Welcome to the Top of the World, with treetop views and peeks of the ocean. This spacious, clean and bright home is newly furnished and freshly painted. Two levels each with a bedroom and full bath, and the master upstairs has a peek of the ocean. Cozy up to the wood-burning fireplace in the living room, or relax on the private deck that's accessible from the kitchen or the mid-level bedroom, perfect for starlit nights and sunny mornings. There are chaise lounges and Adirondack chairs to rest on and enjoy a good book, while your dog naps beside you. The back yard is enclosed and secure for your pet. Had a nice stay. Loved that the house was nicely decorated as many Vrbos don't bother with the ambiance. The yard was fully enclosed but just dirt and leaf litter which was okay cause it didn't rain but could have been baabapppppppproblemproblemotherwise.

We loved this home. We have stayed all over Cambria and used Scenic Coast for all our bookings. The home offers a lovely covered and uncovered deck and expansive views to the west. You can even see Hearst Castle when its clear. The neighborhood is fun to walk to around in and we easily drove to the beach and/or west and east villages in no time. It is also a nice quiet dark neighborhood with little light pollution at is dog friendly and the fenced yard was great for our large dog. The only issues were that the bed in the primary suite is a queen and there is no door, just two curtains. This offers little privacy and a king bed would offer more comfort. The kitchen is great and provided us with all the necessary utensils and appliances. This home is lovely and has obviously been loved by the owners who have taken care of it while also renting it out to families like ours.

My wife and I have been coming to Cambria for 25 years. We almost always stay in a different rental house when we come. The Skyhigh Retreat did not disappoint. Plenty of room for us, our 20 year old daughter, and our two dogs. Love the fenced in back yard! We love the area, too, because of all the wildlife we get to see: deer, hawks, wild turkeys, hummingbirds, and swallows are some faves. The kitchen had everything needed to make a meal at home. We ended up eating out for every meal because we always want to hit our favorite restaurants when we’re in town: Linn’s for breakfast and desserts (and any meal, really), Main Street Grill for burgers and ribs, Friday afternoon farmers market for all sorts of goodies, Luigi’s pizza, Robins, Hidden Kitchen on the weekend, The Spot (Sweet & Savory Crepes!) Mezzo Italiano, Indigo Moon, so many favorites. One word of caution for potential renters: There are a lot of stairs to deal with at Skyhigh. It’s nice that you can park in the garage, and then it’s one flight of stairs up to the main living area (kitchen, living room, bathroom, and 1 bedroom). And then it’s another flight of stairs up to the third level to the main bedroom. Not really a problem for us once we were there, but not great when you’re lugging suitcases in and out. The house also needs a good power wash outside for all the dust and cobwebs all over the house and windows - but the new back deck was spotless, which was fantastic! Definitely recommend. Would definitely stay here again!

This home was a very welcome change of pace and scenery for a much needed refresh. Stayed in this home several years ago and nothing has changed except for the nice addition to the backyard deck. The home is very well cared for and in great condition. Extremely clean and well stocked for your basic necessities...bring a few groceries and you won't need to leave if you don't feel like it.The dog safe backyard is great if you are bringing dogs with you. Like the title, the open airy view provides the feeling of living in the treetops and the home design allows for plenty of light.We adventured out for daily walk/hike-abouts with our dogs and maybe a meal then back in the PM to a very comfy hangout. Highly recommend!

We have stayed at this house many times and the recent upgrades were a pleasant surprise. The house is always neat and clean and is fully equipped. While not being familiar ROKU TV made it difficult and a frustrating to watch TV.While the property management was professional if you do not like interacting with people. I prefer talking and meeting with the people I am dealing with. This might have been good during Covid, but not now! There was a small problem that looks like it resolved itself, but it would have been nice to communicate that upon check out.

I felt like I was living among their trees and birds in this pleasant home. It was a wonderful stay—unless you hate climbing a few stairs. One thing I don’t like is how Vrbo is shortening stays with very late check-in times—and very early check-out times!

We enjoyed this property. Lots of light coming in upstairs with all the windows and a sky light, views, balconies for watching the stars, and a fully stocked kitchen. Very peaceful, and nice neighborhood for walks with the dogs. Very clean. Only thing to note is that the beds are not Kings, and my husband is tall so that wasn’t ideal. Also there are alot of stairs so harder for elderly dogs to go up and down (we have a very old senior so had to carry him up and down). Overall nice property and location.

They have great views, and comfort in the home with extra spices and other items in the kitchen to prepare your favorite meal. Electronics were good. The only thing that keeps it from a Five was the backyard was a little was a dirty, making it undesirable to sit in the backyard, although they did have nice amenities back there.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this wonderful home. The check in process was seamless, the property owners were responsive and the home was very clean. The neighborhood is quiet and within a short drive to the beach and downtown Cambria. The deck from this home provides a beautiful view of the surrounding foothills and is a great place to enjoy a cup of coffee or an early evening cocktail. We hope to visit this property again in the not too distant future.

We had a great stay in Cambria! The area was beautiful and the house was clean. Be prepared with groceries and supplies when you arrive! Everything closes early and we didn’t even have coffee in the morning. There isn’t a paved road directly in front of the property but the driveway is paved. There was also a power outage when we were there but the only flashlight was very old and we could not find replacement batteries. The view was amazing and there was wildlife that roamed through the neighborhood. Beautiful area, beautiful home, cute town!

We enjoyed our stay at the property. We have two kids (10 & 12) and a yellow lab. The yard was perfect for the dog(secure). Nice walks through the hood seeing turkey & deer before heading out for daily activities. Ideally located between Hearst Castle and SLO. Would stay here again.

This property is perfect for a family with kids or two couples. There is one bedroom upstairs with a full bath and one bedroom downstairs with a full bath. If you are two couples, you would have plenty of privacy. The location is marvelous, the house is spacious and very warm and inviting. Lots of amenities inside the house such as barbecue, outdoor furniture, games and it’s pet friendly. We had the very best of time.

We absolutely loved this house. It is convenient to town (3 minute drive). Quiet. And surrounded by local wildlife - wild turkeys and deer. Well suited with everything you need.Nice kitchen. Lower level consists of garage with washer and dryer. Second level is main living area with small front balcony, living room, kitchen, bathroom, and master bedroom. Secluded partially covered deck and access to the fenced backyard off the kitchen. Third level includes a bathroom and bedroom. Partial ocean view from the third level. Be prepared for stairs between levels. Very nice, relaxing stay at the property.

This house longs for updates. There is no sense that it's been attended to and it feels very outdated. If that doesn't matter to you the house is fine. There was lipstick on a glass in cabinet and other dishes needed to be cleaned before using. We rent a house rather than stay in a hotel so we can cook. This house has NO BOWLS, a poor selection of glasses and NO wine glasses! There is no way to light the grill!
The knives are not sharp at all. Downstairs bathroom exhaust fan doesn't work. There is no CURRENT info about Cambria or the surrounding area. We know there's wind but the deck hadn't been swept and it made it look like house wasn't quite ready for renters. The appliances work well and there are lots of lightbulbs!

The beds were a bit soft for my taste, and the downstairs shower controls needed some tuning, but we all had a great stay and would stay here again (and why not - Cambria is still beautiful, fun and comparatively undiscovered). It was also great that we could bring our dog. It can be really hard to find good places that allow the canines!
