About this house rental
2600 SF single family home in a very private setting, only five homes on this waterfront with a park at the end. The home has an open floor plan with a gas fireplace, 3 bedrooms, 2-1/2 baths It has bay views from most every room. Completely furnished , sleeping is 1 king bed, 1 queen and 2 twin beds.
Beautiful out door deck with patio furniture a propane grill and good size fenced in lawn. Fully equipped kitchen with gas stove, 2 ovens and dishwasher, large island and two separate sinks. Laundry room with high end washer and dryer. Internet and cable with 2 flat screen TV's.
While it is directly on the water, accessing the beach from our house is challenging. It is about 10 feet down. There are other places to get down to it. Also there are train tracks about 1/2 mile from the home. You can't really hear the train but occasionally the horn can be heard.
I do have a rental unit over the garage, it is not attached and you will probably never see the renter.
This is a great area for outdoor activities: walking, hiking, golfing, kayaking, clam digging, paddle boarding. Or just enjoy the home and views, play games watch movies and RELAX! Great for families, friends get away''s, or a girls or guys weekend.

We were 5 persons in this well-equipped, clean and comfortable place. We had everything we needed. The house was beautiful with a fantastic outdoor setting. We had amazing sunsets sitting on the patio. Absolutely recommended. If we come back this would be our choice again.

Great house and location. We did enjoy our stay. The bay is very shallow and mostly bare and at low tide with the sun out, the smell of decay and seaweed is a little overwhelming with a wind from the west. 3 of us adults stayed inside during the low tides, the other friend liked the smell. The house has no air conditioning in the back two rooms and it gets a bit too hot to sleep until late at night. We had a smokey night and could not open the windows for fresh cold air.

The property was a great fit for us. We relaxed and watched the tide roll in/out and enjoyed beautiful sunsets. It’s minutes from birch bay and the Canada border. The grounds were lovely and the house very clean and in great shape. The owner was very responsive to our questions. I highly recommend staying at this beachfront delight

Walk through the door and the view immediately makes you happy. The open space was perfect for visiting with family. The deck was great for sitting, enjoying the view while grilling dinner. Would definitely stay here again!

Floors weren’t mopped, furniture was worn and missing pieces/broken. Dirty utensils in the bin. Not what I was expecting.

Loved our visit in this wonderful home. Very comfortable and all that we needed plus more! Gorgeous views. Owner went above and beyond to deck out the home for Christmas. Thank you and we hope to be back.

We walked into a sparkling clean, large living room and kitchen with a breathtaking view. Bedrooms did not disappoint. The beds were comfortable with quality linens.
3 well appointed bathrooms.
This Verbo was a home, a perfect place to relax, unwind and just enjoy.

This property is just as described. Clean, beautiful, and perfect for two couples but also room for two additional people. The view from the deck was spectacular where enjoyed an afternoon cocktail. Access to downtown Blaine was close by car. Owner was very responsive to our questions.

This VRBO was wonderful, very comfortable & in a beautiful, quiet waterfront setting. Nicely appointed with comfortable beds, plentiful linens & air conditioning. Very nicely located close to the border crossing into Canada & a great launching point to explore so many fabulous areas in northwest Washington. I hope we come back again someday!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this spacious, wonderful beach home! Great westerly view that took our breaths away! We enjoyed meeting the caretaker, who was graciously available to offer suggestions on places to go and things to do. We looked forward to the friendly neighborhood cat who made the rounds and stopped by to visit. The house was so conveniently located - fun side trips to Fairhaven, downtown Blaine, Birch Bay, and Richmond, Canada. Thank you to Martha and Jon for sharing this beachside gem with us!

What a lovely way to relax in a beautiful and peaceful setting. This morning we woke to a spectacular double rainbow over the water. We saw eagles, seals, geese, and many birds. The house is charming and comfortable and the sunsets are dramatic.

This place was an absolute joy to stay. I would plan a whole another vacation there just to stay at this location. We loved being on the bay and the weather was perfect. Very cute location close to town.

Pros: Great location, very clean, friendly renter that was super helpful, spacious, pretty views, comfortable beds, good internet and just a neat setting.
Cons: no real beach access close to the house and even if there was it was pretty muddy. I had a different impression of the access from the site. Second, the lack of AC (or a quality AC) in the guest rooms made it so we had to open the windows at night. Unfortunately in order to get the cool air you have to put up with the outside lighting near the garage, loud birds in the morning and a really noisy train at night. It was probably the only real detractor.
Still, it was a great spot and overall we had a great time there with our family.

The house was beautiful and very comfortable for 5 adults. We had a great week - visited Vancouver, BC, Mount Baker, and sailed on the Salish Sea out of Bellingham. There were bald eagles, herons, and other birds on the bay every day. A great time was had by all.

After an initial check in issue which was a VRBO problem, the stay was excellent. Perfect for our siblings and spouses aged 67-84. We enjoyed a relaxing time, cooked in and ate out. Went to Canada one day.
Would be good to put light blocking curtains in the bedroom with two beds.
Lovely stay.

The location was awesome and the accommodations were EXCELLENT! Only thing that was a bit of a disappointment was that the hot tub was not working. We will be back!

This is our second time staying here and our group of 4 adults and 1 dog had a relaxing stay! Great layout and space to cook, play board games, go for walks and let our dog out in the fenced yard. We had a great time!

This a well-appointed and beautiful home right on the water. It was the perfect setting for our Thanksgiving getaway. The quaint downtown area of Blaine is just a short drive.

Woke up to Bald Eagles and more ducks than I could count. We enjoyed our stay in Blaine. There were a few areas in need of repair... crack on kitchen island counter, cracks in master bath floor and no hot water in 1 of the mater bath sinks. All in all great location.

We had a great 7 night stay! Kids loved it! We had plenty of room to spread out. I was able to cook meals easily and there was ample seating. I liked the front of the house was fenced in and kids could run around. House and some appliances are a little dated, but it didn’t impact our stay. The only issue I had was master king sized bed was more than a little worn. I did have back issues every night due to the “dip”. We tried rotating it and that helped a little for 1 night then the dip settled again. Otherwise the house was perfect for our needs.

Lovely property. Loved the open space and views of the harbor. The sunsets were amazing. Enjoyed the walks through Montfort Park and the surrounding area. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to make several meals. I especially enjoyed grilling out on the deck. Blaine was a great place to make home base for our Northwest vacation. We highly recommend this home and Blaine.

Amazing beautiful home! Quiet and peaceful. Lovely features and fixtures, including very nice dishes and flatware, etc. In so many rentals we'll find nasty, stained, or mismatched dishes and glasses. Not so here! It was also nice to not find a bunch of old leftover food in the fridge, and the bedroom drawers and closets were not full of someone else's stuff! Loved the white picket fence, the deck, and the mixture of antiques and comfy furniture. All that made this place so homey! We stayed 8 days and met the neighbors. Walked the trails, and ate at the Black Forest Steak House twice, and Packers once. Six out of eight of our days ended with astonishing SUNSETS! We'll be back!

We really enjoyed our stay. The home was very comfortable, location outstanding, neighbors friendly, and views are spectacular! We enjoyed walking the many trails in nearby parks, walking to downtown Blaine, and exploring the beautiful PNW. Martha was very communicative and available- yet we really didn’t need to ask for anything! She was very welcoming.

Peaceful getaway
This is such a beautiful, quiet property. We were very comfortable throughout our stay. Would only note that there is no actual beach access that we could find nearby but certainly an unbeatable view!

Perfect as a base camp for exploring the region; peaceful, quiet (aside from the occasional train that runs by about a half-mile away), and very homey. Beautiful suns

The home fit our needs perfectly: three bedrooms and bathrooms no stairs, and a spectacular water view. The Drayton Harbor Oyster House close by made our time at Blaine House even better. Wonderful stay.

Perfect Holiday Getaway
The moment we walked in to Martha & Jonathan home we knew we picked the perfect home for a relaxing holiday. The home is located on a quite street with a breathtaking view of the water. The snow started coming down on Christmas Eve & the house was decorated for the holiday's we couldn't have asked for a more picturesque setting. The kitchen is well stocked so we could enjoy cooking our holiday dinner. We received an email from Martha to make sure we had everything we need, that was very kind of Martha to check in during our stay.
Thank you Martha & Jonathan for sharing your home! We will definitely be back

Peaceful and serene
It was Thanksgiving weekend. We needed a quiet getaway and we found it here. We knew it was going to rain but that didn’t keep us from enjoying the lovely home. Had excellent communication with the owner. Blaine is a wonderful town to visit. So glad we decided to come here for our hideaway!,

Great place to relax
My wife and I chose to make Blaine our most northern stop on our road trip up the Pacific coast of California, Oregon, and Washington. This three bedroom, three bath, beach house was perfect for us. The furnishings are tasteful and the view was spectacular. We found several good eating spots both in Blaine and in nearby Bellingham. We played golf at Loomis Trails and found it to be challenging, but beautiful. We hope to return at some later time.

A beautiful home with gorgeous views. Very private and a wonderful place to stay with family. I especially liked we were all on one floor. The fenced in yard gave us tge opportunity to give our child some freedom to explore. Loved this place!
