This is the fourth time I have stayed here and it never disappoints. Linda, the property manager was proactive in her communication.
This location is a show piece and you will quickly notice that people walking by on their way to the beach, will always be curious as you sit in the front courtyard with the fire pit warming you.

This is a lovely little condo, exactly as advertised. My husband called it a “Four Seasonette” because they are so well appointed. Spent 10 days, walking to the beach every morn, to shops or coffee every afternoon, and a glass of wine by the fire pit every evening. Property mgr Linda is responsive and delightful. Couldn’t ask for more.

Nice property with easy access to all that Carpinteria has to offer. Excellent communication with the property manager and it’s been nice to have all the necessary beach toys and accessories that you’ll need to experience the beach!

We had a wonderful stay! The place was updated and well furnished. The bed was very comfy. It is a bit *cozy* for 2 adults and 2 kids. Bear in mind that the sidewalk in front has a lot of foot traffic - but that was expected and understandable given it is on the main drag on the way to the beach. It was perfect for our little family getaway - we went to the beach everyday, there were plenty of cute restaurants to walk to, and Santa Barbara was an easy 10 min drive away!

Overall, this is a good place to stay. But I got the impression that it has busy booking since place is missing hair blow dryer which is listed as having it. But Linda was super quick to remedy it and rush me a new blow dryer on that night when I told her about. The floor is kind of dusty which might be typical of Beach Location. I request a late departure but Linda told me No because cleaning has already been scheduled WHICH is VERY TRUE since cleaning lady come promptly at 11am to clean and while I am moving stuff into my car I can see that she is very through. It is a wonderful place to stay and would do it again in the future if opportunity arise. Just some suggestions, remember to check out the garage which has all sorts of beach toys, chair, umbrella, balls, surfboard. Would be nice if we know it prior to our arrival. Also, make sure to use the outside shower after beach play so that you can return to your room without beach sand. THE OUTSIDE SHOWER has both cold and hot water which is very rare. A very nice place to stay at. Just be sure to read all the reviews so you know that you would not need to bring your own stuff. Also, the garage also have bikes to borrow.

Great location, one block from the beach. Very clean, updated throughout, nice finishes. Unit was on the first floor, plumbing from upstairs was VERY LOUD, otherwise very nice place.

The Playa beach lodging is as pristine inside as the outside looks. Comfortable beds, even the pullout couch bed was great. Nice patio with your own fire pit and gate, perfect for kids. Perfectly location between the beach and restaurant/shops. Quick response by staff and us was very helpful as well. Thank you

The listing was as advertised and was conveniently near the state beach which was lovely. The dedicated parking is tight, but there was plenty of street parking if you have a larger vehicle. Host was very accommodating and was very communicative. Nice gem!

Spring Break
We had a wonderful Spring Break! The condo offered beach toys, chairs and bikes! Linda was very responsive, the condo was clean and our family had a great vacation. We will defiantly return!

Perfect getaway
The location of this condo couldn’t have been more perfect. The rental itself had everything you need and nothing you don’t. There were some board games that were a bonus, a playground right next door for our little one and a healthy little co-op within walking distance that made the best smoothies and sandwiches!

Clean Comfortable Accommodations
We selected this property as it seemed to be great location, had quality finishes, and was very comfortable. The property more than met expectations. Very clean, quiet, location across the street from park & 2 min walk to beach, wonderful outdoor fire pit, and high quality appliances for cooking. Check in process was very efficient and parking was easy We’d definitely recommend staying here.

Christmas stay
Great location & very nice condo & building. This unit is great size for 2 people. We had 2 other adults for 2 nights of the stay, used the sofa bed. It’s tight fit for 4 adults. I highly recommend 2 adults. Linda was great host. Even left us a Xmas card and hot cocoa set. Looking forward to a future stay.

The unit was fabulous! It exceeded our expectations! So clean, well appointed & amazingly close to an incredible beach! High quality construction and decor. Fully equipped kitchen to cook our Thanksgiving meal. With extra touches. Linda was easy to communicate with & there was thorough directions for use of everything. Games to play was a pleasant surprise, as well as beach equipment. So a lovely place to relax!

Perfect!
My husband and I stayed with our two young children at this property, and it was literally a perfect trip. The location is great, we were even able to find parking directly out front. The condo felt very luxurious with high end furnishings. The bed was very comfortable. Our children slept on the pullout coach with no complaints. The patio is just perfect for mornings and evenings at happy hour with the fire pit on. I would happily stay here over and over again!

Beautiful property centrally located in Carpinteria, CA
The condo is so well done and emaculate inside and out. The outdoor patio and fireplace were so fun and proximity to the beach and main street can't be beat. Can't wait to go back and highly recommend to anyone visiting Carp.

I WOULD STAY AGAIN, THAT SAY'S IT ALL!
INITIALLY WE THOUGHT IT WAS A BIT SMALL,BUT IT GREW ON US AND WORKED OUT JUST FINE. QUIET AND CENTRALLY LOCATED TO ALL THE THINGS THAT I LOVE ABOUT CARPINTERIA. WE HAD LOVELY NEIGHBORS THAT YOU CAN VISIT WITH OR NOT, DEPENDING ON YOUR PREFERENCE. THE FIRE PIT IS LOVELY. WE ARRIVED LATE AT NIGHT BUT THE EASY ACCESS KEEPS YOU FROM BOTHERING ANYONE.

We had a great time in Carpintería and loved our stay at Playa Lodge. So close to the beach, cute little place that was clean, well stocked and like new, all the toys and recreation items you need. I definitely recommend this place for a couples getaway or a family vacay. It was perfect!

Because I'm still crying that I had to leave this GLORIOUS home. Oh, where do I start? Linda! That is where. I have stayed in somewhere in the range of 70+ vacation rentals (mostly for work), and the host is everything. Linda is, hands down, one of the best hosts I have encountered. She is prompt, kind, helpful, and willing to work you on arranging your timing, etc. She even greets you with a welcome card! What?! And then there's the space. Beautifully appointed with everything you need. The quality of the build is outstanding. The kitchen is stacked with Viking appliances. The bathroom inspired me to remodel mine. The entire place was just perfect and made me feel very much at home. My mornings included runs at the beach, followed by a walk to Reynaldo's Bakery for coffee and the best breakfast burritos. Basically. Ever. I was working most of the time but did spend my last afternoon at the beach. Accompanied by the towels and beach chairs provided at the house, and of course, a bottle of Rosé. And, a 2-minute walk to the sand. If I could buy this entire building, I would. The hosts have done an exceptional job with the renovation, and I can't say it enough, it feels like home. You will SO happy you chose this place for your getaway!

Absolutely perfect
We've paid these same rates at some luxury hotels but I would trade all of that in for another night here. My husband and I wanted to celebrate our wedding anniversary safely but somewhere different - this was perfect. Just a quick walk to the beach, an enclosed patio that has foot traffic (isolation is great, but I'd like to hear people once in awhile!), and a place that has all the amenities from a big kitchen to a clean bathroom - you won't regret your stay.
Safety/Cleanliness: my number one goal was to ensure that we could travel and stay safely. Linda assured me that they had a medical grade machine that cleaned the air - I even saw them use it when other units were being cleaned out. All linen, towels, and blankets were fresh - again, I saw the cleaning team refresh these all when they cleaned other units. Carp did its part in ensuring that masks are required so you'd see probably 85% compliance while you're walking. There's a lot of space to be safe.
Communication: Linda was amazing. She answered all my questions quickly - I really didn't have anything else to want! She even left a kind note for our wedding anniversary!
Location: a five minute walk to the beach - you don't see the beach (you'll see a park) from the patio but it's close enough! It's close to a convenience store and other eateries on Linden. I walked to Lucky Llama coffee every morning - just a quick morning walk.
Amenities: I loved the decorations so much I asked Linda on where she got things! It just feels luxurious and way more set up than an Airbnb. It was worth the money! We cooked a ton, so my only recommendation here is to stock up on more pots, pans, and some cooking basics. The main draw of this place is of course the fire pit - it was such a thrill to be outside all the time.

We absolutely loved this cute, modern, well appointed condo just steps away from the beach and down town. Linda was great. I don’t usually like softer beds but this bed felt like floating on a cloud and sheets were AMAZING. Thank you! We will be back!
