Within minutes you can go trout fishing in the middle of the wilderness or reach a wide variety of restaurants, shops, and all the fun attractions the area has to offer.

The well-equipped kitchen offers plenty of counter space for multiple chefs and ability to set up buffet-style meals. Lots of wooden cabinetry offers ample storage. Small appliances such as Keurig single serve K Cup coffee maker, crock pots, mixer, toaster, Belgium waffle iron, blender, pop corn, rice cooker, food processor and 2x 12 cup filter coffee makers are standard. The property is as promised. Clean and suitable for up to 20. We had 13 and were comfortable. The vista is jaw dropping. A must see. Off the back decks mountains as far as u can see. Community pool offers similar experience. You WILL see blank bears. They frequent grounds scavenging. We saw at least two different sets. It was one of the more picturesque vacations we have had

It was the perfect place to stay with a big group. There was plenty of room and the place is very well kept. The owners were very nice and great with communication! I would stay there again. We even got to see some bears!

We just came home from one amazing vacation! We had a family rendezvous that consisted of relatives from Pennsylvania, Ohio, Colorado, Kentucky and California. The photos for "Amazing Views" appear almost too good to be true, but they are the real thing. While I would not have minded staying in the cabin and soaking up the views, the young adults in our group wanted to check out the area's attractions. We went ziplining, rafting, go-carting and hiking. We enjoyed Dolly's Stampede dinner show and a comedy show. The cabin was very clean and the perfect layout to accommodate us all. The owners responded to our every question and need. We will definitely be back to enjoy the fall colors!

The property was beautiful. We stayed for 1 week with our family. The house had a great setup for multiple families. We did all the cooking at the house. We even saw a bear walking around the neighborhood. Great stay!

We had a wonderful Smokey Mountain getaway, and this cabin served as the perfect place for our family to surprise my mom for her 70th birthday. We loved sitting on the balconies and taking in the views on every level. The amenities (hot tub, entertainment room, neighborhood pool) kept our kids entertained so we adults could relax. There was enough space for our large family, and everyone was pleased (which is no easy feat! Haha). Karolina and Carlos were very responsive and helpful with regular communications before, during, and after our stay. We would come back again and do it all over! Thank you for giving my mom (and us) a wonderful mountain getaway! We loved it!

We booked this cabin for our wedding because we had a large group! The cabin was beautiful the area was beautiful. It was just amazing all around. Our host were wonderful also! Would highly recommend this cabin for a large group!

We loved our time here. The owners were unbelievably responsive. The house was outfitted very well and the hot tub was great following our hikes and activities. If we ever go back we would definitely rent from here again.

Our group of 15, ranging in age from 80 to 1, had the best time. The house was clean and set up for optimal enjoyment. We loved the ultra organized kitchen, and of course, the amazing game room.

Our family celebrated our Mothers 80th Birthday and everything was perfect! Plenty of space and the game room on the 2nd level was perfect for the younger kids. The owners were amazing from the moment we booked and so quick to respond. Would not hesitate to book with them again. Thank you!!

There was more than enough space for our gathering, nothing but fun, laughter, food and plenty of memories to last a lifetime. Other than the power going out for four (4) hours, we still laughed it off and when the lights came back on…you’d thought we won the lottery. On the last night of our trip, it snowed and that was the highlight for some of us. Thanks again

The cabin had a nicely paved road to a beautiful view and plenty of parking. It accomdated me, my immediate family and their kids just fine. There was coffee, dish detergent and pods, plenty of towels (shower towels and hot tub towels) and pelnty of pots, pans, and cooking utensils. There were even spices! All the games worked, and we enjoyed them all. And the view was amazing. The only downfalls were a lot of the surfaces were very dusty, quite a few light bulbs were out in various rooms like bathrooms and bedrooms, and we did find miscellaneous trash. Minor things, and was not a detriment to our stay.

The property was perfect for our large group of 14 plus a pup! Everyone had their own space for sleeping and bathrooms. There was a lot to do at the cabin with a pool table, air hockey, arcade games, foosball and board games/books. The kitchen was well stocked and there was plenty of seating for everyone to eat together! The house was clean and the owners responded immediately to all of our questions! They were very generous with supplying toiletries and kitchen needs and even had coffee and chocolates waiting for us on arrival! I definitely recommend renting from these owners!
The drive up the mountain is windy and long but the views at the top are worth it! We ventured into town 3 out of our 5 days but the cabin had so much space and so much to do that it was perfect for spending quality time as a family and just hanging out together! Thank you for providing a wonderful house for us to make lasting memories!

My wife and I wanted to take my family to the mountains for Christmas. This is something my mom and dad have wanted to do for a long time. So we finally did it. Our daughter found this mountain cabin on Vrbo and it looked great. We reserved the house several months in advance and eagerly waited for our time to go to the mountains.
When we finally arrived to the house it far exceeded what we had seen on line. The house was huge extremely clean and a fantastic view! Both of my parents could not stop talking about the house. The family room the game room the media room the kitchen. They just keep going on and on. Each floor had access to a wonderful deck with fantastic views. We truly enjoyed our stay and couldn’t ask for a better host. I had a couple of questions before we arrived and received quick answers each time. Thanks for making my families Christmas one of the most memorable ever.

I put together a Grandkid reunion for my father who is 88 years old. Originally 20 were to show but, we all know things happen and only 10 were able to come. All I can say is WOW! I could get use to staying here. So peaceful! So enjoyable!
Every morning waking up and having coffee on the porch with views of the beautiful mountains. Perfect cabin for a family reunion. We are so grateful we chose Mountain Pause Retreat. What a wonderful get away from the every day stress. We enjoyed our family time together. We have so many wonderful new memories to cherish. Place was great and very close to pool and gym. Great views from several areas/levels and kitchen was well stocked. It is not super close to Pigeon Forge so if that matters google the address before you book. There are several food options not that far away and a Dollar General and so that’s extremely helpful. We didn’t need to go to PF or Gatlinburg fortunately. There’s a second smaller fridge you can use to stock up on things. Owners were very responsive and helpful. Check in and check out was super easy. The pavilion down the street just a short walk had incredible views. I believe it’s available for rent (as well as the church across the street). As a matter of fact a wedding took place while we were there and my 5 yo daughter was mesmerized. 😃 Unless or rather until the family grows too large, we’ll use again.

This cabin was absolutely beautiful!!! The views are incredible. It was the perfect size for my friend group. The cabin owners are extremely nice and kept in contact with us since the moment we booked. I have never had a property owner be so nice. I could tell that they care and want you to have a wonderful experience. The cabin was very clean and took care of. The location is very nice because you are not to far from anything! I would recommend this cabin to anyone! Thank you Carlos and Karolina for everything!

Our family of 12 had a wonderful time! The house was great, saw lots of bears, game room was fun, beds were comfortable and the view was spectacular! Great memories were made. I would rent this house again if we come back.

Mountain Pause was everything we could have hoped for. Everything was spotless, nothing was broken and the game room is phenominal. My grandkids and great grandkids enjoyed regular bear sitings. We especially liked the large seating area where we could all get together for meals. The scenic views from all the balconies were fantastic and the balconies also
provided great places to simply relax and read. The location of the cabin was relatively close to all the various things our family wanted to do and visit. In general, 5-star all the way. Relationship with Karolina, one of the owners, was friendly and professional. Thanks, Karolina.

It was perfect for our children and grandchildren. We could all be together and make special memories. The kitchen had everything we needed and all the rooms were furnished with everything you need.The grandchildren( age 11-22) loved the game room!!!

This property was exactly as advertised. Very clean, nothing out of place, everything you need in one place . Spacious rooms with amazing views. Huge balcony on each floor . The hosts were very nice , easy to reach and really easy to talk to . I will definitely recommend this property to everyone I know.

The house needs a little updating but everything was awesome had 20 family members there from 77 year old to 5 year old no one ever gat board kid where so happy I have rented 12 houses in the past i would definitely recommend this house and the owners whent above and beyond to make sure our stay was great

I have never left a bad review, typically I will just not leave a review if its not good. Owner Carlos is RUDE & is also out to get anyones money he can. Unfortunately we had an incident with one of the dogs getting out of the crate & causing some damage. His "handyman" quoted an astronomical fee to have it repaired. Its pretty clear that this is what happens with others as well. They take your money but dont make the repairs. There is carvings & markings on many of the walls that have not been repaired. We did buy the damage protection insurance, filed a claim (which he knew), & he still tried to take $1698 out of our account. He specifically told us that he charged others for damages but clearly did not use that money for the repairs. Besides this mess....the Playstation does not work, there was no xbox as advertised, the ice maker made maybe 1 cup of ice a day, the outside lights on the main porch/door dont work (this was addressed in another review & said it would be fixed but obviously wasnt), the lower level king bathroom vent does not work, the upper rack on the dishwasher always fell off, several of the walls were carved on/damaged, there was only 1 towel available per person (most women use a towel for their hair & one for their body), there was maybe a half roll of toilet paper in each bathroom, the toilet paper holder in the entertainment floor bathroom was broke, there was no dishwasher soap. I could keep going but i have reached my max word limit.
