About this house rental
Maile's Cottage is an historic landmark in the quaint township of Three Rivers. Maile's Cottage affords you incredible accessibility to the main entrance to Sequoia National Park, just a 10 minute drive. Plus, you have the convenience of being able to walk to local restaurants and stores including a coffee shop, frozen yogurt shop, Sierra Subs, the Ol Buckaroo, Three Rivers Brewery, and a local market all just a stone's throw away. And - you are welcome to bring your family dog with you on your vacation.
The owners have lovingly restored and upgraded this charming cottage to provide modern amenities and conveniences while maintaining the original architectural integrity. You will be delighted with the stylish uncluttered interiors and carefully selected vintage furniture and chic decor, all created by a professional Interior Designer whose specialty is boutique hotels.
The spacious living room has an original iron stove and wood burning fireplace, comfortable leather sofas, large flat screen with Blu Ray player and internet for downloading movies and accessing Netflix (not connected to cable or satellite). You will need to bring your password. There is also a large selection of DVD's. The kitchen overlooking the private rear garden features granite counter tops, farm sink, and quality appliances. Adjoining the kitchen is a dining room with vintage wood dining table and seating for up to 6 people. There is also a bright and sunny breakfast area with large sliding glass doors opening onto the rear garden.
The outdoor living environment is equally enchanting. Relax or dine in the large private rear garden which features a gas BBQ and plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy al fresco dining. Sip a glass of wine under the old olive tree in the front courtyard while watching the sun set beyond the peaks of the Sierra foothills.
Accommodations on the ground floor comprise a master suite with a king size bed, large closet, and glass sliding doors opening onto a private patio. The modern master bathroom has twin vanities, a toilet, and a walk-in shower with river pebble floor.
The other ground level bedroom features a Tempur-Pedic King bed and closet.
A family bathroom downstairs features a pedestal vanity, toilet and shower bath combination.
Upstairs is a huge bedroom with a queen size bed, a full size bed, and a twin bed. Because it can get pretty warm up there, we provide a portable A/C unit (in addition to the whole house A/C unit) to keep the entire loft nice and comfortable during the summer months.
For your comfort Maile's Cottage offers central air conditioning and heating.
The experience of staying in a super chic historic cottage while enjoying one of America's great national parks will make for a vacation you will never forget.

The place was just what we needed for our hiking in Sequoia. The place had everything and beds were all very comfortable. Robin was extremely responsive the whole stay was perfect.
Thanks!.

We really enjoyed our stay at Maile’s cottage. It’s in a perfect location for visiting Sequoia NP. It’s a bit of a drive to Kings Canyon so we didn’t get there this time. The unit was very clean and is really well appointed with kitchen equipment and games. We played monopoly (cheater’s edition) 2 nights and had a blast. The beds are super comfortable and we loved sitting on the covered porch in the morning. Robin was very responsive and helpful to any questions we had. There are some nice places within walking range too; 3 rivers brewing is a fun spot, Buckaroo was really good, but the frozen yogurt place was the best. It became a daily staple. The only issue is low water pressure but that was a minor problem and easy to manage. We would definitely return and highly recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay at Maile’s Cottage. The property is located right in the heart of Three Rivers so you are close to everything in the town and just close enough traveling to and from the park.
There are so many thoughtful touches at the property that make this place extra comfortable. The kitchen is well-stocked with the essentials and even all of the extras like salt and pepper, spices, oils and my personal favorite, whole coffee beans and a coffee grinder.
The beds are extra comfy and the upstairs room was an extra delight for my daughter. It’s stocked with toys, games and books galore. There are more than enough towels in each of the bathrooms, and they have thoughtfully placed “in case you forgot” baskets in each bathroom with some travel essentials because one does always forget, or run out of, something.
Robin is incredibly responsive and communicative and overall just very helpful in making sure you have a wonderful stay.
I highly recommend this property if you’re staying in Three Rivers or want to visit the Sequoias. It’s a wonderful respite after a busy day in the park.

We stayed here with my husband and 2 kids (9 & 10 yrs old). Kids absolutely loved having their own room upstairs. We loved the master bedroom with attached bathroom. The house is perfect! Has everything you can ever need. Robin even thought of providing these little "just in case you forgot" baskets full of little things you may need. Super clean and spacious. Love how close we were to food and grocery stores.
Highly recommend this place!

This place is so cute! My kids LOVED the upstairs. There are lots of board games and other activities in the house. Wifi worked well. The kitchen is pretty nice (although we didn't cook).
The location is great too. You can walk from the house to various coffee shops, grocery store, restaurants, etc. It is like 10-15 minutes from the house to the entrance to Sequoia National Park.
All in all, it's a great place!

Maile's Cottage was a wonderful place to stay for our short trip to Sequioa National Park. It was a great location just outside the gates, and near lots of restaurants. We ever went swimming in the river a few miles away at the Slippery Rock State Park. Given the heat, the AC was a blessing, and kept us cool ever in temperatures over 106 degrees outside.

Our family of 4 (2 teens) stayed at this historic cottage in late June. The home was more than enough space for us. Our daughter had the really neat 2nd floor room all to herself, which she enjoyed. There is no bathroom on that level, but that did not present a problem. Our son stayed in the front bedroom and they shared the full bath off the main hall.
The primary bedroom was comfortable. The primary bath, has been updated, and has nice double vanity space. Please note, if you have a larger build, parts of the cottage may be a bit of a tight squeeze. There are low doorways, and the primary shower door doesn't open very wide. The toilet is also a bit close to the shower. The hall bath doesn't have these challenges and is right outside the master.
The entire cottage is very charming and extremely clean! I especially enjoyed the beautiful garden garden and serene atmosphere. The weather was very hot during our stay. The central air lagged a little, but it did keep us cool enough. There are fans to help! It's important to utilize the curtains to block out the sun during the hottest parts of the day.
We really enjoyed our stay at this cottage! Robin was a great communicator. There was a plumbing issue that had to be repaired after the previous guest checked out. Robin was quick to let us know that they were working on the issue. It did not delay our check-in and everything was clean and in perfect working order by the time we arrived. Great host and property!

Had a great 3 night stay for our family of 5. Upstairs sleeping area was great for the kids, loved the movie selection for a family movie night after a day in the National parks and my kids loved playing in and around the house. Highly recommend for any family looking for housing.

It's really hard to find a nice, reasonably-priced place for us with two adult kids, their spouses, and their dogs. We were so lucky to have found this cottage! Right in town but with a quiet backyard, great air conditioning (it was over 100 degrees outside), and great kitchen for gourmet cooking. Host was exceptionally responsive! Would definitely book again!

The property could not have been any better. It was very ample, but we limited our stay to certain rooms as there were only 3 of us. The surroundings were nice and very peaceful. We were out for most of the day visiting the neighboring national parks but while at the property, it could not have been any better.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Miele's cottage during our visit to Sequoia National Park. The cottage is very well appointed, and Robin's attention to detail is unmistakable. This is a vintage home with cosy comfort not too far from Sequoia National Park.

The hous where we were supposed to stay had some issues prior to our arrival. The owner had this upgraded home available and let us stay here at no extra charge. Another owner may not have noticed the issues and we would have been stuck there for at least one night if not longer. Robin was proactive and took care to make sure we were happy with the upgrade. This house has everything! We are spoiled forever!

This place was the perfect place for us while we explored sequoia national park, kings canyon and the surrounding areas.
Cozy, comfortable house with space for my family of four to hang out together or have
Our own space. It is also conveniently within walking distance to many restaurants and stores.
We will definitely consider this place the next time we are in the area.

This was the perfect retreat away from the city. The location was perfectly situated near the base of the national park + not too far from Visalia for grocery shopping. The kitchen was fully stocked so we were able to cook anything. The living room and bedrooms were very cozy and the cabin stove was a definite plus! Our dog loved the fenced-in yard. I would totally recommend this place for a family stay and or medium sized groups.

Took a girls trip up to Seqioia National Park and found Maile's Cottage to be just as advertized, a cozy historic cottage with ample amenities, located in a great location with access to dining and fuel. Only 5 miles from the park entrance with a nice drive to get there. Robin was very communicative and even had a lovely note and sign welcoming myself, my group and even my pup. She also swung by to drop of some special coffee beans that she forgot to bring beforehand. She was very welcoming as was the home. Only item of note, when the heater is in use, the upstairs bedroom gets really warm.

Great location for exploring Sequoia National Park! Very comfortable, well-furnished house, perfect for family and friends gatherings. Spacious inside and out. The three bedrooms and two baths allowed for spreading out and privacy. The kitchen had everything we needed and the owner, Robin, provided a few extras for our Thanksgiving cooking. We were so happy to find this gem in the heart of Three Rivers!

This little cottage has it all; location, amenities, and comfort. The cottage has a great location with easy access to Sequoia National Park, local restaurants, Three Rivers Brewing and a well-stocked Village Market. Amenities were thoughtful from extra toiletry items to nightlights. The kitchen had ample glassware, plates and utensils. The beds and pillows were comfortable and we relaxed in the dining and living rooms each evening. I would stay here again when traveling to Three Rivers!

This vintage cottage is amazing,
Immersed in nostalgia and yet, has all the creature comforts.
We have never stayed in a location. That was better for visiting the Sequoia National Park.

After being cancelled last minute by another host, I was in a bind to find something quick. I came across this cottage, and I am so thankful I did. Everything was perfect. The location was exactly where we needed to be, whereas the previous place was over an hour further from Sequoia. This is right in the heart of town, within walking distance to the brewery and frozen yogurt. The cottage itself was comfortable, plenty of room for our family of 5, and the games were a nice touch! We enjoyed a few of them on the beautiful patio table. Robin was a fantastic host- very responsive to messages, kind, and ensured the house was well stocked even with an “in case you forgot” bucket. She has thought of everything. Thank you for saving our trip!

We had a great stay! This property feels very secluded so there’s a lot or privacy but it’s within walking distance to local shops, restaurants, coffee shops, froyo/shaved ice, etc. It’s also a short drive to Sequoia National Park. The house had everything we needed including very comfy beds!

Excellent location. Cozy house that was nice to come home in the evening. Loved the little breakfast nook area that was sunny in the mornings. The rosemary plant smelled nice in the yard landscaping. Loved the fresh coffee beans that were provided and a coffee grinder for making coffee to start the day.

Centrally Located Cozy Cottage
Maile’s Cottage is a very quaint, historic cottage that all six of us enjoyed. It was extremely clean and tidy. Robin was an excellent host with great communication. The extra touches with amenities was a welcome surprise. We enjoyed looking at the scrapbook of suggestions for the area. The cottage is in walking distance of many fabulous shops and eateries. The beds were very comfy and the information in the house regarding the property was straight forward. We highly recommend this cottage. Our adult and teenage children didn’t want to leave this quaint and cozy place.
