This property is spacious, cozy and so clean. I almost drew up adoption papers, I wanted to be their very old child ☺️ , the owners thought of EVERYTHING !!! We celebrated my daddy's 79th birthday overlooking the breathtaking smoky mountains. We are planning to return next year for sure .

This property was ideal for our crew!
Plenty of room for our group to sleep comfortably in each room. Kitchen was stocked with mostly what we needed to cook to feed the group.
Multiple porch swings on the different decks and patios were so nice for morning coffee solitude or chats. The hot tub is spacious and the views of the mountains were breathtaking!
We loved the wood furniture and the attention to detail with the comforters and decor.
We had multiple bear sightings, which was so fun for young and old. From the bear greeting us when we arrived to the little bear sending us off at our departure. It was a SUPER cool experience to see so closely. The bears would leave when we got loud, so we didn’t have any safety concerns.
Overall this lodge was perfect for our large group, fun for the adults and kids. It was nice, but didn’t feel like a museum. It was very comfy and cozy.
Host was very responsive.
Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful time staying here with our softball team, the owner was amazing at communication, the road up was rough but the views were well worth it. I would stay here again.

My family and I had an amazing vacation! The views are amazing from the house!! We were welcomed by a bear that was around the property during our stay but kept its distance. Ed was so helpful with any questions or anything we needed. We can’t wait to visit again soon!

WE loved this place because it had plenty of bedrooms and it was very private but close to town. Literally on the side of the mountain and bears visited everyday.

First of all Ed does a great job as a host. He is very prompt to answer any questions you may have. My gamily of 13 (children & grandchildren) had a great time. This cabin has fantastic views of the Great Smokie Mountains like none other. It is just 5 minutes away from the heart of Gatlinburg, yet you feel like you are in a secluded area (which you are). There are no neighboring cabins on top of you. Very isolated. The climb up the road is a little rough, but don't let that stop you. It makes you feel like you are really going somewhere and adds to the overall charm. Sort of off the grid. And when you get to the cabin, it will be worth it. All kinds of amenities for the whole family and large groups.
And best of all, the bears did not disappoint. They visited everyday. This really is a one of a kind place. Can't wait to go back someday.

We had 11 people, aged 12 and up, and we all enjoyed the cabin. It's very roomy, we loved that everyone had plenty of space, and the cabin was so close to town. The hot tub is huge, and the view is unbeatable - and I've stayed in dozens of cabins. Absolutely recommend this place! We had a couple of small issues, but were able to get things worked out with the owner with a bit of persistence. Thank you for a nice stay!

The bridal parties for my wedding stayed at the lodge for three nights, as well as having the reception held there. During our stay we had a great time, the lodge was amazing, and the view was most definitely spectacular. We truly enjoyed our stay at the lodge and would love to return in the future. We also got to see bears everyday, which was great to see.

This cabin fit all of our needs. We had our whole family ranging in age from 10 months to 68 years and everyone had a great time. The cabin was well stocked. It was nice having 3 refrigerators. I would definitely stay again if we ever need something of this size.

We just completed an amazing stay at this lodge and overall it was better than advertised. We had 26 family members from all over the country descend upon Gatlinburg to stay in 3 different cabins in the area. We used the "Lodge" as our gathering point to relax and decompress after our days touring the area. There were complaints about the other two cabins, but nothing significant about the "Lodge." Is it perfect? No, but it is pretty damn close.
Pros:
- The best view we had anywhere while on the trip (This includes Ober Gatlinburg). You can take it in sitting around the firepit at night or looking out the huge windows or from the many porches in the mornings with a cup of coffee or tea.
- Enough room for everyone. The many bedrooms made sure everyone staying at the lodge had a private place to escape to if they needed quiet. The common areas provided plenty of space to socialize and eat even when everyone showed up from the other cabins.
- Great communication from the host!
- Everyone liked the beds.
- Amazing nature! The flowers around the house were beautiful. The highpoint of the trip for many were the visits from the bears. We had 3 different bears that we saw.
Cons (or maybe additional Pros)
- Other reviews mention the road to the cabin is rough and steep. It is.... but fun as well. Leave the sports cars home and you will be fine.
- Living room couches are worn, which means there is little concern of damaging them.
I would add additional pros, but no more characters

The views were immaculate. Great privacy. Everything was clean and there was everything you needed inside. Bring your own firewood, because you don’t want to miss out using their large fire pit with the smokies in the background!

If there is a better view in all of the Smokey's I have not seen it yet. Our church youth group stayed here for our summer trip, and everyone was in awe of the lodge and the view that it provided. It was just as described in the listing and was exceptional. The owner was easy to contact and responded quickly to our questions both before and after we booked. Very close to downtown Gatlinburg, but with a very secluded and private feeling. Ed went out of his way to help us when our church bus had some problems and we had to stay and extra night. I really can't say enough good things about the whole experience. Don't hesitate - stay here!

The view from the lodge is even more breathtaking than imaginable! We stayed here with family and friends for our wedding in Pigeon Forge. It was the perfect resting and gathering place for our large group. Plenty of space to spread out! Our guests were in awe of the view. The drive up is a little intimidating, but 100% worth it! We even were able to get an RV up to the lodge, so it is possible to navigate for larger vehicles. The friendly bear paid us some visits, including sneaking up on us at the fire to give us a bit of a shock! Definitely a memorable week in the mountains! Thanks for being a great host, Ed!

It was perfect with the 9 bedrooms and spacious floor plan. Great views of Gatlinburg and surrounding mountains.

It suited our large family gathering with plenty of rooms for everyone to stay. We did get to see a family of bears and enjoyed watching them. It had everything we needed and beautiful views!

First and foremost, Ed, the property manager was very accommodating and quickly resolved any issues. I would recommend this location for large groups.
Pros: you cannot beat the view, and seeing Bears was a highlight. The long table was perfect for our large family and there was plenty of space, dishes, beds, etc for 22 of us. Loved having 3 refrigerators and freezers.
Cons: When we arrived for check-in, the outside was in disarray, and we had to wait outside for a half hour as repairs were being done in the upstairs bathroom and the hot tub.
We were unable to use the washing machine because the door was broken, but Ed was quick to have a repairman first thing the next morning and immediately took our dirty, wet towels and provided us with fresh clean towels.
Although the Xmas tree was beautiful half of the lights were not working and there are things that could use “updates” including the mattress in the downstairs full bedroom, the sofa bed mattress is old and stained, the bunkbed in the upstairs bedroom squeaks horribly all night when you move.
Although there were plenty of pots and pans and dishes, there are several items that need to be replaced/updated - the knives were very dull.
The drive up the mountain was a bit scary, but was easier each time. All in all it was cozy and Ed is exceptional when it comes to resolving any issues and also offered us a late checkout.

Our whole family was able to come together in this cabin and have a wonderful time for Christmas. Lots of room and parking just didn't like the road up to the cabin. If we are to do this again we will reach out for this cabin again.

5.0 / 5.0
House was well appointed and supplied. We had enough beds and bathrooms for the 10 of us. View was gorgeous and we even had a visit from a black bear. He seemed very comfortable around the house so I think he was a frequent visitor. Only negative was that the road to the house was very hard to see and the drive up was interesting. But once you got there it was beautiful.

The best part about this cabin were the beautiful views! They were breathtaking!

Ed was a wonderful host. The property was clean & spacious. It graciously accomdated our large group of 16. We all came together from several states to celebrate our family matriach's 75th Birthday. We had plenty of room. The views were the most breathtaking of all. There are neighborhood black bears who like to come and dine on leftovers. Lol. Ed, gave plenty of notice about them. We feel badly that they are a little cheeky and mess up Ed's wooden stairs leading up to the trash bin, but nothing new to Ed. Our family enjoyed our long weekend very much. Thank you.

You will find no better views than the lodge on Kristi's Place! Phenomenal panoramic post card! Beds, furniture, kitchen, bathrooms all more than adequate. Decks with views, outstanding. A fire pit for evenings that are unmatched with a backdrop from heaven. Ed was an outstanding host and extremely responsive with anything we needed. 5 Stars earned, you will not be disappointed.

The property was as described. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for our group of 18. The house had everything we needed from bedding, pots/pans to linens and towels. The views were just amazing! The fire pit was perfect for all of us to sit and enjoy. We had daily visitors that kept us on the lookout every time we came outside. 🐻 Ed was very responsive on all of our communication.
PHS Class of 82 was very pleased with our stay! Awesome memories were made!!
Thank you!

Everything was as advertised. View of the mountains was fantastic, 8 minute drive to groceries, Gatlinburg, or a liquor store. We even got a brief visit from a group of 3 playful bears, which was a real highlight of the trip.

This was our 3rd time visiting Gatlinburg. We love the area. This house was perfect for our family. Plenty of room, and the views were splendid. The house was a great location to both the town of Gatlinburg, and tp Pigeon Forge. The bear sightings are always a great thrill. The owner was awesome to work with and communicate with.

Fantastic place with an awesome view. Worked well for us as a base camp to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Dollywood. First day in, we were hit with a storm that knock some trees down on power lines. Power out for roughly 3-4 hours. Got to spot mama bear one day. Only one drawback was that the Community Center that we were going to use as a rainy day backup was closed for annual repairs, so we need a plan c later in the week.
Ed was great with a quick response to all questions.

The Lodge was amazing! We were so surprised by all the complimentary items like toilet paper, trash bags, etc… We loved all the daily visits from the bears and even saw a bobcat a couple times! We loved the close proximity to everything as well. We will definitely stay again!
5.0 / 5.0
The view WAS truly amazing, with beautiful variations according to time of day and weather. We enjoyed seeing at least two different bears and a gorgeous indigo bunting in person for the first time (bring binoculars!).
We were a little concerned about the steep gravel road, but it held up fine even after 4.5 inches of rain in one day! We didn’t venture out that day, but we enjoyed the games and the big TVs. The only time the new internet faltered -- and only intermittently -- was during that day with lots of thunderstorms.
We appreciated the two dining tables and the very well-equipped kitchen with 3 refrigerators, although it would have been nice to have cake pans (we left some disposable aluminum foil pans for others).
The 2 master bedrooms & baths upstairs were spacious and lovely. Some of the 7 downstairs rooms were much smaller, but still adequate. Between the open great room, loft, and decks, there was plenty of space for our large extended family. The air conditioning worked well, and there was plenty of hot water.
There was something for everyone to enjoy nearby. We felt fortunate to catch the last day of the huge Craftmen’s Fair and to see full waterfalls after a big rain.
Ed was very responsive to our questions & took care of our needs promptly. He made our 1st mountain vacation very enjoyable & comfortable.

If you’re looking for a beautiful view of the mountains, this is the place for you! It’s truly a million dollar view! Perfectly located with easy access to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. We loved the large table! It was our gathering place for meals and games. Also had plenty of room for 18 of us to sleep comfortably. Ed was very responsive to all our questions and helped as needed.
