Loved the cabin and the Mexican restaurant within walking distance. Close to the village but far away from the hustle and bustle that comes along with it. Loved our stay!

We really enjoyed our stay at the cozy cabin! Location was excellent and only minutes to the village and snow tubing! The gas fire place was a nice bonus and not expected! We would definitely come back again!

We arrived on a Sunday for 7 nights. As described by the owner, this charming cabin is conveniently located within a short drive of the lake and the village, and close by many great hiking trails. We appreciated the quiet and open space view of the front yard, while relaxing on the front deck’s chairs. As one steps inside the cabin, it feels like entering in a chalet of the Swiss Alps; it is nicely decorated with rustic design furniture and lots of antique memorabilia. Wifi and TV’s work great, the kitchen is well equipped, and the 2 bathrooms were very clean. It would have been a perfect family vacation time if the cabin had been furnished with a newer bed in the master bedroom. The mattress was so uncomfortable on our back, that we ended up placing the comforter and blanket under the bedsheet to pad the saggy mattress, and to avoid rubbing against the hard and squeaky springs. We also found the foot board wiggling with loose screws upon arrival. If you are used to comfy bed linen, I strongly suggest to bring your own own comforter and pillows, as we usually do. After bringing this issue to the owner attention, she assured us she will take care of this matter. We will be more than pleased to book a future gateway with our dog and family if the bed gets replaced in the master bedroom.

Seriously the place is OLD and falling apart. Huge gaps between doors and door frames on outside doors. AC is making noise but it definitely doesn't work. I had to work during the day and it was 90 degrees in the house by noon while AC was running non-stop and the 2 fans were on. Everything is squeaky, broken, or about to fall apart. The dining table is sticky (after I've cleaned it several times I guess it's just super old) and about to fall apart along with all 4 chairs. The queen bed not only falling apart but the springs stick into your back. There's a deck but no dining table. No dishwasher. Some towels even though they were washed they had stains on them. No lights on the gravel walkway from the garage to the house. I fell for renting this place cause it was small, the price was good, and good reviews. I don't know what people are thinking but this is not a place as advertised. The only reason we haven't canceled immediately after entering the house and realizing we got screwed was cause our stay was only 2 nights and we were passing through. The kids couldn't wait to get out of that place.
