The view is amazing! Having the beach right there, with tide pools, is so fun! The layout works great for small family groupings within our larger family. Kitchen is very well stocked and beds are very comfortable. Our third time here and we will be back!

The perfect hidden gem. We absolutely loved this place. Couldn’t be happier with the house, location, easy beach access and excellent communication and accommodations. We are already planning our next trip back. Lookin for a place to relax? I highly recommend looking no further. Thanks so much for letting us stay.

We felt so blessed to be able to stay in this wonderful home on the Hood Canal… a taste of what it would be like to have a generational waterfront vacation home that we have not been able to acquire on our own. It was perfect for our extended family of 10. It was private and beautiful, comfortable and well equipped, and a luxury to be on a sandy beach for the little ones to dig/play in the sand. On our second day, our 3 year old said “I want to go play sand again”! We loved it!!

We gathered from Alaska, Oregon, Colorado and Port Townsend Washington for my son's 50th birthday. My youngest son and his wife blessed me with 3 beautiful granddaughters. We enjoyed the beach house and saw river otters, a hawk, 2 submarines, seals, porpoise and eagles. At Ludlow falls, firemen had a practice rescue. Girls attempted CPR on a dummy. We now have awesome memories.

What a wonderful place. The view and access to the beach was great. The neighborhood was nice and quiet. We had one question on the first day for Ann and she answered her phone right away and got things figured out. We would definitely stay again.

We love to stay at this home! We have stayed here 4 times. I love cooking in the kitchen and being able to enjoy the wonderful view! The master bedroom and downstairs also has this beautiful view. My grandchildren sit looking out the windows for hours enjoying the wildlife and beauty of the waves. The downstairs apartment is a wonderful bonus for this home. So much room for our large family! Beautiful home!

We have been vacationing together for twenty years, and we are all in agreement that this was the best house yet.
We are considering it for next year also.

Me and 8 other friends visited olympic national park with this home being at right location for us to travel all the parts of national park. The location of the house itself is very ideal and lot of great views directly from the house. The house is very spacious with access to private beach. I would definitely recommend and be back to enjoy the stay.

I rented this house for a 3 night stay with family and friends. It was clean, comfortable, spacious for all 9 of us and had the most amazing view. We all really enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be back in the future.

We are a large multigenerational family who has now enjoyed Ann’s home for 8 years. She has always been a delight to work with, keeping us in the loop about anything we may need to navigate around during our stay. The view from almost every room in her home never ceases to take our breath away…from the moment you open the front door, BAM!! It’s right there, just waiting for you. One of our favorite things about Ann’s home is watching the subs from Bangor being escorted in and out across the canal. Sadly, this year there was very little activity to be seen. We did enjoy watching some porpoises frolicking out in front, a sea otter or 2 and an eagle here and there on the lookout to snatch another’s catch of the day..
If you’re looking for a place to just relax for a week and do nothing, this could be your new favorite place. Our days are spent on the beach until there is no more beach. Sand castles, beach walks looking for beach glass, paddle boarding, kayaking, jumping from “Whale Rock” when the tide comes in, floating on floaties, our yearly treasure hunt on the beach complete with a pirate!! Some of our littles enjoyed early morning fishing from the shore or out in the kayak and were excited to catch and release little fist!!
When the lack of beach does force us inside, we have fun playing board games, enjoying root beer floats or setting up Italian Soda making stations. Cousin
sleepovers in one of the rooms and movie nights are
always a hit, too!!

This was our family’s second stay. This home works perfectly for the adults and children in our group. What we like most are the two kitchens for food prep and the beautiful views and deck to relax on. The grandsons loved the beach and spent the whole day playing in the sand and searching tide pools. We saw porpoise, sea otters and fish from the deck every morning. The home is spacious and very comfortable. We have already planned our stay for next year. We have made great memories here.

Lovely home overlooking Hood Canal with walls of windows and a deck to view the commercial and natural activity, like eagles and otters, throughout the day as well as beach access. The home is large with accommodations for families, providing personal as well as group space. We also enjoyed neighboring communities and activities, including the ciders in Finn River, the short hike to a Waterville, and an afternoon trip to Port Townsend. We highly recommend this lovely home and location.

The house was spacious! We had 4 couples and a 17 month old in our group. Each couple had their own bedroom and bathroom (a big plus!). One of the beds downstairs is a king. It's listed as queen size in the vrbo information. (that was also a plus) Beds were comfortable. Lots of fluffy towels in the bathrooms.
The deck is absolutely AMAZING, the view is gorgeous. We watched fireworks from all around the bay area. We saw the family of otters, seals, dolphin, a bald eagle, a raccoon, starfish, jellyfish, crab, submarines, a battleship and a cargo ship all from the deck. It was interesting to watch the tide go in and out, during low tide it was fun to walk the beach in both directions.
Tons of pots and pans to cook with in the kitchen. The kitchen could use a deep cleaning (crumbs in the cupboards) and organization of the items available. The fridge was clean! A few basics were provided: K-cups, hot tea bags, spices and oil. You will definitely want to grocery shop before arriving in Port Ludlow. Not much to the town. The coffee shop is good (and busy).
Had a wonderful time, made lots of memories that we'll treasure!

Our stay was wonderful! It was clean and comfortable, right on the beach, and the views were amazing. Accommodations were perfect for our family. We love the area and hope to stay again someday.

It was a great house for our three families.

Several high school friends have a retreat every year and this was a perfect place for 5 adults ; we each had own bedroom and bath! Spacious home with large rooms, big deck overlooking the hood canal to watch sea otters, seals, and many birds. The kitchen was extremely well equipped with every appliance and plenty of dishes. There was a few places to hike as well as walking the beach at low tide. Comfortable beds. A little outdated but very clean. Would be a good place for families as well.

Beautiful 270 degree view from inside and from the deck. Easy access to the beach. Wonderful vantage for birding. Well equipped kitchen, and comfortable living room. Fabulous place for a family gathering.

Our family (6 adults, 1 teenager and 2 kids) enjoyed a wonderful 4 night stay in this beautiful home. We celebrated Easter, birthdays and spring break. We loved the view and the spacious, well stocked home. We loved watching the sealions, otters, and eagles. Exploring the beach and seeing crab, tons of shells and the amazing large, purple starfish was very fun. We hope to return for another visit next year. Thank you Anne for all you have done to make your home a welcoming retreat.

Main floor has a flexible open living area with kitchen, all overlooking a magnificent salt-water view. Our group of seven gathered here during a cold January in 2023 and kept warm and cozy while watching otters, various birds, King tides, and even snow. The kitchen is well stocked with most items needed to cook and serve meals, and even to prepare and bake sweets. We loved the private bedrooms and plentiful bathrooms. All in all, a wonderful venue.

We were a family group for Thanksgiving and loved the house. It is very well furnished with helpful extras like detergent, paper towels, binoculars, etc. The location and view are fantastic and all rooms and beds are very comfortable.

Home away from home. More to offer than you can see. Lots of space for quiet times or family to get together. Check the tides, we had very little beach except at midnight. Kitchen has lots of space to work together on meals. Lots of pots and pans. Everything there to prepare big meals. Quiet neighborhood, easy walk are, check out the community park.

The view of Hood Canal is wonderful. We had some plumbing issues which were finally resolved. Sunken living room and steps to basement proved a challenge for some, but we managed. Lots of room for a group.

This is the second time we have stayed at this property. Needless to say, we will be staying again. The house is very spacious the view is out of this world the beach is wonderful. The home was well stocked with pans plates everything you would want to cook with and the furniture and beds comfortable. We plan to return.
