The pictures on the VRBO listing are accurate but do not do justice to the view of the Tuckaseegee below and Smoky Mountains horizon. This retreat was exactly what we needed. The 2 bedroom cabin sits right on the edge of the mountain with completely unobscured views from family room, 1 bedroom, and the nice large covered porch. The property was spotlessly clean with comfortable beds and well stocked kitchen needs. We highly recommend this beautiful vacation rental.

My family of four have been coming to WNC almost yearly for 15 years. We have stayed in a variety of cabin rentals. Some obscenely luxurious and others on a budget. Eagles Landing is hands down the most majestic stay we have ever had out to this region. I never wanted to leave. We live in a busy suburb. This was the most quiet place we have ever stayed. You will only hear the sounds of nature and the occasional boat down on the lake which will inspire you to rent your own just a short drive up the road (Alarka Marina was fantastic). This is a rare time where the promo materials 100 percent match with what you are receiving. The home is fresh, new and clean. The kitchen easy to prepare meals in. The beds comfortable. The deck a beautiful way to start and end the day. If you are lucky you will wake up in the clouds. The natural landscaping makes this cabin feel private despite their other large cabin being right next door. We really cannot wait to plan our next trip to this house. We feel lucky to have been able to stay here.

We are weary grandparents needing a getaway from raising a teenage grandson. This was the perfect place for us! We could relax on the deck and watch the sunrise and/or sunset (usually both) over the Smoky Mountains and still plan day trips to ride the Great Smoky Mountain train out of Bryson City or take a day and drive to Clingman's Dome and Newfound Gap (even on into Gatlinburg ). But our favorite was just sitting on the deck and taking in the scenery of the Smokies and Fontana Lake. The cabin was well supplied with cookware, so we fixed nearly all of our meals there and always ate on the deck. Talk about the perfect setting for a meal...wow! The hosts did a great job providing information prior to our trip and had a booklet of information waiting on the counter upon our arrival. Couldn't have asked for a better getaway! Be prepared for a lot of curvy roads to get to the cabin, though. Coming from a flat cornfield area in Indiana, it took a bit of adjustment to driving the mountainous roads of TN & NC, but by day 2, we had a pretty good grip on how to drive on this terrain.

We just love staying at Shannon and Michelle's cabins. This is our third time staying here. What an amazing, beautiful, peaceful retreat. The time spent here is so relaxing. Oh what an incredible view! Their cabins are always immaculately clean and the beds are comfortable. They are great hosts, attentive to all your needs. We got to see an eagle which was a real treat. We will definitely be returning, Lord's will.

Seriously, turn off your phone and enjoy the view all day and night. This is a magnificent hidden gem with everything needed to be your weekend home away from a busy life. The view is everything and the pictures are just a fraction of the beauty. The stary sky away from civilization is quite beautiful too. There's internet too, but you really won't need it.

Our stay was absolutely perfect, from the directions up to home to the attention to detail once we were inside. We were a group of five and I so appreciate when there are enough seats for everyone to be comfortable. The home felt really spacious and well laid out, and the view from the deck was worth wrapping up with a blanket and a book to enjoy! There was local coffee stocked in the kitchen as well as menus for local restaurants. The starter supplies were generous, and you can tell the owner wants every guest to feel welcome and relaxed for their stay. Thank you for a fantastic stay!
