a sprinkle/mist/downpour in warmer weather, and the indoor sunroom warmly cheered us up when it was cold and blustery.
We’ll be coming back - highly recommended.

Dublin Clontarf Home
We were in this property for 20 days. It is very comfortable. Plenty of room for our family members. We had six at one time. Location is great. We were able to walk to the bus stop, train Station, grocery store, pharmacy and restaurants. Taxis were also very reasonable for going into Dublin City Center.

Dublin suburbs
Wonderful trip. House is very cozy. No issues at all. Gay and Peter met us at the house and gave us a thorough tour of the house and neighborhood. We used the mytaxi app to get around, like uber in the USA. Thank you again for a wonderful stay.

Great family house!
Our family of three kids, parents and grandparents had a wonderful stay. Property is within walking distance of shopping, restaurants, bus , etc. Home very well equipped. Quick responses to any questions. Would definitely use again and recommend to others. Dublin is great and it was wonderful to come home to the quiet of Clontarf right off the promenade on Dublin Bay!

Beautiful, comfortable, spacious, great location
We enjoyed everything about this property. We had all of the amenities needed to make this a wonderful vacation. The kitchen space is great and highly functional for a family of 5. The bedrooms were very comfortable. The outdoor space in the back was peaceful, beautiful, and tranquil. The property managers,Gay and Peter, were there for any needs or questions we had, and were extremely helpful. The owner was wonderful to work with. This property is very close to the city. It typically took us under 15 minutes to get wherever we needed to be. Extremely pleased with our stay at this beautiful home. I strongly recommend it for families who need more room to feel comfortable while on vacation.

Extremely well maintained and close to the city
Overall, my experience was exceptional. From the welcoming and informative hosts to the spacious dining and lounging areas found within the property itself, I truly felt like it was my "home away from home". Our party of 6 found it more than comfortable and accommodating. Additionally, thanks to several conveniently located bus stops near the house, travelling into Dublin was extremely easy and only took short amounts of time to do so. I would not hesitate to rent this property again when visiting Dublin in the future!

Frank and his family went out of their way to make our stay a great one. This is a very nice property, house and garden, run by responsible, caring people. The location is great for Dublin , Howth and the very cool village of Clontarf. near by ocean as well. WE would go there again in a second.

This home was a wonderful place for our family to stay while in Ireland
Located in a quiet neighborhood, our family of six enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. The house was clean and well equipped for travelers. The host and hostess were very friendly and helpful in welcoming us and showing us around the area. We especially enjoyed the back patio area that was private and beautiful. Each couple had a private bedroom with a comfortable bed. Each day we headed out to various sights.
It was easy getting a taxi to come to the house, plus we made use of the bus system as well. There are a few restaurants, a grocery store,, pharmacy, etc within walking distance, but Dublin's City Center, as well as many attractions, are about 3 miles away making public transportation necessary. We would recommend this rental home to others traveling to Ireland.

Lovely comfortable house. Great location
This house is comfortable and a great size. We had a very hospitable welcome from Gay and Peter. The location is excellent as it is situated in a lovely part of Clontarf with easy access to downtown or the coast. The bus service into town is frequent. Lot's of local shops and restaurants on the Coast Road and a five minute walk to Clontarf Castle Hotel where you can avail of fine dining or the lovely pub. The food there was excellent with great ambience. We lucked out with the finest Irish summer in a long time and were able to have breakfast on the lovely patio each morning and enjoy it late evening too. The rooms are large and comfortable and the kitchen and conservatory/family room are bright and kitchen well equipped. We would highly recommend this lovely home and hope to return in the future.

Great owner communication and perfect home for our family.
Our family attended a wedding at Clontarf Castle, only 300 meters away, and the home was perfect for our group of seven. The owner, Catherina, and her relatives, Peter and Gay, took good care of us with great communication. The home is well maintained and the 3 bathrooms came in very handy. Located in a quiet neighborhood only a few blocks from the bayside park and about 1 mile walk to Kilester train station.
The back porch and sun room were great for coffee, relaxing or reading.
Will stay again if in the area.

Amazing Girl's Getaway
We have stayed at this beautiful home before - which is why we chose it again. I cannot say enough good things about this gorgeous, spacious, well-equipped home away from home, in the perfect location. Catherina, Gay & Peter are so helpful, generous & easy to deal with - it makes travelling far from home such a breeze. THIS is what every VRBO should be. Thanks again .... we'll be back - Cheers !

Lovely Home in Clontarf, Dublin
This was a perfect home, in a beautiful neighborhood, close to the center of Dublin. We stayed in this house for three weeks and enjoyed all the comforts that anyone would need when traveling with friends. When we arrived Gay and Peter (relatives of the owner) greeted us and showed us around the house and the Clontarf area. This was so helpful because we could buy food, get rest and make plans for dinner later in the day. The house had a well equipped kitchen, a laundry room, and outdoor space that was beautiful. All the rooms were very comfortable but my favorite room was the living, dinning, kitchen area which was open with skylights that made the house very light and provided a view of the garden that had lots of green plants and was completely private. The bedrooms and bathrooms were very nice and comfortable.
We had a car for part of the time but mainly used public transportation that was very near the house. Also, we took advantage of the nearby grocery store and restaurants that were exceptional. We went several times to the Castle that was a few minutes walk from the house and had several excellent meals there.
We scheduled day trips from downtown Dublin and also used the train to go to Belfast and Galway for a day.
We were pleased with every aspect of our trip and the owners were very easy to work with and made our trip perfect by providing such a comfortable place for us to stay.

Awesome House in Dublin
The house was perfect. We had 8 people stay here comfortably. It was convenient for dining options and to get to downtown Dublin. We had a great time in Dublin and part of the reason for that was this exceptional house we stayed at. The hosts were easy to communicate with and the wonderful couple that greeted us at the house was incredibly friendly. It was a great welcome to Dublin. He even showed us around the neighbourhood so that we would get our bearings. We had a great time. I hope we can come back to Dublin one day in the near future.

Perfect Vacation Home in Ireland
Our family of 5 stayed at this property and can honestly say it was perfect for our needs. Everyone had their own room and privacy. We relaxed each night in the rooms off the kitchen and planned our next day's journey/adventure. As a mom, I truly appreciated the washer (brand new) and dryer conveniently located right off the kitchen. Having a washer and dryer was an important factor for us since I was determined we weren't checking any luggage on our flights.
The location of the house is ideal. We appreciated Gay and Peter showing us "the lay of the land" upon our arrival and for their recommendations for the local restaurants/bakeries/shops. We walked to Clontarf Castle for drinks and to print our boarding passes. We walked and also drove to Nolan's for groceries and were able to leave the car parked at the house and walk to dinner in Clontarf. Even though we had a rental car, we took the bus into Dublin our first day. The bus stop is conveniently located not far from the house if one didn't have a rental car.
The house was clean and had all the amenities one would expect. We truly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this property.
