About this apartment rental
This condo is located at Plantation Village in a great location on Seven Mile Beach.
December 2023 1Update – Due to recent weather and storms in Cayman, the beach at Plantation Village has been narrowed. To accommodate, extra chairs have been added to the two pools areas. Snorkling is still a great activity to do in this location. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have, and hope that the beach continues to return.
Everything you need is within easy walking distance.
The condo gives you an opportunity to feel like you are home, while enjoying all the fun of being on vacation. By choosing our condo, you will have three bedrooms, two bathrooms, laundry facilities, and a full kitchen!
Unique to our condo - three bedroom condo with three king beds.
The Master has a king size bed and an ensuite bathroom with a tub/shower combination. The second bedroom has a king size bed with patio doors allowing for an amazing view. The third bedroom has a King Bed and then another twin bed (room sleeps 3).
The Resort boasts two pools - one large pool with a sea view and an even larger pool with beautiful features. There is also a lighted tennis court, plenty of green space and Plantation Village is the only complex on Seven Mile to boast a playground. Plantation Village also has kayaks and bicycles for your use - both free of charge! There are also 2 grilling areas for use on the grounds with large Weber gas grills.
Many details have been taken into consideration to help you to feel at home. The kitchen is fully stocked with all of the basics as well as some nice extras such as a coffee maker, set of wine glasses, serving dishes and knife block to name just a few. There is high quality bedding and towels to ensure you are comfortable in all aspects. We also want you and your valuables to feel secure so you will find a safe in the condo.
We are completely prepared for your little ones - crib, highchair and tennis racquets to keep them busy. The main bathroom has a tub and shower, which is often helpful for families travelling with kids.
This condo is in a great location! You can snorkel directly in front of the complex and access all other watersports (jet-skiing, parasailing, banana boat, kayaking, etc.) by taking a short walk to Marriott hotel.
A visit to Cayman isn't complete without a visit to Stingray City. Tour operators will pick you up at the condo to take you to Stingray City or Scuba Diving. Also, within walking distance is Cayman's newest development, Camana Bay, where you will find the cinema, shops, restaurants, and a nice treat of ice cream or frozen yogurt. Our condo is also on the bus route for easy access to downtown George Town or Hell and the Turtle Farm in West Bay. The closest supermarket is about a 15 minute walk or 3 minutes on the bus. Walk one way and bus home.
Please note, we usually require Saturday to Saturday rentals for this condo. However, can be flexible depending on dates. Please check with us if you have any questions about your dates.
We hope that you will fall in love with our condo and Cayman as we have!

Great location, spacious condo, comfortable beds, and wonderful views of the pool and ocean. Plenty of amenities, easy access to restaurants, and delightful sunsets.

We stayed at the condo with 3 couples and a kid and had plenty of space.
Loved the beds
Pool was perfect
Great location
Unfortunately there’s no real beach (maybe 15 feet of sand then tons of rocks) but you can’t beat the price!!
I would recommend they add hooks or somewhere to hang towels and wet items inside.

Nice property. Great location. Good communication with the owner. We had a great week

The owners did a great job on logistics - best overview book of any previous stay. Tons of restaurants close by- week was fantastic. The only reason I gave a 4 to location is that this portion of 7 mile beach is gone
To erosion so you have to either walk or drive about a mile to the closest sandy beach.

The unit was better than described! Wonderful view. Had everything we needed. Would definitely return.

We enjoyed our stay and the unit was exactly as described! My only suggestion would be to open the gate to the wanter. We watched numerous people try to open it and had to climb over it.

The condo was exactly as described and fully stocked with everything we needed. Great location—walking distance to many restaurants and a short drive to everything else. So great to have 3 king beds for 3 couples!

Location was close to many restaurants and we loved the view of the pool and ocean. However, the condo was very worn...broken and chipped tiles, broken blinds, old furniture. The new patio furniture that was in the photo was not present. The VRBO photos were quite misleading. Instead we had uncomfortable teak furniture/table with no cushions. The kitchen was very small, only room for one person at a time. The patio screens and floors were not very clean on arrival. There was no beach, just rocky outcroppings, so we had to scale a wall to get to an area where we could walk to a lagoon where we could hang out and swim. We did appreciate modern towels in good supply and comfortable beds and bedding. Overall, the condo seemed dated and inadequately maintained, but location was good for our family's needs.

Our Cayman trip was an absolute blast. The complex pretty much in the center of everything. 20 min drive to west bay and 1 hr drive to rum point. Short drive to Gerogetown and we even took the birds from our complex to Georgetown and back. Our view of the ocean was great from the patio, the little beach was easy to get to and pool was nice and relaxing. A couple of things that I wasn't fond of was the communication between myself and the host. I would reach out in advance and wouldn't hear from her and would send multiple messages. I had asked for early check in a week in adnvance, we had arrived to the complex, and still hadn't heard anything from the host. My in laws were also staying at the complex so we were able to put our bags there, and we asked the front desk if they had heard anything about our room being ready. About 20 min after the desk contacted the host I received an email stating we could go in and a note once we got in the room to not go through the front desk. I wish the communication was a bit better. As for the place the place matched the pictures, but the cleanliness in the kitchen was a bit disappointing, we had grabbed the cutting board but the cutting board had bugs on it and the coffee maker once we had let the water go throguh it once had a bunch of gunk come out of it so coffee maker was not used. Our sink in our master bathroom kept clogging and had to hold the stopper up every single time. Our trip was great but communication could have been better

Nice condo w poolside/ ocean view. Middle of seven mile beach so most things to do are walking distance. Quiet condo resort. Kids had a ball snorkeling off the resort and dive shops are very close as well. Looking forward to returning

A wonderful, very hot, memory-filled vacation with family. The condo was nice and true to pictures. The kitchen was quite a bit smaller than expected but everything was well-stocked. We did have an issue with TV's not connecting to cable channels but spoke with Christy who is having issue resolved. We spent minimal time watching Netflix so it wasn't a big deal. The location made it easy to get to several snorkeling and tour locations. The beach at The resort is minimal but some good snorkeling right off shore. Overall we had a great time and were pleased with our stay. Thanks Christy for working with us throughout the process!

Condo was a great location to restaurants, grocery stores and shops. Rooms were great and my family enjoyed hanging out in the living room in the evenings! The screened in porch had a great view of the pool and ocean! Great find for our family of six!

Our family of seven had a wonderful vacation in Cayman at Plantation Village. The location on 7-Mile beach was very convenient. There’s a Foster’s 5 minutes north and Kirk’s is 3 mins south for groceries. Across the street is Coconut Joe’s—it’s the best little restaurant for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The Plantation property is well maintained and easy to navigate. There's a beautiful view of the sunset every night. If you have any questions at all about the property or the island, the manager in the office is very helpful and can answer any of your questions. The unit itself was very nice and our view of the pool and ocean was just gorgeous. There was pool and snorkel gear to borrow in a container on the porch (we discovered this mid-week). The unit managers were very responsive any time we had a question or need. We all loved our beds and there were plenty of both bath and pool towels for our needs. We met some nice families who have owned time shares at PV for 30 years! Our only disappointment with the property is there is no beach to walk. We were able to swim and snorkel off the small beach, but it's very rocky, so you can't stand at all. But we knew that going in and still had a great time! We rented a car (which I'd definitely recommend) and drove to a nearby public beach when we wanted a good beach day. Overall, we would definitely recommend this unit! Our family had a wonderful time there and would definitely go back.

Great condo with a sunset every night. The balcony faces the ocean and smaller pool. You get shade from the setting sun in the afternoon on one half of the balcony or move to the other half and see the sunset every night. Condo was clean and everything worked. Host was responsive when I had questions. Great location on 7 mile beach, 5-10 minute walk in either direction to restaurants. You can call a taxi yourself or the front desk will do it for you. Hopping on busses from the location is easy as well (and cheap). There is not a ton of beach in front of the condo but it was plenty for our 11 and 13 year old since we snorkeled. People also do not claim chairs all day so finding a spot by the pool or in the chairs in the sand at the beach is easy There is a beach with a ton of sand and a rock walled off water area about 3 minutes away by foot. Check the box on the balcony for tons of water gear to use. Paddle boards and kayaks are also available by the beach entrance for free! Cannot wait to come back.

We have been traveling to warmer places in the winter for 25 years. Grand Cayman Island would be very high on our list!
Great location for our stay! Lots of good places to eat and drink. Coconut Joes was really close. Probably our favorite. We would also recommend Lloyds Smoke house.
Definitely will be back.

Nice condo right by the water! We spent a lot of time on the screened porch listening to the waves. Kitchen was a little small but not a big deal. Very nice having 3 kind beds which most condos don't have. Even with the beach erosion here, there was still a small beach at plantation village. Great for little kids to play and for snorkeling. Owners were very responsive and friendly. Would definitely stay again!

This was our first time in the Cayman Islands. The properly was perfect for us. We used the pool, BBQ grills, snorkled right off the condo. The condo was spacious and very clean. There was always a parking place. People at the condo were friendly. The only downside of the Cayman Island was the price of resturants and booze ($100 for 1.75 of Jack Daniels.. yikes). Chirsty did warn us about these prices, so i wasn't a surprise until we were standing at the cash register lol.... Either way.. highly recommend the condo. If we go back.. we would stay here again! Thanks

We enjoyed being at Plantation Village during the 2nd week of January 2023 and blessed with incredible weather the entire stay. Our condo unit was clean, comfortable and had easy access to the beach and pool. And, had all of the necessary toys.....bikes (great quality), paddle boards and kayaks! All with easy accces. The host and complex office manager were accessible and alway available to answer questions and provide guidance.
The only thing that could be more transparent is the access to the water and beach. Essentially, there is no beach and especially @ high tide. And, getting in the water can be somewhat risky as it is very rocky and unstable. I think the situation needs to be fixed or the messaging on the website needs to indicate the opportunity for relaxing near the water is on the pool deck.
All in all a great experience and would highly recommend if having a beach and accessibility to the ocean is not a high priority. Auburn Bell

We loved your property - our whole family (8 of us) enjoyed hanging out on the wonderful porch with such an amazing view! Location could not be any better - 7 Mile Beach, close to shops and restaurants and walking distance to almost everything including George Town. Of course our kids loved access to the BIRDS (motorized scooters) which were everywhere - It was great fun!

RUN DOWN WE HAVE STAYED AT PLANTATION VILLAGE 5 TIMES IN THE PAST AND ALL HAVE BEEN OK THIS UNIT NEEDS A LOT OF WORK. DOES THE OWNERS KNOW HOW RUN DOWN IT IS?

We loved this condo! The check-in process was seamless and the condo was spotless on arrival. We were 3 couples each with a king bed. Plenty of room.
Yes, the beach is eroded and a bit rocky, but you can walk to the left and find some nice spots. You still have the pool with a beautiful view. Enjoy the sunsets!
We would definitely come back!

This was just as pictured. You can not beat the view for this price. The screen in porch overlooking the ocean was great (although needs some screen repair to prevent bugs). We enjoyed our week at this condo. We had very few minor problems with the owner was very responsive and quick to fix everything to ensure our stay was perfect. Thank you for that! They king beds in every room was great, for adults traveling together and can be hard to find. The beds were comfortable (Master was too soft for me - but that is my pickiness). Kitchen was equipped with everything you will need to make breakfast/lunch or dinner in. We rented a car, so we were able to get around easily. Peppers for dinner (in walking distance) was excellent. The lack of any beach area will be our only deterrent for not returning. There was a small patch of sand, however, it was very rocky when attempting to enter the water. This is no fault of the condo, its just mother nature - but we wanted a beach area for sure. We met some wonderful people that stay at this complex each year so they gave us great advice. Stingray city is a must! Once in a lifetime experience. We did a boat trip with this, snorkeling and starfish beach included! Book early! Thank you for the stay at your beautiful condo!

We were time share owners here for many years so we were familiar with the property. Everything is very well kept, safe and convenient. We liked having 4-5 restaurants that we could walk to and also took the public bus to Kirk Supermarket door to door. Sad that the beach is eroded , but we could still walk up the beach and we could snorkel off shore.

Perfect location for exploring the island
Very much enjoyed our stay at this condo on SMB. Much appreciated the easy check-in and great communication with Christy. While there was no beach it is still possible to snorkel right outside the property (I recommend water shoes) and my family enjoyed the use of the paddle boards (if you find a mask in the water that’s ours lol). There is also beach access nearby to either side of property. People very friendly at the complex. Highly recommend The Wharf (great food but expensive) and The Turtle Centre. Also recommend Kirk’s not Fosters for groceries based on price.

No beach and very stinky moss everywhere!
The condo was ok in that it had everything we needed. It was kind of run down with obvious water damage. We were unable to use our shower one day because it was leaking into the condo below us. The kitchen sink leaked down into the cabinet and then onto the floor every time we used it. We had a beautiful oceanfront patio that we never used due to the horrible stinky moss smell. We also were not able to use the pool right by the ocean for the same reason. Lucky for us our kids did enjoy the other (bigger) pool further back from the ocean. Thankfully is wasn’t too far to walk to a nice beach. We were extremely disappointed though as we were planning on a beach front condo hoping to snorkel, kayak & paddle board. We were not able to do ANY of that. The beach pictures are not at all what it is. Very deceiving! The location is close to camana bay & lots of restaurants.

Wonderful family vacation!
We came for a week with our four children and my mother. The condo was perfect! The balcony overlooks the pool and the ocean. The beds were cozy and clean. There were plenty of towels. The kitchen was fully stocked. We had a wonderful time!

Great walking distance to restaurants, bars and local eateries as well as tourist spots. Walking distance to the beach made it so convenient. Nicely decorated condo with perfect view of the pool and beach. Beautiful sunsets from the balcony!

Great place and location for the price
We stayed at Plantation Village during our stay in the Cayman Islands Jun 14 -21, 2019. The condo is just as pictured. View is perfect. Pools were great to swim in the evening with the kids. The beach area in front of the condo is very small and rocky. Limited beach space and limited number of chairs but not many people using it. This place was great for the price. You could easily walk to nice beach/bar/restaurant area on the other side of the Marriott. This is where we spent most of our beach time then went back to the Plantation Village pool in the evenings. Pool was not crowded and hardly used by others while we were staying there. I would recommend this place as long as you know there is limited beach space in front of the condo but easy access to a larger stretch of beach is not far.

Very nice condo
We had 4 adults and 2 children in this condo and it worked out very nicely. The place was comfortable and well equipped. We enjoyed the location and the views from the unit. The only complaint we had was that the beach for the property had washed away.nwe had to walk down further in order to go swimming. We heard from several other people that it is the worst it has ever been. Aside from that we had a lovely time and would stay at this condo again.

A wonderful week !
Our stay this past week was wonderful ! The condo was exactly what we expected. It was clean and there was plenty of room for us to all sleep. It was so helpful having some of the basic things provided for us like dish soap, salt/pepper ect. The porch was so nice to sit out on each night. The only disappointment in the entire trip was the lack of beach in front of the condo, but that happens occasionally when sand washes out . Just a short walk to the right and you encounter sand. Overall we had a wonderful time and wish we could have stayed longer!

Great condo but amenities could use updating
The condo was very well maintained, in an exceptional location and the owner was very informative but our only complaint would be that the bikes and paddle boards provided by the association were falling apart. All in all a wonderful place to stay with an unprecedented view!!!

Great property, but very slow response on a necessary repair
I am a many year timeshare owner at Plantation Village, so of course, we love it here! For this trip, I rented this additional condo to accommodate family who was joining us.
I'll start with the negative:
-Upon arrival, we noted that the water pressure from the kitchen faucet was extremely low - really just a trickle of water + the water never got hot. Fortunately, the dishwasher worked, so it definitely got used - a lot. The property owner was contacted the next morning (Sunday) about this kitchen faucet issue, but it took until Tuesday afternoon to get someone in to fix it. Yes, we had a non-working kitchen faucet for almost 3 days of our 7 day stay. We did not find this acceptable at all. And despite following up with the owner about my disappointment in the handling of this repair, I have never received a response.
-Some might find it important to know that this condo is rented independent of the condo property office. That means that the on-site staff at Plantation Village does not provide maintenance and repair services. The resolution to the above situation may have been quite different if on-site staff was used to manage this property.
-The phone in the condo is a cell phone, which we never figured out how to use; however, the Wifi is good, and we used Skype for our calls. So for us, the cell phone was a non-issue.
And I'll finish with the positive:
-This is a beautiful condo, with an expansive ocean view from the screened porched. The pictures definitely represent the condo, and the welcome bottle of wine is a lovely touch. There is an abundant supply of towels, including beach towels, the beds were comfortable, and all the furnishings are on the newer side. The kitchen is quite small, but adequately supplied, so it worked for us. We had an infant with us, so the pack and play and the high chair came in handy.
-As others have noted, there has been some recent beach erosion, but this didn't hamper our enjoyment. If history repeats itself, the beach will return once again.
-Our stay would have rated 5 stars, but the delayed repair on the kitchen faucet brought it down to 3 stars.

Great condo, views and pools, but unfortunately no beach this week :-(
This condo was true to the description and easily accommodated our group of 5. Gorgeous views from the screened in porch, wonderful pools, well maintained grounds, easy to walk to lots of great restaurants, grocery store (Kirks) and liquor store. We usually rent a car but didn't this time and only took a taxi once other than to/from airport (Cracked Conch--yum!) --we didn't need a car. Captain Marvin's even picked us up/dropped us off for the Stingray City tour. The only disappointment is it has a narrow beach, and as luck would have it, it was almost entirely wiped out the week we were there. There were maybe 10 chairs crammed together at the bottom of the stairs, that was it. Folks who have been there for years say that happens sometimes, and then it comes back just as quickly. Better luck next time! The complimentary kayaks and bikes were a real plus.
