The house surpassed our expectations. Great views from many windows. Pictures don't do it justice. The walk to the run was shorter than expected and the hot tub was hotter than expected (about 10 degrees hotter than what the thermostat says.) It's a regular drip coffeemaker, if you're wondering.

The rustic ski cabin was spacious and met our needs during our stay at Killington. Everything worked as advertised. Our host communicated well. The hot tub was a great asset after a long day on the mountain!

Traditional ski in/ski out, hot tub under the stars, it’s all about location. Family and dogs loved it, Michael (host) made everything very easy.

The house was perfect for a group of 4 friends for a weekend ski trip. We each had our own room and there was plenty of space to spread out. Good location a short walk to the trails. Something had gotten into the trash before we got there and the firewood was running low, but the owner was very responsive and had someone clean up and dig out some more firewood by the time we returned from the slopes on our first day.

Great location. Very comfortable and warm house. Had several area wide power outages over the weekend but Michael was very responsive and although not much he could do about them, he was great about keeping us up to date and the wood stove provide more than adequate heat.

House location was great. Plenty of room for 8 of us.

A very beautiful house, there were four families and at the same time there was enough space, very large windows. Very close and convenient to get to the ski slopes. We will recommend it to our friends and also want to return there again. Have a very good time.

Our group had only good things to say about this property! Very rustic/ski lodge vibes. We were a group of 9 adults, and it fit us perfectly. The location was amazing, and we lucked out and we’re able to take advantage of the ski on/ski off trail. 10/10 would recommend and we can’t wait to stay here again!

This rustic timber frame home is very unique and fun to stay at. You are immersed in the feeling of being on a mountain side in a modern cabin, yet have all the amenities you need to feel at home. The beds are very comfortable and the wood stove warms the home. Everyone enjoyed their time and Michael was super easy to work with. This was a just the perfect place for our family to stay.

Loved the skiing at Killington. The house’s location is perfect: walk down driveway and up the road, and slap on your skis. You’ll literally walk more down the driveway than up the road. The house has the rooms well spread out so the adults could have our space and the teens theirs. Michael was very responsive.

We had a great vacation at this house. The pictures do not do it justice - it is really lovely, rustic, and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped, the couches comfortable, lots of book and games. We enjoyed the hot tub. The ski in ski out is not the easist(stairs, steep driveway & a few hundred foor walk), but we all did it! It was much easier after the 18 inches of snow that fell.

Great ski house
Overall a wonderful experience. The wood burner gave a nice cozy feel to the house. The only bad thing was not enough snow so couldn't ski from the house but it was a short trip to the slopes.. Would love to stay again!

Seluded stay on the mountainside
Nice secluded stay at huge house on the mountainside. Peaceful area, quiet, lots of hiking nearby, hot tub was great enjoyed it 1-2 times every day!

Killington is a great ski/outdoor resort area! During the week we stayed we ventured north to Burlington- south to Weston-east to Saint Johnsbury!
Our host Michael was very easy to reach and responded promptly!
The house is as described... sitting on the side of the mountain. Lots of stairs inside and out! Beds were comfortable. Kitchen well stocked. Hot tub was a nice feature.
Some minor concerns were the dryer took forever to dry but the owner was aware and knew he needed to look into it. The showers were small but certainly usable. Slight musty smell in the lower level bedrooms again still usable though. Overall we completely enjoyed our Killington mountain vacation!

The house and location was everything that we were hoping for. Excellent privacy, super fast and reliable Internet, plenty of space and fully equipped. We wanted for nothing. The peace and quiet was serene and blissful yet the house was close enough to golf, kayaking and the access road to be convenient, too. Just a perfect summer respite and one we highly recommend.

Great fall getaway
Great location- perched on the side of the mountain, easy access to trails for hiking (wasn't ski season for us) . House was clean, well-equipped and perfect for our quick 5 day getaway. Hot tub was clean and perfect. The owner was great with communications, responsive and helpful.
Covid precautions were good. Thanks for the great mini- vacation during foliage season in these strange times!

Settled in the mountain, the home was secluded, quiet, and offered peaceful views which was a nice escape from city living. Home was clean and cozy, and very spacious. Owner was very helpful, and I would not hesitate to return in any season. I highly recommend this property!

Great cabin for groups
Had a wonderful stay in late February 2020. Mountain was 100% open. House was clean, spacious, and well equipped. Kitchen has just about anything you could need to cook meals. We had a group of 9 and everyone had enough space, and not much complaints about sound travel through the house. The Home Stretch trail is a little bit of a walk from the house, but easily manageable. Michael was a great and responsive host. Would definitely stay again.

Large House - Walkable to Slope
The house was great. It fit my extended family comfortably. It was walkable to the Home Stretch slope. I would stay here again next year.

Our group of eleven greatly enjoyed our stay over MLK weekend (January 12-15, 2018) and the pictures on HomeAway do not do the property justice! The house has a great "cabin in the woods" romantic/rustic feel and was perfect for our group ski trip. We had wonderful access to Bear Mountain and could see the Skyeship Gondola Stage I from the hot tub.
The house has four bedrooms - two queens in the basement, one king on the second level, and two queens on the third level in one room, plus a fifth "alcove room" on the second floor with space for a single bed. We all had plenty of room to stretch out and sleep comfortably without being on top of each other.
The main level was well appointed - a spacious and well-equipped kitchen and the adjoining dining room table where we sat 10 comfortably and were able to squeeze in an 11th made shared meals easy. The main living room is a little cramped - maybe room for six on two couches - but not the end of the world, the wood burning stove was a great touch. The hot tub on the deck was fantastic and was the hit of the weekend (seats four comfortably), and the propane grill on the small deck was great to have as well!
The house is a little hard to find initially - the driveway really angles back on the right side - everyone missed it the first time even knowing it was there! Very quiet location though with a long driveway and plenty of parking - we fit 5 vehicles no problem.
Only knock is trail access - not exactly "ski in, ski out" but the Homestretch blue trail is about 500 feet or so walking distance from the house - entrance to the trail is unmarked, and if the trail is closed (like it was for us), you won't know it until you want to ski home later that afternoon to discover it's shut down. Not the end of the world, but made getting home at the end of the day a little tricky!
Overall a fantastic house and Michael was a very responsive host. We would not hesitate to stay here again in the future!

We stayed for a week in February with 7 people and really loved this place. It's about 200 feet walk down the driveway and up the street to the homestretch trail which takes you to the bottom of the SkyeShip gondola. The chalet has a huge, well equipped fully modern kitchen where we did alot of meal preparation after our ski days. There are 2 common areas (1 upstairs and 1 downstairs) with a beautiful wood stove. Nice large dinning table for big dinners or evenings of board games. The hot tub is beautiful !! All of the sleeping arrangements were comfortable and there were enough pillows and towels. Can't say enough good things about this spot - I plan to rent it again! It's great for groups of 6-8 who are looking for ski on ski off with a real chalet feel

The house was amazing. All the amenities you could want and Michael was a great host doing all he can to take care of us. We will do this over and over. I recommend for anyone coming to killington especially families.

Our party of eleven had a fantastic time at Michael's lodge over New Year 16/17. The photographs don't do this place justice - it is truly in a magical setting. The lodge is very private - located up a long driveway surrounded by trees, yet with beautiful views of the Green Mtns and Killington's slopes. The house is huge inside - easily accomodating 11 people from three families - when you wanted privacy, you could get it.
The lodge is very well kitted out - it has just about every kitchen appliance/utensil known to man, and furnishings & fittings were solid/rustic style which although not boutique trendy(!) fitted in well with the environment. We all agreed that the beds were really comfy!!
After a full day's skiing, us oldies thought it was lovely to relax in the hot tub or in front of the wood burner, whereas the younger members of our party thought the wifi connection was good.
My only word of warning is that the lodge doesn't have easy access to the slopes - especially for inexperienced skiers. Home Stretch slope is a 250/300 yard walk away but despite bountiful snow, it was closed and ungroomed. The alternative was to walk a further 200 yds through the garden of another property on to Great Eastern. We decided to ski Home Stretch despite it being closed, but had to negotiate a number of streams and bumps.
A minor inconvenience in what was a lovely stay, and I would not hesitate to recommend.
