We absolutely loved our stay! It was cozy, warm, peaceful and quiet, secluded from the city. We were amazed at all the wonderful details and personal touches! The surprises were in every room... beautiful bouquet of flowers, wine, pumpkin cake, chocolate, frig of goodies, foot baths for 2... the list goes on! Guests are spoiled here! Lovely flowers and amazing grounds, the setting and the accommodations are above and beyond expectations. We appreciate the thoughtfulness in all the details. Thank you Leslie and Don!

This cozy "barndominium" didn't disappoint. Nestled away down a private drive alongside the white post fence, this peaceful retreat was everything we could have asked for and more. We were greeted with fresh baked goods and a few other surprises. The cottage decor was charming and relaxing. It was stocked with everything we needed. We spent nights by the fire pit and days visiting local lake and water for some paddleboarding and got in a few local hikes as well. Morning coffees were shared with a doe and her fawn, but always followed up by a buck. If that's not a great way to start a day, I'm not sure what is. Leslie was a perfect host and great source for local "to-do's". And a big thank you to the "local handyman", you know who you are. We would definitely stay her again and recommend it to our friends who want to get away for a relaxing recharge.

The personalized touch of this place made it one of my favorites, hands down.

This was the best-stocked short-term rental we've experienced. Which was great because we were under the weather and mostly felt like lazing about. Bonus points for a comfy couch and bed. The only downside is a lack of windows and natural light. Quiet, peaceful location a short drive from the Kingston ferry terminal.

This is a beautiful, peaceful and impeccably clean place to stay and a great base from which to explore the Olympic Peninsula! Leslie and Don take so much care to make sure guests feel welcome, and communication about everything from how to get there to where to find extra firewood was excellent. The kitchen is well-stocked and great for anyone who likes to cook. Highly recommended!

Beautiful setting and a good location for exploring the area. Extra touches with decorations and food make this an unsurpassed VRBO stay. Definitely the best stocked kitchen we have had access to. The hosts even provided a travel toothbrush/paste which was appreciated as I forgot my own. Comfortable bed and not asking for too much extra work/tasks before we left (as with some rentals). Easy process for check-in and check-out. Overall, a very pleasant retreat as a couple. We will recommend this to our friends.

We had a great stay and enjoyed our visit at this stand alone barn for our anniversary celebration. Leslie has incredible detail and nice personal touches, including her baking a bunt cake, red wine, water, cheese/ crackers and chocolate teuffles! We made this our home while checking out the beautiful sites to see around the Olympic Peninsula which has so much to offer! Hope to return someday amd thank you again!

Had a pleasant stay at the Barn House. Electric company cut power for some work nearby, but Don and Leslie had a generator and electrical set up to keep a few lights on and the fridge running. Nice quiet rural location.

My girlfriend and I were in the PNW on a hiking trip and decided to book this cozy barn as a place to stay in lieu of camping. We loved the barn house and all of the little things that made our stay that much more enjoyable. The hosts provided a wonderful bottle of wine, a banana bread bunt cake and all of the necessary little things that made cooking at the house enjoyable. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay!

What a wonderful property hosted by amazing owners who clearly love sharing their place. Beautiful, quiet retreat with all the amenities made our getaway feel like we were welcomed into someone’s home. Extra special touches throughout, including a delicious birthday cake and treats, greeted us upon arrival. We are looking forward to returning soon. Highly recommend staying here.

This cottage tucked inside a charming barn, down a drive that looks like an opening scene from a romantic movie, was just what we were looking for to complete the last five days of a two week trip. The table was set with fresh flowers and a 4th of July theme. There was fresh fruit, banana bread and snacks welcoming us after a long drive. There were also items for breakfast, so there was no need to make a dash out for groceries. The kitchen was very nice. Leslie certainly made us feel welcome with her special touches as if we were family.
I wanted to be nestled in a quiet part of the peninsula, but as an older couple, not too remote. This was perfect for us as we wanted to be able to wander around and just relax right where we were and also to explore the nearby towns and parts of Olympic National Park. Leslie has many brochures for the area and a notebook with suggestions and a menu for many area restaurants. We went to several of them. There is a nice assortment of books and many comfortable spots for reading inside and out. I hope we are able to visit the area again as there is so much to see and do and especially since we have found this wonderful place to stay.
Stayed 4 nights in early July 2023.

We were overwhelmed with all the amenities! It was a PERFECT stay and we loved everything about the barn. The location was great and all the little, tender-loving touches were amazing. We enjoyed the banana bread, wine, breakfast items, coffee, hot chocolate, and many other treats!
We would highly recommend this hidden gem to anyone looking for a beautiful place to rest and regenerate from all the hustle and bustle in life.
It was simply PERFECT!!

My girlfriend and I had a great stay at Leslie’s barn house. Very quiet and peaceful. Incredibly neat renovated barn house into a small mother in law type house. Leslie knew it was my GFs birthday and they had a little birthday cake and ‘happy birthday’ sign set up when we checked in. We are already talking about booking again. Can’t recommend this house enough.

Leslie goes the extra mile to make sure your stay is relaxing and comfortable. The grounds and chalet are gorgeous and though feel far away from everywhere, not far from anything you may want or need. Many extra, kind and sweet gestures of chocolates, breakfast starters, huge selection of coffee styles, and loads of usual cooking condiments & spices so cooking in was stress free.
Can’t wait to get back there.

We have stayed at several vrbo rentals around western Washington and this one is by far our favorite! This was our second visit and we are hoping to make it a yearly tradition. The attention to detail was so impressive and they really provide everything you’d need to have a wonderfully cozy experience!

This is a gem of a place. The hosts have thought of everything with an eye for detail. I was seeking a quiet space to rest and to be in nature and this property delivers. There are so many special touches here, from wine and cheese on arrival to cleverly placed chocolates upstairs. The kitchen has every cooking item you might need down to well-seasoned cast iron pans and a crock pot. The couch is super comfortable with plenty of room to stretch out and watch a movie or nap. I acutely spent more time in front of the wood burning stove which was the perfect place to sip my morning coffee. There is plenty of lighting throughout this converted barn. The loft bedroom is super spacious and the bed is comfortable with plenty of pillows. Lots of outdoor space to sit or walk around with views of the water or mountains. Whether a solo retreat or with a friend or significant other this is a delightful place. I look forward to coming back.

This was our second time visiting the barn house. Yes, it looks like a picturesque barn as you drive up, but on the inside it is a perfectly warm little cottage. Every little detail has been thought of and is ready for visitors. There's gorgeous little treats throughout the house the more we explored. Movies, coffee, a full kitchen, wood for the stove, even a basketball to shoot hoops... Everything is here! Communication with the owner was always prompt. We are grateful for the wonder hospitality here!

I would say the Barnhouse was as advertised but it was honestly better. I loved every single aspect of this home. The long lit driveway, the beautiful surroundings, the exceptionally decorated interior, the sweet and thoughtful touches, including fresh bread and many drink choices, comfy blankets to curl up in, etc. If you are thinking about it, just do it! I promise you won't regret it! Thank you Leslie and Don.
