Good location. Worked perfect for our needs for my daughters wedding
2.0
Our daughter opened the front door and was greeted by a bear at the top of the stairs. She ran into a bedroom down stairs and the bear thankfully went through a bedroom window. The same window that it came in. The window is 7 feet up off of the ground. The carpets were very dirty, the hot tub was over chlorinated, the BBQ was broken. Won’t ever stay again.Nails coming up through the wood floors. Had to put tape over them so they wouldn’t cut our feet. Master bedroom shower was filthy. Over priced. We have been coming to South Lake Tahoe for 40 years and have never had as many rules and regulations as this house. I have never had to sign my life away with all the paperwork. It was absolutely ridiculous. We were told to take off our shoes in the house, which we did and at the end of the day the bottom of our feet were black with dirt from the filthy floors.

Owner was very attentive & helpful. The property location was good. Not too far from the strip & casinos. The kitchen was great except the kitchen faucet was loose. Furniture was updated and the big kitchen table was great for our large family & for game night! Beds were comfortable. We have been going to SLT yearly for over 32 years. This property is almost 5 stars. I gave 4 stars for cleanliness because one of the beds has 4 long hairs in the beds & the staircase (in & out) should have been swept. Those are my only 2 complaints (very minor). I would definitely stay here again!

Quiet neighborhood, central location and beautiful home! Great communication with owner, very helpful. Would go again!

Problems with not enough garbage storage, owner viewing cameras on property, contined calls, after I informed owner we would like to have a family dinner one night with all members. Neighbor taking pictures of us day and night. We had family from various family members from numerous states for one family dinner. Threats of calling the police even though we were not making loud noise, or causing any issues. Finally, we had to inform the owner that some of the family members were Policemen, so we know we were not being unlawful and we helped Owner out by taking away alot of garbage. We cleaned and left house in better condition then we received. A lot of the appliances in the house were not working we could never get the Fireplace on, spider webs and lots of dust all over. First time we had a problem with any owner and the first time as a minority family had anyone to harass us to the point of 5 calls and 4 text messages and someone walking by taking pictures of us. Am just saying.....

This was perfect for our group of 11 friends traveling for a ski trip! It was a close drive to the lake and to Heavenly. The place had plenty of rooms and space for us and the hot tub was nice to soak in after a long day. Would stay again!

It went very well

The house was well equipped: kitchen, towels/hot tub, pool table. Large house that met our groups' needs. We were skiing and boarding at Kirkwood and Heavenly so the location was perfect. Dennis was very quick at addressing any of our needs or problems that came up-great communication. We'd stay here again.

Home was absolutely perfect for my family of 12. We stayed here to have a get together for my parents’ 50th birthdays and the home did not disappoint. The open floor plan upstairs and two living rooms are great hang out spots for everyone. House looks just as pictured and I had great communication with the host prior to check in. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are on the fence!

Amazing home and prime location! This home had everything we needed for two families with a variety of ages. The rooms are spacious and well furnished, with comfortable beds. Everything worked just fine. We enjoyed using the pool table, wifi and hot tub with no issues. Hot tub looked clean and well maintained. The kitchen is also large, and all 12 of us were able to comfortably eat at the same time. The checkout process was simple. We will definitely be returning!

Spacious home that is well located in a quiet neighborhood. There were sufficient dishes/silverware for the 9 of us though there were only 6 mugs. The house was clean but the maintenance could have been better as several lights were out and the motion-sensor lights in the bathroom could not be shut down, leading to unwelcome light at night.
The low rating is because the internet and TV didn't work. The phone service, which is also provided by the internet provider, did not work for the prior occupants so we weren't the first to have a problem. We spent a lot of time trying to fix this and had several calls with the owner, his tech person, and the internet provider over two days (just how you want to spend your limited vacation time) but it never worked during our weekend stay. We asked the owner for compensation but were refused. That's unreasonable; for as much as we paid everything should work. And if it didn't work there should be some compensation.

Amazing time. Owner is a cool guy. Explained everything to us. House was spacious and clean.

The cabin is very clean and spacious for those with a large group. The kitchen was large enough for multiple people to cook together and hang out. We came at a perfect time when the weather was perfect and we had no issue with the house being too hot or cold. Communication with the manager was fast, easy, and reliable and he gives a very clear list of instructions to follow for check out. The only downside is the neighbors. Since they care so much about the noise level, it definitely makes you worry about whether or not they are going to report you. Although we didn’t have this issue, we were still mostly worried for both nights that this would’ve been an issue since some of the people we brought can be loud. I definitely would bring a large family here if it’s just a small getaway, but those booking for large events with loud people, I would double check to see if they are okay with being a little more reasonable with their noise level. Other than this, our stay was great and definitely needed, i would recommend!

Our stay left us deeply dissatisfied. Despite our high expectations based on the listing and the price paid, our experience fell short.
One major disappointment was the hot tub, a significant draw to the property. The hot tub did not function for the entire duration of our stay. The host claimed to be unaware of this issue, and the repairman who came to look at it told us that this was not the first time the hot tub had been leaking and malfunctioning during the summer.
We couldn't use the pool table because none of the cues had tips and were not straight. We did complain to the host, and only after some frustration, we received four new cues.
The overall cleanliness of the property was another major letdown. The property had dusty ceiling fans, and dirty HVAC filters, and the bathrooms appeared to have only received basic cleaning. The floors were noticeably neglected, with corners and base moldings in poor condition. The presence of dirty light switches and a clogged dryer vent, which posed a potential fire hazard, were additional concerns.
It was also frustrating to discover that we had to wash the dishes before using them. This was not the experience we were expecting based on the rental's description. The host tried to address some of these issues by offering a house cleaner for the dishes and access to a spa at another property but it's important to note that these solutions came later in our stay and did not fully make up for the disappointment of our stay.

It's big and spacious plenty of room for 8 adults and 3 teenagers, could use some fresh paint but overall property was excellent use for what it showcased. Location was aslo a plus its 10 min drive to heavenly. Would definitely recommend this property.

We booked this home for family vacation. We had a range of age groups that all enjoyed relaxing at this home. The garage had an extra refrigerator that came in handy for a full house. The location is great because it's near the Lake but out side of the busy South Lake area. Two thumbs up!
8.0
The neighborhood was quiet and the layout good for large groups. The kitchen is open and useful to cook in, with many pots, pans and utensils. The bdrm/bath space is great but some beds are very soft and others are hard. The house is a little worn and needs some TLC.
There were some issues like several light bulbs were out, including the front door light and back balcony, the grill is missing the igniter (so you have to use matches) and a grate, the vacuum didn’t work and the sliding door lock is broken (there’s a pole to put behind the door) and it was a struggle to open because the track seemed warped. The pool table touted in the listing has a broken bumper so playing pool was a bust. There aren't barstools in the kitchen as described except for one but it’s wobbly and unusable.
A bigger issue is the jacuzzi was leaking and the wood frame was wet underneath. It leaked enough to make a puddle on the ground below. I text the owner but didn’t hear back from him (he was on vacation but said I could text) so we were hesitant to get in it and never did. I did hear back the night before we left but by then it was too late.
Also, the TVs didn’t work at all. The router is in the garage and made it impossible to get wi-fi service on the TV or laptops. The listing says wi-fi may be spotty but I didn’t expect the TVs to not work at all.
In general, we enjoyed our stay because we were with family, but for the price the house does need some work.

The location of the House was nice. We had nine adults and the room situation worked out really well. The communication with the owner started the day before our trip. He was nice but I think he was concerned like most renters about the rules. He re-stipulating all the rules and then mentioned that there was a leak in the kitchen and that the floorboards were warped. He downplayed it and said they put a mat over it. When we arrived, it was worse than I had anticipated. It was completely buckled in front of the sink and walkway from the right counter. It was a hazard! One bar stool was completely broken and the other very wobbly so we put it aside. The glass sliding door track was so bad we could hardly open and close it. Some of the blinds were tattered and the sofa linings were coming undone. With that said, it needs some repairs and TLC.

We enjoyed the home, our family of 12 stayed for a family wedding. plenty of room for all and room to get ready as well. We all enjoyed sleeping on the comfortable beds. The blinds are outdated and a little messed up but overall it was fine. There had been a water leak and the floor was very badly buckled which was a tripping hazard even after knowing it was there!! A barstool broke while someone was sitting on it and thankfully they were not injured from the fall. I let the owner know right away so as not to be charged a fee for breaking furniture and he said to just put it in the garage. The location was nice. The weather went through all seasons while we were there and the snow fall was beautiful. Overall I would stay here again!

My family enjoyed staying at this property. We did a Mothers Day Brunch and there was more than enough seasonings, pots/pans. We brought our own paper plates, forks, and spoons. But there was a lot of plates and cups. The table fit our family so that we could sit & enjoy the brunch spread. The jacuzzi was so lovely. It was nice that there was a game room downstairs as the kids were able to watch TV and some of the Mothers were upstairs watching tv and getting dinner started.
The property manager was very communicative with any issues on the property. When I first got there, I called the property manager for a question and he answered immediately. Would recommend and stay again.

House was spacious and comfortable. Everything was working properly and the location was great.

The property is located in a lovely location. It is a bit run down, walls need painted or cleaned (are visibly soiled). The sliding door is difficult to open due to water damage. The dryer did not work. Needs carpet cleaning. Our vacation included a giant snow storm with no power off and on for 2 days -I acknowledge this is not the owners fault-However, there was no battery operated lights/latterns/flashlights, no back up heat options, etc.

We had fulfilled our duties for keeping the Feast of Tabernacles for eight days plus the Day of Atonement at this house.
We were short some of our family but nonetheless we enjoyed ourselves very much.
Communication with the owner was easy and quick. I did make some suggestions for making the home more inviting and he assured me he would make some changes and take the others into consideration. This home has potential to be a top notch property with some tender loving card.

Very disappointed in the place. The house is very poorly maintained (does not look like the pictures). We stayed at the chalet for 5 nights with my family and found so many issues with it. In our party we had my elderly parents and 2 young kids (4&6). There were multiple items broken in the house some were major safety concerns. The 2 biggest items were the sliding glass door and the railing on the patio. The hot tub is located on the second story balcony,. When my dad was getting out of the hot tub, he used the balcony railing to stabilize himself but it pulled apart from the post leaving a gap in the railing. He really could have fell from the 2nd story. Luckily, he was able to regain his footing and grab on the the post instead. As for the sliding glass door handle, it was separated from the glass Itself, it was very hard to closed and if you placed your hand right on top of it while sliding you it could easily pinch you and probably cut you. The other items we had issues with: baseboard fell off, the electrical plates were broken, stool was broken (this was also unsafe, but easy fix as we just moved it into the closet), the primary remote was missing so we couldn’t use the tv. When we told the host we couldn’t find the remote, he just keep telling us to keep looking or use the one in the living room.. so we were only able to use 1 tv at a time. Window screen was missing, a bat ended up flying into the living room at night. The walls were filthy and the couch was old with stains and holes in the leather.
We had a big party (total of 10) so it’s not easy for us to move around. On the second night I did try to look for a different place, however there was limited availability for our group size and for those particular dates (the week before Labor Day)
When notifying the host , he was not helpful at all and literally said “it is what it is” and essentially blamed it on past guests and the remoteness of tahoe that he can’t get the repairs done in a timely manner. There was no accountability. My take on it, is he’s very frugal and do not want to block the calendar to get the repairs done. He wants to make as much as money as possible and doesn’t care on guest experience. I personally will not book here again. But to be fair he did say he was coming up Labor Day weekend to fix things

Owner was very responsive , house was spacious and clean! Jacuzzi was all ready for us when we came. Kitchen was well equipped and porch was comfortable with tables, as well as a grill. Would love to come again!

The owner should specify there is no air conditioning. Otherwise, it was a great place!

It was perfect for a large family gathering.. We were close to the village but not too far from
hikes and beaches.
We were surprised we were only supplied with one paper towel, minimal toilet paper, one kitchen towel with no laundry detergent and a sliding door out to the patio that was broken and couldn’t lock for the price that we paid.

We were very unhappy with the condition of the house.

Great set up with plenty of room for our family. It was a comfortable and quite setting. The hot tub was fabulous and the front and back small decks are cozy for a morning cup of coffee or a late night glass of wine. The location is perfect, for South Lake Tahoe!! There are a lot of stairs in this place so just be prepared for that. Parking for 4 means standard size cars. We had Four full-size vehicles and the situation was a bit tricky as we could only fit one vehicle in the garage at a time. So be prepared to shuffle if your are taking the max of four vehicles. There is an extra refrigerator in the garage which came in handy! The property manager was very easy to get a hold of. We had no issues during our stay. The water was always hot for back to back showers. The fireplace downstairs was perfect for the cold evenings. The TV downstairs is not as user friendly as the one upstairs. I think apart from being outside, our favorite part was my family’s ability to all eat dinner and play games together around the extra large kitchen table. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this place.

We stayed here for a wedding on town. The home accommodation where good for 12 adults. There is parking for four small cars if you use the garage. Don’t plan on any groups bigger than 12. If you are planning on being loud I would recommend a hotel. The quiet neighborhood does not appreciate noise. We had no issues but we are old and quiet.

This home was perfect for our family . Very big and comfortable. Dennis was very good communicating with us . Kitchen very well stocked . You do need your spices we brought ours . It was clean and very comfortable beds . The pool table room was very enjoyable for the teenagers and adults , lots of time spent there . Gladys and Manager Dennis were superb in everything . I would stay here again .

The house was spacious and clean. However for such an expensive property I would have expected much higher end furnishings and for everything to be in working order. Many of the ancient blinds were broken and dangerous for children with all the strings hanging down low. The sliding glass door was broken and very difficult to open. The promised pack and play was not there however the manager was nice and got one to us the next day. Furniture to seat six people was in the living room even though the house is advertised to accommodate 12. We had to purchase coffee cups and wine glasses because there were only a couple of each. Could be a very nice property but overall my expectations were not met

Everything was great! Really liked the location. Was able to get to Main strip (Casino, Dinning, Shopping, Sking etc..)with a short drive. House was nice and clean. Hot tub was well maintained and clean.
If anything house could use a few more coffee cups. a couple cooking pans could use replacing .
We Would rent this house again...
