About this house rental
Perfectly located! Our cabin is nestled among trees on a quiet little street in desirable Moonridge. Walking distance to Bear Mountain Resort (where you can take my shuttle to Snow Summit), the golf course, the zoo and the San Bernandino National Forest. Our neighborhood is very quiet. We are far enough away from the main road, Club View Drive, to not hear the traffic and close enough to the forest to enjoy all nature has to offer.
Guests will have access to the entire 2 bedroom cabin, fireplace, BBQ and spa on the back deck. Help yourself to anything you need. Includes 2 flat screen HDTV's, cable (with sports package) and high speed wi-if. There are also kid games and board games for your entertainment. The kitchen is fully stocked with the following appliances: a microwave, coffee maker, toaster, range and refrigerator. Coffee, tea, creamer, sugar, cooking oil, salt and pepper, spices, napkins and paper towels are all available.
Linen and towels are included. We do recommend bringing extra towels for the Jacuzzi. You are welcome to use the fireplace, however, we do not supply firewood. Small pieces of wood work much better as our fireplace is great for atmosphere, not for heating the cabin. Please use the heater for your main heat source. There are places in town to purchase firewood, though you might want to bring some with you in advance.
We like to give our guests privacy, but you are welcome to contact us anytime with questions or concerns. We are available via text, email or telephone call. We usually respond to any message within an hour.

I really wanted the jacuzzi but it did not work. Many stairs up and down to go to bathroom. Very attractive any many other positive things. Equipped with everything you would need.

We use VRBO often but rarely out a bad review unless there is an issue that warrants concern. The fireplace is great for ambiance but the floo needs a severe cleaning. All of our clothing from the trip smells smokey and needs a deep clean. That was a small issue that could be avoided by our own actions but the biggest issue was water and heat.
Water:
Hot water was very poor. We understand it can take a while to heat up but we would sometimes wait for almost 10 minutes before we could shower. The hot tub water was too low for us to use the jets which was just a nuisance but can be easily fixed by the management team.
Heat:
The forced heater is okay at best. The downstairs couldn’t be heated up to a comfortable level while the upstairs would be so stuffy and hot. It was too cold to hang out with the kids downstairs after a day of snowboarding so we would just hang out in the primary bedroom to cozy up.
The place also needs deep clean because we kept walking into cob webs which we cleared as much as we could until we found a large spider.
This home is at a great location and has so much potential but I can say we wouldn’t rent this home again.

Property was perfect for me, my fiancé and our two small dogs! Location was perfect! Loved walking the dogs around and everyone around was so kind! Neighbors were kind but they are early birds so if you like sleeping in, keep that in mind and it may be slightly noisy. We did not see a bbq grill but we made due with food we brought up. The hot tub was perfect for the cooler nights. This was exactly what we imagined for a cozy little get away!

Cozy well-appointed cabin for our family inclusive for our 4 legged family member! Located on a quiet street but very close to all that Big Bear has to offer! We especially enjoyed the hot tub which was fairly private and a perfect place to relax while taking in the pines and the stars!

The place is extremely rundown and desperately needs a renovation. Beds are uncomfortable, and stairs need repair (dangerous). The back porch is rundown and has a nasty hot tub on it.

Quaint cabin perfect for the 2 of us, tho it slept many more. Had everything we needed. Lovely trail nearby to take a walk. We also walked to danks donuts one morning and sat outside. Loved the little porch, had our morning coffee outside. Nice, friendly neighbors as well.

Dirty
We had to clean the whole house in order to enjoy our stay. Not sure why we had to pay so much $$ for cleaning fee when we had to clean after the previous renter.

Nice weekend
The cabin is very quaint. It could use a little updating for the price, but it was fine. The spa shorted out both times we used it. I had to contact the owner to learn about using the breaker box to reset it. The refrigerator was set to coldest setting, but it was not doing the job of keeping our things cold. The owner was very kind in messages.

Great little cabin for a getaway
Great cabin in Moonridge. Not too far from Big Bear Village and plenty of other places to eat in the area. Would love to come back when the weather is cooler.

Wonderful cozy cabin
We had a wonderful time at the Bear Mountain Hideaway! The cabin was cozy, had everything we needed and was in a great location surrounded by trees. We were there during a snowstorm and were pleasantly surprised when people came early in the morning to shovel us out. Maranda and Howard were wonderful hosts!
