Guest interaction
Our home is not a rental property investment but our vacation home. Over the past 6 years, we have experienced great enjoyment, in hearing and reading of the tremendous memories that our family home has blessed on our guests. We are extremely understanding that our guest’s vacation is a precious family time and we strive to make our guest’s stay as enjoyable as possible. We provide you with mobile numbers of 3 family members that are available 24hrs a day to answer any questions or to correct any issues that may arise.
Neighborhood overview
Longview Camp is centrally located on Lake Winnipesaukee providing and equally short drive to the main lake towns of Wolfeboro and Meredith. Gunstock Ski Area, offering year round adventure, is only about 5 minutes away. Grocery stores and retailers are about 10-15 minutes away in Gilford & Laconia.
Other things to note
Our property offers our guest almost all that they could possibly want in a Lakehouse and some never leave throughout their entire stay. That said, we are an extremely adventurous family and through our experiences, I have assembled a list of nearby retailers, adventures and restaurants but also experiences that will come to you from Classic Boat rides, Waterski/wakeboard instructors and fishing guides that I will provide prior to your stay.
Special Events and Weddings:
We have had many requests for utilizing the property for special events, especially weddings. With prior approval, we have allowed a few small gathering of less that 20 total people for an additional fee of $2,000.
There is high speed WIFI if you happen to find the time or remember that you brought your phone or computer.
(Please be aware of the varying seasonal rates from $600 per night in April to $3000 per night during the high summer season so be sure to enter your exact dates)

We had a great week! Thank you so much!

Somehow, midsummer, we stumbled into this property due to a cancellation that they had. Just a big family looking to be together on the lake, with a rented pontoon boat, a private dock and a firepit at the water's edge. We cruised the lake at dusk watching the lights around the lake come on and then sat around the fire for a wonderful end to the day. Lots of places to walk and experience lake life, lots of outside fun and laughter. This place is very special. The owners could not have been more accommodating. I know that no one will forget this weekend and we will be looking to do it all over again as soon as we can!

The only thing i was missing here was more time to stay :-)
This house is gorgeous! a family home built upon over generations to make the perfect Winnipesauke getaway. Plenty of comfortable rooms to stay in, plenty of space for your entire crew to spread out... even in the rain. We were lucky to find this house when the house we originally rented did not meet expectations. Keith and Karyn were excellent hosts; Karyn gave us the nickel tour and some history of the property which was intriguing and gave us the sense of home and family just to hear about it. Keith was very responsive with any questions asked. The kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms were all very clean and well equipped... truly the best location we could see rentable on the lake; beautiful beachfront with a fire pit and sunsets that were breathtaking. This house made for the perfect turn around to what could have been a failed vacation. THANK YOU KEITH AND KARYN!!! we will be back.

We had a wonderful stay at the property. The owners were very responsive with any questions/issues. The yard and beach are top notch. A perfect place for our kids to play and for us to relax. The only issue we had is that the rooms were a bit smaller in real life than they appeared in the pictures, which was a problem for fitting pack n’ plays in. Not all rooms can accommodate them, as an FYI for those traveling with infants/toddlers. Other than that, the house was great and our family had a fantastic week!

We had a great stay! The property is lakefront wonderful and the house spacious enough to comfortably fit our extended family ages 4-77. Think classic vintage lake house charm. We loved everything about it and can’t wait to come back!

We had a great time with our three young kids for two weeks). Great shallow beach for playing and dock for jumping off of. Rented pontoon boat and loved boating around and going to nearby sandbar (less than 5 minute bot ride away).
Home had everything we needed and owner was extremely responsive to any questions we had during our stay.

We stayed at this home for a large family vacation. The lakefront property with views of the mountains was spectacular! The home was large with plenty of sleeping space. We appreciate that it is a family home but there were too many personal items left on display, not very kid friendly!!

Relaxing for all ages - 8 months to over 75 years
Space for everyone - inside, on the lawn, the beach and fishing or jumping off the dock. Picnic tables accommodated all 10 of us for lunch and dinner every day. After the kids were in bed, the adults gathered around the fire pit to enjoy the sunset and time together. Definitely recommended!

Perfect outdoor spot
We had 8 adults and 2 children. The beach and water were just perfect. Children and dogs enjoyed playing in the sand and running in and out of the water. Back yard perfect for our games. Nice sitting around the fire pit by the water. The house had plenty of bedrooms. The house has been in the family since the early 30’s most is original. The addition is nice too.

Great family spot
This was our second time staying at this wonderful property. Karyn went out of her way to make it a special stay, helping us coordinate and plan surprise 75th birthday parties for our parents, complete with catered dinner, dessert and decorations.
The waterfront is exceptional, with sandy beach and crystal clear water, not to mention the breathtaking views. We spent most of our days playing lawn games on the yard or taking the boats out on the lake and our nights by the fire pit. The house has comfy beds and the added air conditioning was a plus. Highly recommend this gem for any family vacation.

A special house
Keith and Karyn's family home is very special..and I really enjoyed learning the history of the house. Keith and Karyn were very responsive pre and during our stay and Karyn was at the house when we arrived and walked through the property with us. I found it to be in better shape than I expected from the Vrbo photos as they've done a lot of work to the house since then. This was a bonus! You can't beat the location of the house, the private beach, and the fire pit to watch the sunset. Our young boys spent all day on the beach and running around the yard. It's great for people of all ages and close to restaurants and grocery stores. I highly recommend!

A Week at the lake with family and Friends
This property is beautiful. Clearly a cherished family home that the owners are willing to share with others. We were all extremely happy with our week!
Lots of spaces to accommodate a group of people who have separate interests at times, but also want to get together - at meals, over a puzzle, etc.
We were very pleasantly surprised that all the bedrooms had A/C; this wasn't listed and it has been quite a hot summer, but the house has been upgraded and the week was very pleasant. Cozy in the rain and cool at night when it was humid outside.

Fantastic lake vacation rental
We rented this property for a family lake vacation and it was perfect for our group. The spot on the lake was fantastic with amazing views. The home and backyard were a great fit for our family, including the children. We also rented a boat and were able to use the private dock. The property owners were very accommodating and helpful. Overall, a great experience and we hope to be back!

An excellent lake vacation!
Our family (10 of us) enjoyed the lake house property. The house is in an excellent location for boating (Alton Bay and several gas stations are nearby). Plenty of room for 10 of us and had space to spare! House is very clean and well maintained, rooms are on the small side but we spent most of our time outside or on the spacious deck. Karyn was very attentive and easy to communicate questions. Would definitely recommend!

February retreat
My husband and I, our three kids (ages 4 months-12 years), three other family members and two dogs stayed at this lovely home on Winnipesaukee for February break this year! It was so comfortable, well-stocked, clean and inviting that we would definitely recommend and return. We had fun skiing, tubing, ice-fishing, and taking the dogs on the trails. I'm still looking back on the pictures and imagining the view from the four season porch with my coffee in the morning.

Lovely fall getaway
Cozy, charming lakefront home that has lots of family history. In a great location for hiking and exploring local towns. Weather was not conducive to exploring the lake from the water, but the views were incredible. House has cottage feel; has updated appliances and is well stocked. Kevin and Karyn were wonderful to deal with. Only disappointment was the indoor woodburning stove was not functional - would have been nice on cold, rainy days. Heat worked fine though. Overall it was a great place to enjoy family and the outdoors and still be able to work remotely.

Beautiful Cozy Lake House
This was the perfect house and location for a family vacation. The house was clean, gorgeous, and exactly as it appears in the pictures. We had 6 guests but we easily could have had more and been quite comfortable. We spent everyday enjoying the back yard and sandy beach and used the fire pit every night. Keith and his sister Karyn were super friendly and helpful. We hope to visit again soon.

Memory making
We had so much fun at the lake house. I have always wanted to rent a house on the lake and we couldn’t have picked a better property! The owners were very communicative and helped with our questions. The water was crystal clear and the beach was perfect!

Great beach/location for family gatherings
Family owned property-like staying at well-loved grandparents’ house. Excellently equipped kitchen and lots of areas for dining and hanging out. Great beach/lawn area with kayak/canoe/rowboat/dock and firepit. Owners are very responsive and helpful. Full disclosure: it does feel like grandma’s house-old fashioned furniture, really dim lighting at night, old windows that don’t always open or fully shut and no a/c (not a problem when we went in mid-Sept). In age of COVID-few options to eat out if you don’t want to dine inside and many restaurants/stands shut down after Labor Day so be prepared to cook or take out

perfect spot for big family!
The house is too big for us, the family of 3 and a Shitzu dog, but the location plus that sand beach, the cleanliness of the house and that nice welcome from the owners made us felt relived from a nightmare of the first house we had rent the first week we arrived at NH from Bayside Rental!! Thank you! Ning

Perfect location
We absolutely cherished our time at Keith and Karyn’s property. We go to Lake Winnipesaukee every year and this is hands down the best location. The sandy beach, dock, crystal clear water and huge yard with wrap around deck were amazing. While the house was older and lacks certain modern amenities (AC, etc) it was a charming, rustic location with plenty of bedrooms, all with comfy beds and linens. We especially enjoyed hearing the lake at night from our open windows in the third floor bedroom, which has panoramic views of the lake. Karyn could not have been more responsive and went out of her way to make our vacation great. We can’t wait to go back again.

Wonderful Stay
We had our family gathering at this property and it was absolutely perfect. The pictures do not do the yard and beach justice. We spent most of our time outside, enjoying the amazing view of Lake Winnepesaukee. The house comes with a double kayak and canoe. The rooms and beds are comfortable, though there was one night where it did not get below 90s so that was a little rough. There is an extra fridge in the basement, so food storage was not at all a problem. Our family LOVED the new porch, where we ate most of our meals and enjoyed lounging. The firepit right up against the beach could not have been a more enjoyable way to end the evenings, hearing the water while looking up at the incredible stars you can see up there. The owners are communicative and very helpful, clearly wanting their guests to have a great stay. Thank you so much Keith and Kathy!

Perfect Lake House
We loved our stay at the Longview Camp. The house was ideal for our large group and the property is even better. The home is close to hiking (we hiked Mt. Major), has a great sandy beach and we couldn’t give a more glowing endorsement.

Beautiful, relaxing, scenic lake house
This is a beautiful historic property with some of the best views you can find on lake Winnipesaukee. The photos on the listing are accurate, and the hosts are very easy to communicate with. I would highly recommend staying here for a lake side getaway.

Wow! Best Lake Front Ever!
We chose this home for the lake front and it absolutely delivered! It has a clean sandy beach, easy sloped entry to the water, a solid sandy bottom you can stand on five feet past the dock, crystal clear water, wonderful fire pit, plenty of outdoor seating, amazing sunset and mountain views, and a large shady yard. The location can't be beat! It's close to stores, restaurants, entertainment and it's an easy boat ride to all points on the lake! If you're looking for a modern, up to date, completely done home then this isn't the place for you. But if you're looking for a well-loved, cozy, classic lake home book this quickly! This home has plenty of comfortable beds, multiple rooms to hang out, multiple dining areas, a front porch, a deck over looking the lake and a very well stocked kitchen. A small, but important point is that the showers have good water pressure and lots of hot water! Karyn and Keith are accessible and were very responsive to the small issues we had. Can't wait to return and see how they continue to update and improve this amazing property!

Great view
The home itself is quite unique with various sitting rooms which include family and other lake-style decorations. The dining room (off limits) includes antique furniture. The view of the lake from the deck and beach are outstanding. Pleanty of parking for guests.

A beautiful slice of serenity
This is the second time we stayed at this beautiful home - and as expected, it was glorious! The fire pit at night is a perfect way to end a day on the lake. There is plenty of room for our family - reading nooks, places to take cozy naps in......this home is such a special place to our family. And this year, we created even more special memories. Thank you Keith for your hospitality and for allowing us to enjoy your beautiful lakeside home. We are counting the days until next year.

Great “rustic feel cabin“
We loved the rustic feel mixed with the new. It felt like old Winnipesaukee but with many updated features. We roasted marshmallows in the fire pit, grandparents down to teens. Used the dock, lived the hearing the waves and loons from our bedrooms. As it’s still updating, for now careful when raising and lowering windows.

Wonderful lake house- very helpful owners!
We spent a wonderful week by the lake during an especially hot spell. The house had a maintenance issue which the owners immediately took charge of correcting with minimum inconvenience to us. Beautiful antiques throughout make this home comfortable and homey.
6.0 / 10.0
Lovely location, property past its prime.
I found the bookkeeping questionable. In addition to the total charge and cancellation insurance the owner charged an additional $399 for the VBRO charge and $675 for New Hampshire tax. He did not charge for cleaning or a security fee. Since when I originally received the bill I did not see these VBRO and state tax fees and assumed they were for cleaning and security. I urge renters to carefully review the charges before signing on.
