This studio flat is lovely with everything you would need for a short or long term stay. It is a walk-up, so not for those who can't climb stairs - but if you don't mind this, it's a very cute place in a fantastic, safe neighborhood right across from the Tube. Attentive owners who responded quickly to our questions.

More than adequate for one person, Everything needed is there, plus the location is perfect. Warm, bright, cheerful, quiet and lovely. Sixty five steps up and the same number going down plus twenty one steps from the back garden entrance to the front. Loads of climbing stairs! After a busy day of running around London the stairs are a bit daunting. There is no fire escape for this very old , 1832, building, and no fire extinguishers on any of the landings, just the narrow stairs, the only way out. The plumbing is old, crooked pipes to the toilet create an incredible odor at times, I poured buckets of water down the system which seemed to remedy the problem for a little while. The bath is lovely, the floor incredibly beautiful, thoughtful touches here and there throughout. The room is full of light , sunshine pouring in through majestic windows overlooking the beauty of the mansions of white stucco all up and down the street. Quiet neighborhood. Best of all locations, especially convenient, through the back garden door, right across from the tube station, every shop for your needs side by side, right there. Excellent pub on the corner, The Castle, with great sausage and mash, pies and mash, pub fare- can't go wrong! Easy walk to Portobello - Portland road is a nice ,intriguing way to get there- beautiful neighborhoods and buildings along the way.The walkway aside Holland Park to Kensington high street, takes you to every shop you could possibly need. Art supply, post office, hardware ...keep going and turn right suddenly you are at Harrods, just in time for lunch. From Holland park- cross Kensington high street , walk down to Earls court , have tea at a little french restaurant -walk a bit farther to Brompton cemetery, spend some time there, peaceful and beautiful. The location of the Peacock Attic is incredible , the busses are brilliant, the tube fast and easy. I would stay here again were it not for the 65 plus 21 stairs to climb, and the lack of fire safety, London does have a history...one might reckon that that consideration would top the list. If none of that bothers you, do stay here, for as long as you can, I stayed for six weeks, it is a treat and I am most grateful for my time in this little slice of heaven.

Don't let the size sway you, The Peacock Attic is a haven of beauty and wonder. Truly exudes a romantic atmosphere. If you're looking to stay in an area away from the bustle yet close to it, this is the place. Everything you need is at your disposal, from entertainment (books, tv) to wanderings (steps away from the Holland Park Station, 15 minute walk to Portobello Market in Notting Hill). Jasper was extremely helpful and prompt in replying. Without a doubt, I would recommend this flat to anyone visiting London and will most likely stay here again! Thank you so much!

Before I rave about the studio, if you cannot climb stairs read no further... I live in an old 4-floor walk up so am used to carrying my cases up and down. But once settled in, the studio was perfect for me. It would be fine for a close couple as well. Warm, cozy, very clean, super modern appliances and bath fixtures, balanced with romantic decor elements, natural woods and antique furniture.

This flat has spoiled me for good. The owners set the bar for elegant simplicity right up there at the top. As the pictures attest, the flat is beautifully appointed, but even the pictures don't do it justice: fresh, clean, light, lovely view, modern facilities, highest-quality furnishings-- including luxurious linens. The owners also took exceedingly good care that I, as a solo traveler, was comfortable and secure. The rear entrance puts you literally steps away from the Tube, yet the flat is a block from Holland Park and is very quiet. Quite simply I would plan my next London visit around the availability of this flat!

We had a lovely stay in this studio in Holland Park. The studio is very charming , tidy, light and comfortable. The shops and restaurants in Holland park and Notting Hill are great and the central line makes it very easy to go to the centre. I would highly recommend it and would definitely book this studio again next time we come to London.
