Fantastic location

Great location. It’s right near water taxi stop. Views over their beautiful garden from our room (we couldn’t get a canal view upgrade as it wasn’t available). The views from the common room are fantastic. The staff member was super helpful letting us store our luggage. I’d stay here again. Room and building in keeping with the old charm of Venice. Recommend!

The air conditioning didn’t work (we stayed in May, so it wasn’t super hot yet). We had to open the windows, but that then attracted mosquitos and we got bites during the night. The sofa in the room needs to be replaced or at the very least have a cover on it. It’s dirty. The pillows need an upgrade

Good value for money, in a good location but the staff could be more helpful

Was at the center of Venice. Heat was always on, and lots of hot water. The room had unique Venetian-style design. Was next to S. Samuele waterbus station. Check in was easy and we didnt have to see anyone during our stay. It was contactless.

Mosquitos are a very common problem with Venice, and asking some locals we found out that everybody knows that. The first night we had a lot of mosquitos inside our room, even though we didn’t let the windows ever open. When we asked the owner to provide a solution they told us that they cannot provide. That for me is unprofessional! First night we couldn’t sleep because of the mosquitoes. Also, even though the room is very close to the center, is quite away from any bridges that cross the grand canal, so traveling made us do a lot of circles by foot.

Nothing it's literally a soulless farm without even a kettle

There is no one there it's empty creepy and feels like a lot of dead people

It was amazing

It had the authentic nice look being the furniture old and elegant. It had the nice view of grand canal even from the room and the bath both… Its much worth for the money, definitely. Checking in and out didn’t have any problems although it was online.

Exceeded all my high expertations.

Great location right on the water. Beautiful views from our room. Great value for money. Felt like a really traditional Venetian property.

Check in was a little confusing, as it is self service you literally have to wait until 3pm for main door to buzz open. Instructions of where property is located however were very on point.

Excelente Ubicación, los ventanales del balcon dan al Gran Canal con vistas preciosas, excelente limpieza, excelente atención al cliente, merece la pena precio-calidad. Volveremos!

Camera con vista

La camera d'atmosfera tipicamente veneziana... pulita e spaziosa, bagno confortevole e la vista canale molto suggestiva! Rapporto qualità -prezzo buono.

La parete della doccia rovinata e la non presenza in loco del personale ha reso il check-in un po' macchinoso e lento con qualche intoppo come benvenuto non è il massimo!

The views are worth every penny !

The view from the suite is just absolutely unbelievable and you would be hard pressed to find any better in Venice. The staff are extremely helpful and quick to respond to messages.

Had a superb time in Venice, but would not stay at Granda Sweet Suite again.

Great location. Pretty garden. Right by San Samuele boat stop. Beautiful building.

Spent ages trying to do the online check-in. Worse than for an airline. Steep stairs down to the bathroom with no handrail. No table, or desk. Only a plastic stool. Not welcoming as there is no personnel there at all, and notices saying DO NOT USE KITCHENETTE upon entering. NO coat hangers at all. Only four paper cups (for four nights stay) and NO glasses, not even a water glass. Only four coffee capsules (also for four nights, and two people) Bars on all windows, and no sign of how to get out in an emergency (eg fire)

The building was featured in the movie Haunting in Venice!

Great location, great views, the receptionist was kind enough to let us check in earlier so we can explore venice.

Maybe upgrade the linens and beds.

poor service and badly maintained room.

great location on the grand canal

poor service. lights and power points (all but one) not working in our room and ensuite. Lamp was given but only socket to plug in was for tv so that was also out- no charging phones as no other sockets working and had to use them for light to go to bathroom. Tried to get assistance but no one available. Attempts to contact during and after our stay have been ignored. Very disappointing.

Un ostello con gestione fantasma e prezzi folli

Assolutamente niente. Le fotografie sono ingannevoli le finestre affacciano sul canale si, ma in un punto di attracco e se non si tengono le tende chiuse la mattina ci si trova le barche attraccate con tanto di persone a bordo che guardano in stanza

E decadente,il bagno ha i muri rotti, il bidet otturato,L armadio cade a pezzi con tanto di cartello, le finestre erano sporche dal water escono odori di scarico la finestra non si può aprire completamente perché è bloccata e soprattutto il riscaldamento non funziona e L acqua esce poco e fredda

A shortage of cutlery and utensils in the catering area.

The prevention of access to the property after 2300 hours is a deterring aspect of the booking. We had to book a last minute hoter with shuttle service at the CAirport because of a flight delay which caused us to arrive at 2430 hours.

Si queres vista al gran canal, es por aca!

Excelente ubicación ya que tenia un muelle al lado del edificio donde paran vaporeto. Para tomarnos el Alilaguna (para ir al aeropuerto) solo se camina 5/6 minutos. La habitacion fue tal cual pedimos con vista al gran canal!! Muy comoda.

Hay detalles en el baño que podrian ser mejorados, estan un poco viejos.

Qwerky adventure in Venice

Great view of the grand canal, good location next to water bus . Entrance to property was a little complicated but if you follow all instructions that get sent on day of arrival it’s fine!

The property is great, it would be helpful to have face to face contact with staff

One member of staff who couldn't help us/know the code for the room or even which room we were in. The shower door was broken and the room didn't look particularly clean. Not worth over 100 per night. Had stayed somewhere the previous night for the same price and it was a million times better.

Overall it was okay experience for us. We have seen different properties more modern looking but it was already too late

Location & direct canal view. Water taxi stops right in front of this property except evening time. At night they have different routes where it doesn’t stop in front of this hotel anymore.

It’s dated, not so clean. Self check in process is complicated. Payment process & city tax payment system is also not convenient. I had one person dropped out of the trip last minute but we still had to pay city tax for this person because there is no options to edit payment or a real person to coordinate.

Good but no one at reception after 9 pm in case of emergency

It was clean, nice location, good ambience, staff allowed us some extra time in the morning to checkout and didn't bother us.

We did not get the code for the room that we expected to unlock the door. We left the key inside the room thinking that we could open it with door code as well but there was no code sent to us. And there was no one at the reception after 9pm to help us

Location is great since is located just next to the vaporeto stop.

Everything is handled remote no personnel on site so if you get a problem and you are from another country like me you will have to spent money on phone calls because you can’t call them using WhatsApp.

The location is amazing and the view from the lobby

The room turned out to be incredibly small, it is very inconvenient to mix in it. the curtains were stained with coffee, and someone's celicon nipple pads were lying under the chair. The mirrored cabinet door is all broken and this is not a design.

Very nice room and location!

We were provided with transportation information and all necessary details to enter the room contact free. Very nice layout and location. We took great pictures in shared living room. All good, but the room is small - make sure you understand that before booking. We got what we expected, so all good.

Incredible canal view!

Amazing view! We had the Junior Suite room and it had a large window opening up to the grand canal (photo attached); we could've sat there all day watching the boats go by. Not all rooms have a canal view, but there is a rather large common area with multiple windows opening up to the canal that our group used as well. The room itself was spacious and had everything you'd need (espresso maker and pods, hair dryer, toiletries, etc). The location was also extremely well situated for walking around to see the main sights. We were only there for one night and easily made it around to everything we wanted to see with time to spare. There is also a water bus stop directly outside the building which made getting into town very simple.

Check-in was a bit strange. In the days leading up to our stay we were sent a link with instructions to complete check-in online where we input passport info and paid the city tax. The directions stated that after completing online check-in we would be sent a code to use to access the building, but none of us (3 couples with 3 separate rooms) ever ended up receiving a code. Luckily there was someone there when we got there so we were able to ring the bell and be let in, but it was not without a total headache of trying to track down a code with minimal cell service/wifi connection for about an hour before even trying the bell. Long story short, next time we'll just ring the bell first!

It‘s a good price/quality solution

Good location; Comfy bed; Spacious shower cabin.

Excessively complicated and restrictive check-in procedure; The room can have more natural light though it‘s not easy to achieve in Venice. A wardrobe door needs repair.

Right on the grand canal, our room overlooks a beautiful garden. If you are looking for a clean well placed room to sleep in and get showered this is an ideal place. That’s pretty much all you get, buts it’s all we wanted.

We booked very late - at the airport so a code didn’t come through, but we buzzed and got in.
