Loved the cabin and the Mexican restaurant within walking distance. Close to the village but far away from the hustle and bustle that comes along with it. Loved our stay!

The host are perfect, we have some problem with the battery of the heater, but once I say that to the Host, she immediatly send someone to replace it immediatly, which is highly appreciate, above all, because I have my Grand Daughter.

We really enjoyed our stay at the cozy cabin! Location was excellent and only minutes to the village and snow tubing! The gas fire place was a nice bonus and not expected! We would definitely come back again!

We arrived on a Sunday for 7 nights. As described by the owner, this charming cabin is conveniently located within a short drive of the lake and the village, and close by many great hiking trails.
We appreciated the quiet and open space view of the front yard, while relaxing on the front deck’s chairs.
As one steps inside the cabin, it feels like entering in a chalet of the Swiss Alps; it is nicely decorated with rustic design furniture and lots of antique memorabilia. Wifi and TV’s work great, the kitchen is well equipped, and the 2 bathrooms were very clean.
It would have been a perfect family vacation time if the cabin had been furnished with a newer bed in the master bedroom. The mattress was so uncomfortable on our back, that we ended up placing the comforter and blanket under the bedsheet to pad the saggy mattress, and to avoid rubbing against the hard and squeaky springs. We also found the foot board wiggling with loose screws upon arrival.
If you are used to comfy bed linen, I strongly suggest to bring your own own comforter and pillows, as we usually do.
After bringing this issue to the owner attention, she assured us she will take care of this matter. We will be more than pleased to book a future gateway with our dog and family if the bed gets replaced in the master bedroom.

Property was just as described… no thrills or frills but had everything we needed to enjoy a last minute weekend getaway. Thanks for the hospitality.

Seriously the place is OLD and falling apart. Huge gaps between doors and door frames on outside doors. AC is making noise but it definitely doesn't work. I had to work during the day and it was 90 degrees in the house by noon while AC was running non-stop and the 2 fans were on.
Everything is squeaky, broken, or about to fall apart. The dining table is sticky (after I've cleaned it several times I guess it's just super old) and about to fall apart along with all 4 chairs. The queen bed not only falling apart but the springs stick into your back. There's a deck but no dining table. No dishwasher. Some towels even though they were washed they had stains on them. No lights on the gravel walkway from the garage to the house.
I fell for renting this place cause it was small, the price was good, and good reviews. I don't know what people are thinking but this is not a place as advertised. The only reason we haven't canceled immediately after entering the house and realizing we got screwed was cause our stay was only 2 nights and we were passing through. The kids couldn't wait to get out of that place.

Great little cabin. Neighbors noisy on weekend with loud music but thankfully just one evening. Host very good and very responsive. Check in a little wonky as property mgr did not show at appointed time and had to call and then received info via text. TV system had no instructions and 3 remotes but we figured it out so we could watch weather and news. Would recommend it highly to others.

We arrived Monday evening and got settled in. The cabin had everything we needed to cook a nice dinner that evening and a coffee maker to make coffee in the morning. We rode snow summit Tuesday and made a great meal in the kitchen in the cabin that evening. We retired to our bedrooms that evening and woke up to an insane amount of snow! After shoveling out the truck from the driveway, we headed back up to snow summit for an awesome day of riding. It was the best I’ve ever seen the snow up there and I’ve been going to big bear and summit for 20+ years! Anyway, we extended our stay until Friday morning due to the snow being so great. The cabin was perfect for us, our dogs and our friends. Thanks Kari!!!

Great trip with my little family. Perfect size home in a great location, close to shops and the village and a mile from snow summit .
Home has everything you would need to make yourself feel right at home, big yard perfect for snow play for kids and making snowmen. Great selection of movies on demand and a very warm fireplace.
Highly recommend this property, would definitely stay again.
Thanks Kari for a great stay!

We had a great time, the cabin is very cozy and nicely decorated. Super short drive or walk to the main shopping areas and it was secluded enough away from it all to feel private.
The heat works really really well, so we had to keep the master bedroom door open or it became a sauna. The fireplace in the living room as well is very strong and we could only have it on for short bits to enjoy the fire or it got too hot. The master bed is very squeaky but otherwise comfortable.
The owners are great communicators and it was easy to get in touch for a few questions when we needed to and they are extremely nice and polite.

The cabin had everything I wanted. But the heating system was not working as I expected, it took hours to go up a couple of degrees on white cold night.

We came up with my our family for our wedding, we wanted something close to my aunts cabin, which was 4 mins away so it was perfect. My only “complaint “ would be the kitchen faucet is broken so you have either hot water or cold water. I couldn’t figure out an in-between. Other than that it was perfect. Would definitely rent again.

No instructions or time that instructions would be sent over for check-in. Sat there waiting for the check info before we could get into the house…

Good place
Very nice and quaint. The place is well decorated. Everything was clean except some of the dishes. The rules that you can leave dirty dishes and have to wash them before checkout, so I imagine some people do a sloppy job and the rest of us suffer the consequences. Might be worth removing that from the rules. Overall a nice place to stay

Nice but uncomfortable
Me and my family (2 adults/2 teens) stayed at this property. If you plan on cooking, the smoke detectors are very sensitive. The bed in the master bedroom was very uncomfortable and squeaky, kids didn’t complain about other bedrooms. Oversight on my part, animals I guess are allowed at the property, my allergies were terrible because of the pet dander. Also, wish the couch would fit more than 3 people. Overall, it was an OK property.

Visiting with our Marine and went skiing
Great house for our family! We met our son and his girlfriend with our 15 yo daughter and went skiing at snow summit. It was a great weekend and close to shops and dining!

Great Place To Stay!!
I booked this cabin for a quick birthday getaway with my kids and I’m so happy I did! The cabin gave the exact feel that I was looking for. The living room had an amazing fireplace that warmed up most of the cabin and the central heater really warmed up the rooms. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals and the rooms were super cute. The spacious front yard had plenty of room for us to play around in the fresh snow so there was really no need to drive anywhere. The cabin is less than 10 minutes from The Village and the Bowling Barn which was so convenient! I could go on and on about this place. I would highly recommend this cabin and would definitely stay here again!

Overall the property is maintained. Just some difficulty with the front door lock was tricky to lock the doors.
The location is also great and close proximity to many places and hiking area.

DO NOT RENT THIS CABIN
The cabin was unbearably hot during the summer and didn't cool off until midnight. The master bedroom was very small and had a door that had to be opened and closed to walk around the bed. The bed was hard and squeaked loudly. There was a filter in the ceiling for the heater that was filthy. We didn't sleep, so we left after one day (losing a night’s payment). That was our choice, for sure. We get that. The owner offered to send some refund and sent a whopping fifty dollars. The guidelines in the ad are harsh and unwelcoming. Instructions are overwhelming. Other VRBO hosts have sent "We're excited to have you come to the cabin/house/room, etc." These owner's answer was "there is a $20 fee per night for your dog." Fine, but not very welcoming. We discovered why this cabin was the last one available that weekend.

Great location, very small space
Great location (10mim walk to the lake - and 5min drive to the village).
The space inside is tight, and the furniture really needs updating. The dining table set is tight and the dining chairs are not stable.
Patio furniture would be nice.

First I’ll start with all the things we loved about our stay. The kitchen was very well equipped for all of our cooking. Many Airbnb’s/Vrbo’ slack the basics like salt, pepper and olive oil. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and make our meals during our stay. The couches are very comfortable and cozy next to the fireplace. The beds came with plenty of blankets for a cold winters night. Our dog loved playing in the snow in the front yard and the cabin was close to some great hiking spots, sledding and a short drive to the slopes/town.I now the cons:I’ve never stayed at a place where they Deb and you start the laundry (with no given laundry detergent) before your departure, in addition to stripping the beds, towels, doing all dishes and taking out trash. Obviously we’re fine with doing all this but then why such a high cleaning fee?? The cabin wasn’t that clean when we arrived. Which takes me to my next point. The sheets we’re definitely not clean when we arrived. There was dirt in our sheets. When we went to look for a dog toy we looked behind the sofa cushions that had food, baby toys and dirty clothes. Once again this isn’t that big of a deal but when you’re paying so much for cleaning you would expect a place to be clean. Thank goodness we read other reviews and brought our own pillows the ones provided are paper thin. Lastly, the kitchen table is almost unusable. We aren’t very large people and every time we sat in the kitchen chairs it felt like they would collapse on us. All in all if you want a basic cabin to stay at in a good location that’s dog friendly take the chance but bring your own sheets and pillows.

Great Big Bear cabin
This is a cute cabin in a good location. The only negative to this place was that the beds were not very comfortable and were creaky. Other that that, very cute and has a lot of character.

Cozy cabin
This is a great, cozy little cabin. The overall stay was great, and it was perfectly suited for a quick trip to big bear (3 nights) with two adults and two small children. There is a vacant lot next to this property so when there was snow on the ground there was a ton of room to romp around and play in the snow. The only thing we weren't really expecting was that the garage is quite a ways away from the front door, so it took a while to unload the truck and make that long trek many times.

Super cute, great location!
Loved the Enchanted Cabin. The pillows were pretty flat so we recommend bringing your own sheets and pillows like we did :) The cleaning personnel didn't seem to do that good of a job at getting the home ready for the next guests, the place smelled like cooked meat when we arrived and our family is vegetarian. We had to air out the cabin to get the smell out. Other than that, the place is adorable. The location is central to all parts and activities in Big Bear. The hosts were also very responsive when we had questions. I would definitely stay here again and with the exception of the meat smell, 5 stars!
