This property looks even better in person! The sunroom was a beautiful place to hangout and enjoy the view. The kitchen is large & very well equipped; there was an espresso machine! There was even a bike rack for us to store our bikes, it was perfect for our cycling group.

We stayed for six nights and had a great time! The views are amazing and the house is spacious, perfect for our needs. We enjoyed the beach access and kayaks. The loft was perfect for our 9 year old. Definitely recommend!

Wow! This location has the most incredible views and gardens! The pictures do not due it justice (as most do not). Saw Orcas right off our private beach. Hummingbirds everywhere. Eagles, owls….i could go on. What a relaxing get-away for our family! Was limited to a five-star rating but the experience was better than that. Bravo!!

Location is gorgeous. Hosts very attentive when I reached out about a small issue. Enjoyed our stay

While our trip didn't start off as either my family or the owners wanted or expected (cleaners had not finished the home), Joan was immediately available and communicating with me to make it right and followed through with everything as promised. As you can tell from the photos, the views from this home are spectacular, regardless of weather. We saw seals, orcas, all types of birds and chipmunks. The kitchen has everything you need to cook your meals including spices...and 3 different coffee makers including an espresso machine. There are tons of games, puzzles and books for your entertainment. The surrounding neighborhood is lovely. The walk down to the beach is pretty steep and can be slippery, but doable with assistance for even my 80 year old mother in law. If you require everything to be new and modern, take note that this is an older home with older, but comfortable and functional furnishings. My family of teens, plus an octegenarian, enjoyed our time at this beautiful home. Thanks, Joan!

Had a fantastic stay. The property is as described (though the photos don't do it justice). Comfortable and well stocked. We even had an otter visitor this morning. Would recommend for a quiet relaxing stay.

This house is right on the water with amazing views. The sunroom is a wonderful place to relax and chat regardless of the weather. The home is in the rain shadow. So, it gets less rain than areas further south. We all enjoyed the well equipped home and excellent location. You can walk to Port Ludlow via a neighborhood trail. It's a very sweet town and great home to stay in!

We recently stayed at this wonderful house and it exceeded all our expectations. The location was perfect, and the size of the house was just right for our family.
The kitchen was impressively stocked with everything we needed and more. It was a pleasant surprise to find ample extras of essentials like towels, garbage bags, and toilet paper, which is not always the case in rented houses.
Our family absolutely loved the yard and the solarium. It provided the perfect space for relaxation and enjoyment, and we spent a lot of time there during our stay.
Overall, our experience was fantastic, and we’re already planning our next trip back. Highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a comfortable and well-equipped vacation rental.

We've stayed at this house twice and think it's great! You can't beat the location and views. We love to sit on the porch and watch the boats go by all day long. We look forward to coming back again.

Wonderful stay, well stocked kitchen managed to cook Thanksgiving dinner couldn’t find a rolling pin for pies but everything else was good. The two steps inside the house and low toilets can be a problem for folks with limited mobility. Good selection of games didn’t use any of the ones we brought. Several pairs of binoculars and a telescope fun to watch ships and see where they are going.

Easy to follow directions to a spacious home with a great view. We loved the sun room. Kitchen nicely equipped & book helped up to setup larger table.

Our group of 7 enjoyed the property immensely! Favorites included the birds and the beach at low tide. We spent a few days away (one exploring the Olympic peninsula and another trekking to Seattle), but it was so nice to return to this home. It was very comfortable, even for our daughter in a wheelchair. Though the home is not fully accessible, the few steps into the front door and down onto the living room were no problem for us to navigate. The solarium and deck were so wonderful, but the whole house is situated for great views from nearly everywhere. The upstairs loft space is expertly designed and was perfect for our boys (13 and 10).
We had a few little hiccups that the hosts responded to quickly, so there was no impact to our relaxing vacation.
The steps to the beach were a little treacherous for the adults, but the boys spent hours back and forth with buckets of shells.
A really beautiful place! We will definitely be coming back!

We loved this place so much we have already booked it again! The location is amazing, with wonderful views of the water and boats going by. The outside area is so calming and welcoming. The house itself is very nice and I don’t think the pictures do it justice. It was clean, well set up, and very comfortable. I definitely recommend staying here.

Our family has a very wonderful experience staying in this home. The view of the beach from the solarium and deck is spectacular. We watched the cruise ships and sailboats passing by, the eagles soaring in the sky,
and hummingbirds flying to the feeder for the nectar. Early in the evening, we saw two deers munching on the bright red crocosmia flowers. It was so much fun watching them. The kitchen is well stocked and organized and prepared most of our meals there. The two kayaks and the crab pots are a plus to use.
Overall, the house is very clean, spacious, and has all the amenities needed. Jay and Joan are both very nice, accomodating hosts. Overall, we truly enjoyed our short
stay and planning to come back again sometime.

The house and the view were fabulous! A great deck area for reading, big table for outdoor breakfast and a lounging area on a second terrace. Hummingbirds galore in the beautiful landscaped yard! Plenty of games and TVs for evenings together.
We enjoyed it all. You should know that the way down the cliff the the kayaks requires good footwear!

Our family (5 adults 2 children) used this home as base of activity on our annual family get away. A magnificent home, overlooking the Puget Sound. The home was well stocked, clean, and checking in was as easy as it gets.
The views are amazing from the sunroom or large deck. We really enjoyed the marine traffic, ranging from pleasure boats to submarines.
Very accessible to area attractions. There is plenty to do and we spent hours on the beach, exploring Port Townsend, the rainforests, and other places. We certainly enjoyed our stay and would like to visit again.
Highly Recommended!!

We had a great time at this beautiful house with a spectacular view. The house is spacious with several very large bedrooms, a living room and kitchen with great views, and even an upstairs office area along with a bedroom. We particularly loved the large deck and spectacular views, watching cruise ships pass by on their way to Alaska and seeing bald eagles perch in the nearby trees. The all-glass three seasons room (maybe a four seasons room - with the electric heater) was another highlight. We spent days exploring Port Townsend, the nearby beaches and parks, and the excellent Finnriver cidery, which is right down the road. Highly recommended.

Everything about this stay was top notch! The hosts were very responsive from the moment we inquired about availability. The property feels like a home and not a rental. The solarium makes this a perfect place for a winter getaway. The views were more than pictures give credit. The home was stocked with everything needed to make meals for large groups. Location was easy to find and minutes from services/stores. We will return here for sure! This was a fantastic find!

The house is on a bluff overlooking the sound and does not disappoint. It has anything you need and then some, and we got to see a pair of bald eagles playing over the water. Another lovely start at this charming home!

Wonderful weekend getaway
The 180 degree view is exactly and described and lovely. The 1980s style house was clean and relatively accessible for older folk, though there are steps in the sunken living room. Our family thoroughly enjoyed this layout.
Lots of coffee options and good stuff in the pantry.
Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Gorgeous views and beach.
Well appointed property. Pleasantly surprised at how well it was stocked - usually it’s bare minimums with rentals, but this place had everything you might need. Extra linens. Cleaning supplies, kitchen utensils, games, puzzles etc.
We didn’t need anything we weren’t able to find.

Peaceful waterfront getaway
Joan and Jay's place was perfect for our group. The house was immaculate and, as others have mentioned, even nicer than the photos reflect. The two larger bedrooms and the kitchen and living room pretty much have a solid wall of windows looking out over the water. Spectacular view and tons of light. And we really appreciated the overall layout of the house. The house extends along the length of the bluff, with the living room and kitchen at one end, and the main bedrooms toward the other end. Made it really easy for folks to be up and talking while others were sleeping at the other end of the house. Really nice if you're staying with a group. A few more pros: really quiet neighborhood, within easy driving distance of Port Townsend for day trips, really well-stocked kitchen, an amazing sun room looking over the water, and great communication with Joan and Jay.

Large waterfront home
Our family stayed over the Christmas holidays. The kitchen was well equipped for making family meals. Large variety of TV viewing options. Bedrooms ver comfortable. Beautiful view, watched the subs come and go. Our party included older adults who had extreme difficulties with the 1970’s toilets. The home would be near perfect for all with small investment in ADA toilets.
