The home has direct access (across the street) to the most extensive mountain hiking trail systems in Boulder County. Hike the trails to the Eldorado Canyon, the Flatirons, Boulder creek, or to the historic Chautauqua Park, all virtually out the front door from our home. And we're just 10 minutes from downtown.
Our place is perfect for:

Guests also have full access to all of the amenities. These include high-speed wi-fi in every room; access to wireless color printer / copier/ scanner. Also included are items like free washer and dryer use (we supply the natural laundry soap), plus full access to the basics of a well-stocked pantry (oils, spices, etc). About the only thing you'll need to bring is your own brand of shampoo and conditioner, toothpaste, etc. This is a chemical-free, smokeless home. The pantry is stocked with many assorted cooking basics, so you'll find many things you need.
Direct access to hiking trails, extensive mountain and road bike trail systems, 5 minute walk to major bus routes to downtown Boulder including the famous outdoor Pearl Street Mall and seasonal Farmer’s Market or a 20 minute bike ride on Boulder’s extensive and dedicated bike trail system. I enjoyed my stay. Alicia was friendly and helpful. I liked the seclusion of the two bedroom unit. Another review said it was cold but I was invited to turn up the thermostat if I felt cold. There was some disruption during my visit but i was minimized to the extent possible by Alicia. I would stay there again if my situation warranted it.

This location blew me away. The house has a great vibe, convenient location for trails and errands, and incredible views. Great hot water, cozy lighting and furniture, and quiet. Perfect wifi for WFH. The host is low key and accommodating and I would stay here again!

It was great! Alicia was very friendly and didn’t hesitate to help us with anything. We felt very safe at her house. She loved her dog as well

Excellent location, wonderful host
I had the privilege of staying at Alicia's basement apartment for two and a half months. Not only is Alicia's house optimally located - Bear Creek is literally yards away - but the house is quiet, accommodating, and lovely. Alicia herself was a wonderful host and warm person.
The basement was spacious and had everything I needed. Parking is easy and accessible. The trails are right outside the front door.

Incredible View and Location
Alicia was a great host. House was clean and everything you need is within a 20 minute walk or 5 minute drive from her house. 2 blocks away from the trail head with an amazing view of the mountains at any hour of the day. Would stay here again.

A great place to stay in South Boulder
This is a perfect place to stay in South Boulder... close to the hiking trails and not far from the bus line, the Table Mesa center, yet very quiet at night. Place is nicely done, the beds are comfy, and Alicia is a great host. We'll be back!

Best Experience Yet
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Boulder thanks to Alicia's hospitality. The attention to detail was perfect! We never expected to find specialty toiletry products , access to the hosts kitchen supplies, and a spotless, comfortable environment! Let's just say this is THE BEST experience we have had with a vacation rental. Beautiful location as well at the base of the Flat Irons with trails across the road. You won't regret staying with Alicia!

Cute and clean
Unit itself was very clean and nice. However it is advertised as a private space but it is nothing more than a basement of the owner’s house. It was strange to have to walk through a living room/kitchen to enter our unit.

Accommodation and location exceeded my expectations.
I was the only one on the property during my stay in the 2-bedroom basement, but the friendly, safe, residential location plus the ease of safe entry made even my late evening arrival easy and comfortable. Alicia’s daughter checked in on me, but I had everything I needed and it was spacious and clean. The access to walking and biking trails at the base of the mountains was great. I mostly used one bedroom, but there was plenty of closet and drawer space for both to be occupied easily. The shower bath was nicely done and the small kitchen had small appliances and a roomy half fridge. I will definitely stay here again.

Alicia's place was a great location so close to hiking trails, with a nice back deck to sit on and enjoy the Colorado weather! Fairly quiet neighborhood, which we appreciated.

Awesome home-away
Beautiful house. Great view of the Flat Irons and the Devil's Thumb. Very close to trailhead to Bear Mountain Canyon. Quiet neighborhood. $11-12 Lyft ride to downtown Boulder. If you're staying in the downstairs suite and someone is staying upstairs, you pass through part of their space to get to your space. A private entrance to the downstairs suite would be desirable, or at least a lock on the downstairs door. We had a great time and good assistance from Alicia, Would consider the whole house for a family reunion we're trying to put together for next year.

Quaint, quiet place to stay close to Boulder but away from hustle and bustle
My family of 5 stayed here in the basement apartment for Ironman Boulder, found it to be nice, quiet, and convenient. Minutes away from downtown but away from the busy areas. Beds were comfortable, as was the living area. Kitchen had just enough of what we needed, and there’s a full kitchen upstairs if needed. While we didn’t opt to rent the whole house, that was an option, though renting the basement was enough for us and certainly a step up from renting a hotel room for the family. I’d definitely stay here again.

My husband and I rented this house as a local getaway with my 75 year old father. It was spacious and gorgeous and Alicia was so sweet and accommodating. Highly recommend it!

I know she has done her best to describe the condition of our stay but we were surprise to realize that privacy was minimal, specifically no locked door separating us from the other renters. We had to use a chair to block easy entry to anyone in the house. Otherwise the stay would have been ok.

Great location near trails etc. Very clean and well maintained. I was impressed with the overall quality and amenities. We had the basement apartment which is spacious and well equipped. Nice seating, good kitchen space, a desk, a flat screen tv, etc. the two bedrooms both have windows and good light. The bath is quite modern and functional albeit a little small. Linens and towels are good quality. Kitchen appliances are good. I very much enjoyed my stay. A few items of note: 1. There is no thermostat in the basement apartment, so I alternately froze and then when the air was shut off was a little too stuffy. 2. There is no lock on the door to the basement apartment from the interior. A single woman may not feel comfortable not being bale to lock the unit from others in the house.in the upstairs rentals. 3. While the neighborhood is quiet, be warned that the basement apartment bedrooms can hear noise from the above units. I am a light sleeper and I heard every time the guest above my bedroom (the Ivy bedroom) got up in the night, turned over in bed (I could hear the bedsprings creak), and even heard him/her snore. A lot of people would not mind or are deep enough sleepers that this would not bother them but it detracted from my experience. Overall I was very pleased with the unit and make the above comments as suggestions or to better educate travellers as to whether this is suitable for their personal taste.

My wife, son and I shared the house with my sister-in-law, brother-in-law and his wife when we stayed in Boulder for the high school graduation of my niece. Alicia communicated well about the house, made sure we had everything we needed and provided a comfortable place where the entire family could get together. A late snow limited our use of the back deck, but we enjoyed sitting on it for coffee and snacks once the weather turned nicer. The house easily accommodated the six of us, and we found all the things we needed to cook our own breakfasts and dinners. The house is very convenient to downtown Boulder and south Boulder, which was important to us.

5 stars for this property! It is attractive, clean, comfortable and conveniently located. It was perfect for our graduation visit/celebration. Alicia was a friendly and gracious host. We had plenty of space for our multi-generational extended family to enjoy the occasion as well as the lovely scenery in the neighborhood. We especially enjoyed relaxing and dining out on the deck. I highly recommend this property.
