My family and I had a wonderful week at the vacation house. Mindy was super responsive and the house was exactly what we were looking for. We had a couple of rainy days but enjoyed playing games at the table overlooking the Bay. We kayaked to the pier and back (whew, what a workout) and we will be back again!

We spent a lovely weekend at Summerlee while attending Hawktoberfest at SMCM. Such a relaxing spot to come back with friends after a busy day. You can not beat the view that greats you when you wake up either.

Location was great. House is roomy with a bathroom for each bedroom. Loved the three distinct sitting areas on the main floor. Loved all the sliding doors opening to decks, etc. Kitchen could use some updating and more supplies. Saw no plastic wrap, aluminum foil. And comfort height toilets in every bathroom would be a plus!

Our family had a wonderful time at Summerlee. During the day we kayaked & played at the beach, in the evenings we played games, read & watched movies. It was very nice for all of our varied ages; baby to senior. The house itself is very well furnished and the big kitchen was a pleasure.

I highly recommend this home. You are steps away from the water on your own private beach. We stayed here during spring break and although the water was too cold for a swim, you can still dip your feet, and relax on a beach chair while soaking up the rays and listening to the gentle crashing of waves. There is a family of ospreys living nearby and it was fun to watch them as they went about their business fixing up their home. The house itself was clean, has many rooms, and the common areas were spacious. The interior decor was also nice. There aren't any grocery stores nearby however the Dollar General just up the road carries many things including fruits, vegetables as well as milk, and eggs. The house has Wi-Fi but we barely used it as we spent most of our time on the beach. The house also has grills and we did a lot of our cooking outside. Thank you again for the pleasant stay and we hope to book again in the future!

This was a beautiful location and a beautiful space to be with family and friends. Loved the walks along the water, the bike rides, and being able to forget the worries of life to watch the birds and the water. Elizabeth could not have been more helpful, generous, and kind. We felt very cared for. Best of all, it was a place to take my 8-month-old puppy, who learned to swim. Not often do you find such a beautiful place that welcomes your beloved family pet. We will most definitely be coming back. Thank you

We had a nice family getaway for a 4 day long weekend! The property was great for us with plenty of rooms and seating space for us to convene for meals, games, books reading etc…The weather was cold, but we did enjoy walking on the beach with our puppy and listening to the waves while sitting in the screened porch. The approach to the house is not the best with bumpy roads and a lot of construction in progress. But it should look great when done. Overall good experience. Thank you.

This is a beautiful, homey, comfortable beach property. When a repair was needed, that was no fault of the property owners, they were amazingly helpful and accommodating. And it was 2 days before Thanksgiving! Any vacation can be wonderful when things go smoothly, but this group helped us have a beautiful family vacation when things were not perfect. We will return!!

The location and house was great. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. Nice large lounge, family and kitchen. Outdoor screened room is great when weather permits. The kayaks that comes with the house was great the keep the kids occupied. This would be a great house during summer.

My family gathered for two nights at the Summerlee house to celebrate our mother's 90th birthday and the setting exceeded our expectations! We spent much of our time together on the screened in porch marveling at the view of the ever-changing water and sky (it almost felt as if you were floating on the water!), enjoying the Bay breezes and soft air, and watching the butterflies, gulls, herons, cormorants and eagles fly by. We kayaked, swam, took the bikes for an outing, and cooked together in the large and well-stocked kitchen. The bedrooms - each with their own bathrooms were comfortable and private, and the open living/dining/kitchen plan was wonderful. AND - we loved the outdoor shower! Gathering with each other in such a beautiful setting was a delight - we hope to be back soon.

Lots of spots to sit & read or take in the views. The wrap-around deck was wonderful. It’s a wooded location so be prepared to sweep off a spot (brooms provided) & wipe down some seats (bring a few rags & some cleaning supplies for the outside furniture). The inside was nice & clean & well-appointed. It was pouring rain when we arrived so I was happy to find some old towels in the car that we used as door mats inside so we wouldn’t track mud inside. We spent our week relaxing on the beach, reading in the screened in porch or on the deck, kayaking & crabbing. It was nice to be forced to slow down & take it all in without running from one attraction to the next!

We have been coming to the Scotland Md properties for years, but this was the first time with our granddaughter as a toddler. Summerlee was perfect for us. The lower level was quiet for toddler naps and bedtime while the adults enjoyed the main level. We were able to section off a sitting room as a play area. The beach is steps away. The views are amazing and we love the porch. It was the perfect family get away. Another note: our greyhound needed medical attention and Breton Vet took our dog on short notice and gave wonderful care.

The views from the house of the bay are stunning, and you are only a few steps from the back door to the beach. We enjoyed kayaking and relaxing by day, night time beach fires at night. Terrific family get away, I highly recommend this place! The property manager was friendly and helpful.

Scotland Md is one of our favorite places to go and unwind. We have stayed in multiple Peggy Binzel houses, but this was the first time we stayed at Summerlee. It was perfect for gathering on main level, while lower level bedrooms were perfect for a quiet area for a 6 month old. There are multiple sitting areas, spacious kitchen and as always very stylish decor. The best part are all the windows with views of the beach, and the bay and beach just steps away. A magical place.

Was looking for a house with a water view that went on forever and this was as advertised. The photos on the site are very accurate. Neighboring house is close but is screened by trees so you feel isolated (in a good way). A couple small issues were addressed promptly by property manager once we located her (the given number that was on our house fact sheet was out of date--thus the four stars for communication). The house itself is very nice, plenty of room. Definitely would consider coming back with my adult children as well. Knocked one star off of cleanliness for one very not clean shower, and a somewhat lacking floor sweeping on the screened porch and kitchen. Manager offered to have shower cleaned (we declined, our stay was short) and I swept the kitchen and porch myself. Best feature: large screened in porch that sits at the front of the house off of the kitchen--so peaceful, bay views that really can't be beat.

Reconnect with family

Our entire family was able to arrange the same week off with no interruptions. What a glorious time we had! The main living area was roomy enough for all 10 to watch tv, eat, play cards, read, and put a puzzle together on a rainy day. Kitchen was well stocked, beds were comfortable, and enough bathrooms for all. The beach was fabulous for grandkids and adults alike. We dug, swam, fished, picnicked, star-gazed, and campfired. Close to the house, it was easy to run back in if necessary. The outside shower made it a breeze to get the sand off. We could not have asked for a better place to relax and reconnect!

We really enjoyed our stay at Summerlee. The sunsets were amazing and the setting was perfect. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and we enjoyed the kayaks, puzzles, games and fireplace. The check-in / check-out process was simple and property management very helpful and responsive. We had one issue with the broadband/wifi which was quickly resolved with the property manager. We look forward to returning in the future!
