The perfect getaway, cute cottage, well equipped and quiet location, will return!

Very dark and difficult to find lights. Fenced back yard needed to be manicured, it had foxtails. Dryer knob comes off when you try to turn it on. Refrigerator had frozen water inside. The knob for setting temperature in refrigerator was broken so it couldn't be adjusted. Furniture could have been upgraded. No privacy in living room. They had hanging nylon see through drapes.

Nice cozy place but it’s for 4-5 adults . The pullout couch is nicer than the one in the pictures, but not big enough for two adults and it’s hard.
We had an inflatable with us, thank God.
I emailed Kristen (guest contact) but never heard back, I was requesting 1-2 hour late check out because 10am is a bit early for me, specially when, they request you tidy up the place or there could be added fees.
Zero communication is what I like !

After a break up, I came here for 4 nights with my cat and dog; I was pleasantly surprised. Located in a quiet area, but close enough to the ski area and several stores; the cabin was very cozy and quaint. Perfect for one or two people (more than that would be too crowded). Well supplied kitchen, bathroom, and extra towels/covers were available. The living room was very spacious with a fireplace and a perfect backyard for my dog. The only thing missing was a snow shovel (we got snowed in) and have to be creative moving the snow. Other than that, we, (my pets and I), really enjoyed our stay.

It was super clean & great communication with the property manager. I would definitely stay here again 😊

I appreciated how easy checkin process and how available the property manager was for help. I feel the photos were a bit misleading. The living room was a bit small, and the sofa was not really suitable for sleeping. Cleanliness was not great, many dishes were dirty and then rooms did not seem to be clean other than the beds. Fire place and breakfast bar were wonderful though. Location was killer.

Beside the point that it's hard to find, the place is great & perfect for the amount of ppl listed. Peaceful & quite all around.

It was cute little cabin. Near tubing with was fun for the kids and less than 14 to big bear resort. Heater and fire place will heat that place up real quick.

This property checks all the major boxes of a ski cabin. Some details were lacking such as coat hangers, hand soap, and bed comforters.

My husband and I and our two dogs found this cabin to be perfect for us. Not too big, not too small. The backyard was secure and had a nice deck with a BBQ overlooking it.
If traveling with a dog, just be aware that one of the gates is a little over ~3' tall. May be a concern for some with dogs.

It was clean and comfortable. Had everything you needed and more. Washer and dryer. Every kitchen gadget you might need. Smart tv. Great location close to everything. Only thing was the lighting was dim. Some lights were burnt out or the switch didn’t work. Reached out to the owner and weren’t able to fix. Hopefully before the next person it got straighten out. Regardless I would definitely stay here again.

cozy cabin
A cute cabin in a quiet neighborhood! Close to shops, restaurants and the ski resorts. A perfect place to stay for a small family or group of friends.

Pests of a variety in the house...
The property is well located in a quiet neighborhood, yet close enough to village and lake. However, we had 5 large spiders, 2 baby roaches (1 in the kitchen and the other in the bathroom), and a mess of bed bugs to deal with. Having only 1 bathroom for 3 people wasn't ideal and there is no direct source of warmth in either bedroom. Arrived back to LA with bites all over and scratching for days. That was gross. I wrote a letter to the owner reporting my troubles with her pets, and she basically blew me off. Not what I would expect from an expensive Thanksgiving weekend. Too bad that people care so little about other people. Just the money.

Such a cute and comfortable cabin! I would definitely go back. I already recommended the place to my family and friends. The property manager responded in minutes for anything we needed. We had a super awesome weekend!

BBQ grill needs to be cleaned or have supplies there to clean very very dirty
nice area, needs to be sprayed for bugs we only saw one roach and a couple ants. Next time would like to stay closer to shopping areas. If you're looking for quiet this is a very nice place and area to stay. Teens would like closer to activity area.

Nice getaway
The location was perfect for a little getaway to the mountains. It was close enough to downtown to get there easily, but far enough away to avoid the busy-ness. The house was great and we'll furnished.

Wonderful!
Everything about our stay was wonderful! It was clean, comfortable, and all of our questions were answered as soon as we asked. We loved that it was just down the street from the Big Bear Snow Play, which was a lot of fun. Everything was a short drive away (coffee, groceries, the zoo), and the house was on a beautiful, quiet street. Would definitely recommend, and hope to get to return again soon!

Great place for small family
This place worked perfectly for me, my wife, and toddler. It's small but very clean. Beds were comfortable. TV worked and had Netflix, hulu, etc...
Looks to be recently renovated (floors, decor) check in was easy. Place is 5 minute drive from town and grocery. Only downer was backyard....wish it had some grass or was cleaner to let my daughter run around. Dirt, sticks, pine needles, lots of spider webs. Other than that it was great.

Cute, clean cabin in quiet neighborhood
We had a great time in the cabin this past weekend. Very clean. Cozy, nice layout. The one issue we had was that although the cabin isn't large, there were 4 plug in air fresheners. The scent was nice but it was SO overpowering. We went from room to room and unplugged them and then it was fine. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, etc. The beds were a little firm for me but I like pretty soft beds. (We have a memory foam mattress at home that I'm used to.) We wished there was a dining table but there really isn't space for one and the bar worked fine. For anyone with little kids, my 3 year old was especially pleased with the toilet that wasn't loud or scary when it flushed. :) The backyard was great for the kids to run off a little steam between rain storms. Our family would definitely consider staying here again on future Big Bear trips.

Nice cottage, great for a family of four
Nice, cozy place for a family of four. We stay three nights and it suited us just fine. It's a bit on the small side but for the value it's really good. The fire place and furnace worked perfectly to keep the place warm. The beds are pretty firm, just an FYI. Extra blankets and pillows were available, which was great. About a 5 min drive to the mountains.

Wonderful, easy, stress-free stay!
This was my first experience using homeaway and I can't say enough how wonderful it was. Our host was super helpful and accommodating. The cabin itself was gorgeous and had all the comforts of home. I was also impressed with amenitieis including coffee, board games, and shower supplies. It's the perfect place for a family or small group of friends! Thank you so much for such a great, stress-free experience!

Best little place ever!
Just the perfect size for a small family or two couples. Backyard is fenced in so our dogs had a blast. Took them for great walks in the neighborhood. Back deck is large enough to put a dog crate or dog house on it. We would go skiing all day and the dogs relaxed in the back. We are planning on going back again in the spring once we get child's classes set up at the mountain for snow or water skiing. Great location!
