This peaceful and sunny family-friendly vacation rental sits right on the edge of Russian Gulch State Park and offers ocean views, lovely architectural details, and modern comforts including a private hot tub out on the spacious deck complete with a gas grill. An outdoor shower adds convenience during your stay. With an open floor plan, there's plenty of space for relaxing and entertaining here! You'll also enjoy skylights and a gorgeous, wood-burning fireplace. The large, well-equipped kitchen includes an eat-in table, all major appliances, and large windows for plenty of natural light.

After a hearty breakfast, lace up your hiking boots and set off on an excursion to Russian Gulch State Park. Here, you'll find beach access and scenic waterfalls, so be sure to take plenty of photos! This home's central location is two miles north of the heart of Mendocino village and eight miles south of Fort Bragg. No matter which direction you head off in - you'll find something to do here!

Beautiful house, But I couldn’t get to the patio because there are steps and I’m in a wheelchair. I cooked my ass off because it was HOT and I can’t move the thermostat because it’s fixed!! There was no internet, there’s a tree in the middle of the window blocking the view of the Ocean. Cockroaches were a bonus 👍🏻

Everything was as expected and better. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this place and company. They were easy to communicate with and check in was easy. Wifi works great, perfect place for families with kids or adults who want a nice shared place to stay.

We truly enjoyed our stay as always! We love the location as it is both near Fort Bragg and Mendocino. This is the 4th time we have stayed at this house. Our girls feel like this is our 2nd family home. :)

The house is spacious and clean. Fully stocked kitchen with filtered water and sharp knives. There are an assortment of spices in the cabinet, as well as coffee filters. Nice touch with the laundry pods and toiletries. Beautiful landscape. Great views, including deer beyond the fence and wild quail in the yard. The house would benefit from a mattress upgrade. Mattresses are very firm. The primary is firm but sinks to the middle with two people on the bed. I tried four different beds throughout the first night and didn’t sleep well. Tried two more the second night, ending up back in the primary. I would recommend this house only if you don’t mind a hard mattress. Heck I’m was easy. Walk or drive to Russian Gulch park for beach, picnic on bluffs, or beautiful hiking trails.

Stayed the weekend with friends at this beautiful home. Very spacious and exceptionally clean! There was room for everyone to spread out and enjoy. Hot tub too! Can’t wait to visit this property again:-)

Check in to this lovely home was easy. Communication came in a timely manner about location and door codes and check out. The kitchen is huge and full of all the utensils, pots, and knives you could use—all you need is the food! Everything is as pictured. A lovely cozy home complete with hot tub, foxes and deer to watch and a state park with million dollar views just minutes away.

2nd time staying here. You feel at home the moment you walk in. Very cozy house!! Loved the outdoor shower after a soak in the hot tub!! Beautiful wild life everywhere!! Gardens are so colorful and pretty!!

Gorgeous views with a very secluded feel to the property. Loved how close it was to Russian Gulch State Park. Hot tub was a bonus and plenty of space for our family to enjoy.

Great property! Wish the grinch would’ve let us use the playroom as well. Especially with a teenager. Cleaner than most rentals, but spiders in the bathtub, animal feces by the outdoor shower. Still wonderful quiet place

The area of the house had beautiful views although it was mostly foggy. Did noticed that it had 2 other rooms seems like it occupied more personas. Would do this again for this house rent it out!! Thanks great experience David Alcocer

Every room was beautifully decorated, comfortable beds. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of dishes, silverware, glasses and mugs. We noticed it too long for the water to hot in the bathroom near the bedrooms. Because we are very water conscious, we mostly used the shower next to the kitchen.

Everything was amazing! My kids, little brother, and I had a great time. We were close to everything we wanted to do and we were able to relax and enjoy ourselves at the house with the great views and the peaceful and serene surroundings. Not to mention enjoying the hot tub before going to bed. We definitely will be coming back.

This house is located in a nice location just off the highway but it feels secluded. Rooms are large and beds were very comfortable. You have a small view of the water. Big area in the back and a nice deck with a barbecue and hot tub. Also has a huge fireplace but we did not have any wood to enjoy it. The only things that could have been better is if there was coffee. There was a coffee maker and filters but no coffee. All the places I've rented on this site provided coffee. Also would be nice if there was some firewood available. I know we could go somewhere to buy our own but would be nice to have had some waiting for us, even if that was an extra cost. And lastly the lights outside on the porch didn't work. When we flipped the switch there was a little spark but that probably reset the breaker so we had no outside lights. But I would rent this place again if in Mendocino.

We enjoyed the easy check-in, backyard deck, hot tub, spacious and open living/dining rooms, partial ocean view, nice landscaping, birdsong and birdwatching opportunities, and close proximity to Mendocino Village and Fort Bragg. Bed was comfortable. Minor complaint was that most windows didn’t open, making it somewhat challenging to let in fresh air. Also would have liked access to Netflix, etc. on the TV. Price at the time we booked was a good value.

Property is located about 15 short min from Fort Bragg. The house was in great condition and we loved the open floor plan. There were 6 of us (2 adults, 4 teens) and bedrooms were large and beds were plenty. Enjoyed the large deck and hot tub during the morning and evening. Built a fire and sat around the fireplace playing games and a little vino for us. The view of the ocean is amazing!!! Also, property is a 3 min walk to the Russian Gulch State park, a must visit! We will be back!

Needed a last minute change of scenery! Kids were able to do school without issues. Hot tub was on and ready for use when we got there. As a kid my best friends dad owned this house and I spent many a weekend here, it was just as i remembered! Love the property and the house and the location is perfect!

We met with family midway at this fine home- we got to be close with loved ones who’d also been carefully distancing. Not only was it a beautiful location generally, the kitchen being open to the great room made it feel so much more connecting. It was wonderful and my kiddos and I hope to be back soon to visit again. Thank you!

Perfect relaxation

This property was perfect for what we were looking for. A cozy living room, huge well stocked kitchen with a table to seat all, large deck with plenty of seating and beautiful view. The hot tub was an added bonus and much enjoyed! We were able to hike on several trails, go to the beach, and visit several cute coastal towns, as well as the Point Cabrillo Lighthouse.

The surrounding state park is around the corner with great headlands to walk and redwoods to hike. The house is well equipped and a lovely place to spend time gazing at the ocean, playing games and relaxing.
