This was a girls trip for my daughters 18th birthday and we really enjoyed our stay here. It was close to broadway and easy to get to the subway stations to get the other tourist sites. What also was nice was the place was just enough out of the way that the streets were not overly busy or noisy at night. We felt safe no matter what time of the day we were moving around. I would definitely recommend this VRBO and we would definitely stay here again.

This would be a cute spot to stay for some but not for everyone! There are 60 stairs to unit, the unit didnt have working radiator heat when I stayed. So the owner brought in a space heater, but you cant leave a space heater plugged in all day while out of the apartment. When returning to unit at night the space heater took about 4 to 5 hours to heat apartment. At any rate that's why I requested an early check out. I also stained the pillows cases on my side of bed. Because I sweat at night and I have purple hair. I did bring an old towel for that on my trip but that night I forgot to put old towel over pillow case. I did stain the pillow and let the owner know. The owner removed those pillows from the bed and the pillow cases, so he could bleach the stain out. I guess the stain did come out but we were only left with 2 pillows instead of the 4 we started with. I would recommend if you sweat and have color that bleeds definitely bring an old towel to sleep on and use it. Then you wont have the problems I did.

Enjoyed a comfortable stay in NYC. Close to everything and comfortable bed as well.

Overall our stay was fantastic. The apartment is older and the stairs are killer after a long day walking the city but it was quiet, comfortable, and a great location to be close to everything. The listing is correct, if you cannot do four flights of stairs, this is not your apartment. However, if you can, the apartment is just off 5th so it is easy to get anywhere and since it is a bit off the square, the night is much quieter. We had no issues with the neighbors because as we entered the apartment we took off our shoes as was suggested. The bed is very comfortable. I do believe we will stay here again if we visit NY again.

A very nice place to stay - very clean and comfortable. It is small, but the perfect size for what I needed.

The apartment was great! It was very nice and clean. The location was terrific for what we wanted to do. It is right around the corner from the Empire State Building and very convenient to subway and buses. Tom was very easy to work with and responded to us very quickly. He provided us with so much information that was very helpful. Great place!!

This property is perfect walking distance from Penn Station as well as many other restaurants, bars, and all other activities. The stop for the 6 train is also just a couple blocks away. The apartment itself is very spacious and very well kept. I did not here much city noise the entire time I stayed in the apartment and I was there on a busy weekend. The homeowner provided clear instructions, and offered way more than he needed to. He truly offers you a nice stay in his home. I would most definitely go back again. I felt like I was a big shot in a Manhattan apartment for the weekend and I didn't mind that at all. Five Stars and if I could give 6 I would. Waaaay better option than the hotels I was looking at.

Stayed for a four-day mini-vacation in New York. It was a great location in midtown.
A few reviewers of this apartment complained about noise. The place has three windows facing the street up four flights of stairs, and it is midtown with garbage trucks and construction and so on. I did get woken up one night (morning?) by garbage trucks but that is par for the course for this sort of midtown apartment. One thing we noticed when we arrived was that all the windows weren't fully closed and locked, which may have made things a bit noisier for other visitors. In any case, I am planning to come back to New York next month on a mixed business/pleasure trip and would like to rent this place again if the unit is available.
Great value if you are not very sensitive to noise.

All nights were great and apartment is nicely appointed. When it was cold on the first night, Tim made sure I had a room heater the following day. Early mornings were full of backing trucks and banging hammers from construction of building next store. Good value overall. Look forward to coming back.
