We went to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary and had the best time chilling at Chill Hill. The place was so incredible. The weather was absolutely amazing! We had the doors and windows open the entire time. We felt very safe the whole time. Incredible views and hung out on the property a lot cooking out or swimming or just relaxing. The property is beautiful. The host were the best!

This is the 3rd or 4th time that my wife and I have stayed at Chill Hill. I give the property and hosts the highest marks.
We love to cook, eat outside, enjoy the pool and play acoustic music together during our visits. The bed in the primary bedroom is very very comfortable and in short Chill Hill provides everything we want.

Loved our stay at Chill Hill
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Roy and Lee were so pleasant and accommodating, the house was very clean and comfortable to relax in - very nice kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms - and we loved the yard with the pool (nice and warm!) and all the fruit trees and veggies. A great place to stay when visiting wine country and the local breweries!

A perfect Santa Rosa getaway
We were thrilled with this property!!! It's now spoiled us for future rentals as it is so far above those we have stayed in in the past. Loved having a pool, especially since it was quite hot in Santa Rosa last week. The place is really beautiful and comfortable, plus the owner was readily accessible and delightful to work with. Providing us with fresh flowers and a nice bottle of Prosecco was an extra nice addition to our stay.

Stunning views and beautiful home
We had the most wonderful time at Chill Hill! Pulling up we were immediately amazed by the gorgeous views and as you get inside the house the views don’t stop with its huge windows overlooking the hill. The pool, hot tub and outdoor seating area were all incredible and the amenities were comfortable and clean. Would definitely use this house again for a trip to wine country. We did Russian River Valley wineries for two days and Napa/Calistoga the other two days. Our location was perfectly central to everything and a 45 min drive or less to wherever we went. Loved this place!

Perfect
We loved the quiet surroundings and nature out every window. But the enormously calming view and proximity to everything will bring us back here. There were more great restaurants within a 10 minute drive than we have in our entire state back home. Sonoma County is absolutely beautiful and this is a great base for seeing it all! Super recommended.

Fun and Relaxing Vacation
We had a fabulous stay at beautiful Chill Hill. In spite of cool weather and a guest with a bad cold, we managed to utilize all that wine country has to offer. The home is set up so that both couples could have complete privacy when wanted but also wonderful open common areas for cooking, talking and watching sunsets. We DVR'd movies and football and spent outdoors reading, harvesting tomatoes and just enjoying the view.
Not to be missed was our wine and food pairing at St. Francis Winery and wine tasting (and buying) in the Dry Creek Valley. Roy and Johnna's Chill Hill Cheat Sheet was so helpful in getting to know the area. The recommendations were right on the mark. We had a fun dinner at Bird & the Bottle in Santa Rosa and burgers and salad at Carmen's. The extensive varieties of prepared food at Pacific Market was perfect to snack on at home.
Thanks a bunch for the perfect long weekend.

This home delivered as promised
The pictures and description of this home online are as promised. The location is incredibly private to the point that window coverings are limited in the home. The pool was well maintained. The kitchen was stocked to suit our needs. The owners stayed in touch during our stay to make sure we were happy. We enjoyed day trips to Napa and The Sonoma Coast State Park as well as visits to wineries right in Sonoma County. The Chill Hill "Cheat Sheet" provided by the owners provided us with valuable suggestions including grocery store options, restaurants and wineries. This home is a gem!

Oustanding house with gorgous views and fantstic pool
We've stayed at a number of houses in Sonoma county over the years, but this was clearly the best. The house itself was beautifully furnished with everything your could possibly need. Two large picture windows provided stunning views across the valley. It was a joy watching the sunset in the evening, and then seeing the fog spill over the mountain tops early in the morning. My son and I both play piano, so having a grand piano was a huge bonus. The inside of the house was very clean and functional. The pool was incredible. This is where we spent a good portion of our day. The pool area is beautifully landscaped and very serene. We really didn't want to leave the house to go sightseeing, it was so relaxing just hanging at the house. My wife is an interior designer, who is usually very critical of the places we stay at ... not this time. I would also mention that the house is centrally located in Sonoma County. So, if you have to go sightseeing, everything is in a relatively short drive. This is one of the few places we could see ourselves coming back to over and over. Highly recommended!

Loved this place and would return!
This is home has a beautiful view with glorious sunsets. The home's description is accurate, with a lot of nuances: staples in the kitchen, dessert in the fridge, hairdryer, small shampoo bottles in case you forgot yours, laundry detergent, a garden with tomatoes, a lemon and lime tree, etc. The property is well maintained and clean. The owners provided directions to restaurants, wineries, cheese makers, grocery stores, etc. info ahead of time. The only issue we had was it did get hot and had small fans; but we did go during the hottest week of their summer (at one point is was 101 degrees; glad we had the pool) and the weather is not their fault. I would definitely book this home again!! and recommend it.
Wineries: Saw 8 and these were my favorites: St. Francis, Cakebread, The Caves, Buonchristiana, The Iron Horse - absolutely beautiful views, and Foppiano. Restaurants: 3 favorites - Risibisi, HB&G, Juicy Pig and Pieology.
Activities: Armstong Redwoods Reserve.

Lovely, serene, comfortable retreat in Santa Rosa!
We just concluded a 6 night stay at this home in Santa Rosa. What a treat to be able to stay in such a lovely home. Everything was comfortable, livable and convenient. The property is located on top of a hill of an established and supremely charming area of Santa Rosa. The views from this hilltop perch were awe inspiring! The grounds were full of cozy nooks with an abundance of fruit trees and vistas from every corner! Inside the home was just as lovely, from a well-equipped farmhouse kitchen, to beautifully upholstered overstuffed furniture, to comfortable beds in all three bedrooms. The location was convenient to world-class mountain biking and running trails as well as wine country on the other spectrum. The owners were easy and kind to work with too! We would love to visit again. We rate this 5 stars!

Breathtaking Views
We had a perfect stay at this gorgeous home. The views are absolutely stunning. The decor is beautiful. The beds are new and luxurious. The outdoor area is perfect for romantic al fresco dining. This is a great place to stay with children or for an adult weekend away. You cannot go wrong with these lovely accommodations. I can't wait to go back.

Wonderful retreat
A lovely, well equipped, home with phenomenal views. The gardens surrounding the pool made it seem like you were in Tuscany. The owners were so cordial and accommodating. Well appointed while still being comfortable and welcoming. We would highly recommend

Well maintained, great location
Rented Chill Hill for a combination NASCAR and wine country get away. Two couples. Had a great time. This home does not disappoint. While the pool is not heated, it's great for a cool off and relax after being out in 80+ degree weather. Hot tub also great. This house is convenient to grocery in Santa Rosa as well as a plethora of wineries in the Santa Rosa and Healdsburg area. Easy 5 min drive to the 101 freeway. I would recommend highly.

We love coming up to Sonoma Wine Country from San Jose and usually stay at Hotel Healdsburg, which we love. This time, we brought two friends along and opted for a home rental so we could all hang out together. Our stay was beyond perfect. The house has a great feel, an open layout (the second floor bedrooms are completely separated from the downstairs master and living areas), and the vibe is like a little private resort. The decor is best described as gorgeous casual with asian accents in the downstairs areas. The outdoor area is huge, with teak seating, a beautiful private swimming pool, fern garden, outdoor bed, and killer dining pavilion with breathtaking views, set beside a fruit filled lemon tree. We loved picking the oranges and cooking in the kitchen. The farm table in the kitchen is AMAZING.
The best part of the house was the location. We could get to Healdsburg and all of our favorite Sonoma County wineries in less than 15 minutes, but we could go down the hill and into town for coffee, dinner, and shopping in only 5.
The owners were helpful and easy to deal with. They e-mailed us a list of their favorite local spots ahead of time and we were able to make reservations before heading up to wine country. Their tips were amazing. We loved going out and discovering new places. And we loved hanging out at the beautiful 'resort'. It was a great week. We can't wait to come back!

The best of everything
You know when you are staying at a well loved home and it feels like you have been invited to stay with friends. There is a relaxed comfort to this fine, spectacularly located home. I would not change one inch of it. Lots of light, beautiful flow, panoramic windows to a western vineyard and mountain sunset view, and a walkout to a pool, with el fresco dining, and fresh citrus fruit trees. If it's still available, we won't settle for anything else should we return to the area. Our heartfelt thank you to Roy and Johnna for our time there.

Wonderful home in a nice area with an incredible yard/pool! The view is amazing!
We needed a "second home" that was pet friendly for a long weekend with out of town guests that included a pool for the kids. This home was all we could have asked for and more! the open floor plan with amazing windows and large kitchen provided a great space for the family to gather around and play games and eat- especially some of the amazing fruit from the backyard. We all enjoyed relaxing by the pool and the awesome view- it was so nice to feel so isolated and private, yet be so close to everything we needed/wanted to do. The decor was unique and fun, yet classy at the same time. Only downsides were the hot tub not working and the lack of a regular coffee maker/tea kettle in the kitchen. Regardless, we plan on being back!
