The property was right in the middle of downtown. The home was well stocked and the host left us wonderful treats. The bedrooms were so comfortable and very quiet at night. We could walk to shops, restaurants, and explore this great town. We also were very close to the Fiscalini Ranch Preserve where we hiked on the bluffs trail. The views were spectacular. Overall, it was a great experience! Thank you, Tristan!

It was so nice to stay right downtown with so many shops and restaurants in easy walking distance. The home is very comfortable and is well stocked with everything you need. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone coming to Cambria.

My wife and I went to visit my brother in Cambria as we have many times in the past. This time, instead of staying at a place near his home, we stayed here closer to the far end of town. Except for some issues getting into the place (the batteries on the security system decided to fail), the home was outstanding. Very comfortable and perfectly located. The owner of the property was very responsive and helpful. Would definitely stay here again on our next visit.

We had a great time at the yellow house. It was a fun, relaxing experience.

Great Place to stay.

This was my second visit to Cambria. My previous visit was a stay at one of the small hotels along the beach. Staying at The Yellow House on Main was much preferred! Having the shops outside the door, along with great food options, was lovely. I did still walk to Moonstone Beach (got 10k steps in before 8:15 am)! The house was clean with great amenities, the host was communicative, and the policies clear and easy to follow. Can’t wait to return!

Clean, comfortable, welcoming!
The Yellow House on Main is located in the middle of downtown Cambria, with easy access to a great coffee shop and restaurant directly across the street and many cute stores along both sides in both directions. Tristan is an excellent host who communicates well with you and works hard to make sure you enjoy your stay. April is such a pretty time to visit, cool weather, sunny skies, everything green. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Property is in downtown Cambria. Lots to do in town. Owners are week connected send me good suggestions on places to visit. Communication was really good which always is a plus.

Close to nearby shops and restaurants. The only issue was the steep driveway which was somewhat difficult due to rain and water running off the hill. A good place to start and come home to after a day of exploring. Great host. Well-equipped. Really enjoyed our stay.

My husband and I with our puppies enjoyed every minute of our visit in this beautiful Victorian home. The home is very cozy and has everything you need. we love Cambria.

Super cute Victorian house. Our 2 Frenchies (dogs) loved the space, they had all the essentials needed for them. Big plus was the doggie door that leads to the secure back yard for potty. Although the house is on Main Street it’s away from the street so you don’t really hear people walking by. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Loved our time there and hope to return!

Having chosen Cambria as our annual birthday vacay spot, this home is our new favorite of the bunch! Location is perfect - you can walk out for coffee each morning, do some shopping, then grab dinner at one of the many amazing restaurants nearby, all without a car. Several beaches are within minutes (walking/biking or driving). We loved the coziness of the home, and it had all the essentials (comfy beds, extra blankets, picnic basket, coffee accoutrements, etc.) plus a well appointed kitchen and cute backyard. Loved the front porch area where we could sit out in the late afternoons and people watch. This was truly one of our best visits in Cambria - would love to stay again :)

Great location in town - everything was within walking distance, including shops and restaurants. Very short drive to the beach. Excellent communication with owner, so we knew exactly what to expect. Know that this property is >100 years old, so be flexible and open minded. It's great!

This was our second stay at this property. It's perfect. It's close to everything, It fells like home. I love the open layout, and since it sits up on a hill, you don't get bothered by people walking by.

The yellow house is comfortable and well stocked. Best part the house is walking distance to East Cambria and our favorite store the Garden Shed. Short drive to wineries, Morro Bay, Cayucos and Moonstone Beach.

We felt welcome here and the location can’t be beat. It’s an old house, so be aware that some floors are uneven—not a problem if your balance is good. You need to climb stairs for access—again, not a problem if you don’t use any assistive mobility devices.

Wonderful place to stay. My only comment would be about the stairs. The bottom set of stairs have no rail and are not level. If you struggle with stairs, this is not your place.

This little cottage is right in the heart of Cambria. Close to restaurants and shops--it is updated and comfy. We will definitely be back.

The Yellow House on Main! The house is very cozy. We had a great stay! We were within walking distance to everything. If you are looking for a great place for dinner check out Indigo Moon right across the street! We enjoyed our visit to Cambria! Thanks Tristan!

Great location, historical house that was renovated. It's has smaller bedrooms and small kitchen, but I guess most people do not cook on vacation as we do. The closets smell of old mildew, hopefully not mold - so if you have sensitivities or chronic illnesses, I would avoid renting it. The host has a lot of requirements for cleaning, including asking to strip beds and wash linens - and still pay for cleaning. Overall, I feel it was overpriced (almost 900 for 2 nights), especially since he is charging for each additional person beyond 2. To be fair, Cambria seems to be on the pricey side anyway. Thank you for hosting us

Well, we were only there overnight and had to leave due to unexpected illness. From the short time we were there we loved the little yellow house on Main Street. The only negative was the people working on the house next door which we weren’t aware of until the day before we left. Very noisy and could look right into the kitchen. No curtains so covered with towel.
Suggestion: Need pooper scooper and kitchen curtain.
Looking forward to going again when the work is done.

This is a perfect spot for a couple’s getaway. The Victorian bungalow has such charm and much effort has been made to create beauty and comfort in a cozy space. Tristen, our host, was so helpful and easy to reach. There are many amenities and thoughtful surprises in order to make guests feel welcome. We were thrilled with the location, right in the East village, with short walks to the best restaurants and shops. It was hard to leave when our time was up; we will definitely be back!!

The unit was a true classic, historical house for this area. It was really fun to stay here. Location is perfect for the town of Cambria walking to restaurants shops etc.
Owners were incredibly responsive and everything worked well in the house.
Work was being done next door to finish another classic gem and the I couldn’t believe how courteous and quiet the workers were during our stay.
Would definitely recommend for a Cambria stay and will return again in the future.
Thanks

Excellent location downtown Cambria. Walking distance to the coffee shop and a couple restaurants . Home had more amenities than we expected. We brought items we didn’t even need because they were already provided. We would definitely rent the house again if we go back to Camera. I would highly recommend it without hesitation. You won’t be sorry.

This is the second time we’ve stayed here while our kids camp in San Simeon. We just love the convince to all the restaurants and shopping. It’s perfect. Tristan is amazing and so helpful with texting to let you know when you can come in and answers every question so quickly. Can’t wait to come back next year.

We very much enjoyed our stay in the cute yellow house.
It has everything you need for a pleasant stay and is central to the ambiance of the town. Strongly recommend this home as a getaway for a couple. There is a kitchen, as well as nice restaurants within walking distance.

The #YellowHouse on Main St. was an excellent choice for our 25th Anniversary celebration. The home was spacious and very comfortable. We really appreciated the little extras provided as well. We will be back, we guarantee it! This was our first visit to Cambria and we fell in love with the area. Thanks so much for the hospitality!

My husband and I loved our 3 night stay in this vintage 2 bedroom home. All the amenities to comfort you and the best location within walking distance to all that Cambria has to offer. Super host. Just wonderful. We will be back.

Pros: Property was clean. Convenient location so you can walk to shopping & dining. Nice decorating.
Cons: We visited Cambria in February 2023 & the house heat sources were inadequate. The heater in the living area was too small for the area. Fortunately our family members travel with extra blankets so we used those in addition to what the owner provided so we could bundle up while watching TV & visiting. We were not able to control the bedroom heaters so it was very uncomfortable for sleeping; either too hot if they were on & too cold if you turned them off. At one point a fuse blew & we had to contact the owner who did respond promptly. The coffee provided was only enough for 1 pot & the treats left for the guests had expired in 2022. The front door did not always lock automatically so be mindful of checking the door.

The Yellow House on Main was a different experience for us being right on Main Street in Cambria. We were able to walk to all the cute shops and great restaurants. We were able to see more of Cambria than we ever have before. The house was very clean and cute. Beautiful succulents around the house. Our host, Tristan was so kind, helpful and accommodating. It is obvious that this house means a lot to her and that she takes pride in it. The house has a very warm feel about it. We appreciated it so much and so did our dog Gunner. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Having grown up in the Bay Area but never making it to Cambria until this little get away, I wasn't sure what to expect. Well, Cambria is truly a lovely place! I went there with my partner with a plan to have our kids visit us as well as other family we have in central California. The state was beset with rain the week we were there; weather and Southwest airlines scrambled up a lot of our plans but we still had a great time visiting beaches, elephant seals, Ragged Point, Fiscalini Ranch and other sights nearby.
I could tell how charming the little yellow victorian era but updated home is. I could also tell how fully equipped the kitchen is. Additionally, I could tell you how conveniently located the house is; with the many cafes, shops and restaurants across the street and within a few blocks. I might also tell you how helpful and friendly the hosts were. And how great it was to bring our little mutt to a dog friendly home. I could tell you all of those things. But then you will want to stay there and it won't be available when we want to return, so I won't tell you those things.

Full disclosure: I don't want everyone to know how amazing this place is because I don't want a bunch of competition when I try to book it again, and again, and again! ...but I will give an honest review none-the-less. There was a rain storm during our trip and despite my initial disappointment since we couldn't walk around much, this was the PERFECT place to cozy up on the comfy couch with blankets, gaze out the huge windows overlooking Main Street, and watch movies. Our dogs LOVED the low, large front windows and the view! Hours of entertainment for them! This historical, yet updated house, was as cute as could be and the small fenced backyard was super convenient for dog potty-breaks. I was a little worried after reading other reviews about the "steep driveway and stairs" leading up to the house, but neither were at all as bad as some have mentioned. Really a non-issue! This truly is an amazing place to stay!
Communication with the host was great.
The house is cute, comfy, and centrally located.
Very dog friendly!!
"Your time and money will not be spent in vain, if you stay at The Yellow House on Main!"

The house is a cute old Victorian. Everything was set up very nicely for the pets. Pet beds, food and water bowls, protective sheets for the beds and furniture and a fantastic, secure back yard for 'potty'. Kitchen is very well equipped, big TV with lots of streaming choices (we just wanted to get away and veg), quiet and walking distance to our favorite french bakery and restaurant (Robin's). Loved our time there and hope to return!

Tons of character, immaculately clean, great location, very comfortable, every possible need thought of. Highly recommend Tristan's place for some time.in Cambria and surrounding areas (don't miss Paso Robles for some excellent Zinfandels); elephant seals on the beach and great food and s ervice across the street at Indigo Moon.
