The breakfast was extraordinary - delicious and excellent service. The staff, including servers and cleaners, have obviously spent some time traveling themselves because of the small touches everywhere. For example, the coffee service and fresh pastries 24/7, cold drinks available everywhere, blankets in the room with the fireplace, and so on. Small examples, perhaps, yet indicative of thoughtful management and staff.
It was challenging to find because the "GPS" address doesn't identify the turn-off and driveway. Some signs on the road would be helpful. Because we were in Mendocino for an event, we didn't get to experience the famed box, which appeared to be among the highlights of the Inn. I'm wondering if there would be a way for guests to experience the boxes at other times during the day.

Brewery Gulch Inn is by far the best hotel we have ever stayed in. The communication prior, the level of professionalism, the comfort, and especially the FOOD are all AMAZING. We can't say enough good things about this inn. A truly magical experience.
I was so sad to leave.

Relaxing without being stuffy. Attentive without being intrusive. A breath of fresh air. The staff was friendly with wonderful recommendations about how to enjoy the surrounding area. We thoroughly enjoyed the property and area.

We were in the Osprey Room and the view was fantastic. You'll have your own balcony facing the ocean in a corner room with a huge bathtub for two. Bed is super comfy. You don't necessarily need dinner with the apps that are served in the evening, and it comes with a full local breakfast in the morning.

Great, tasty breakfast!!
Location was a little too close to Highway one.

Very comfortable, with a total of 11 rooms at the inn, it felt very relaxing and like being at home. The morning breakfast was excellent and the light meal during the wine hour was perfect. Everyone of the staff had a great attitude and were helpful and warm. The Inn is a little gem just south of the town of Mendocino.
The frogs croaking at night, but after the 2nd night it was less bothersome and on the 3rd night , it was predictable and tranquilizing.

Our room offered astounding views of Mendocino Bay—every night, we could watch the fog rolling in off of the ocean cradling hot tea, cozy and warm with our cotton bath robes and a roaring fire. Morning breakfasts felt like indulgences, with pineapple coconut pancakes, freshly-squeezed orange juice, key lime and mango lassi, and Belgian drinking chocolate delivered to our door every morning. Wine hour includes not only a selection of favorites from local vintners, but a tapas-style meal from an executive chef served up in a handmade redwood Bento box. All of the staff were so kind and accommodating, and it added an extra level of "special" to our stay.
The fact that we had to leave.

Breakfasts were varied and delicious! Staff were exceedingly friendly and efficient. Quiet and cleanliness throughout inn were exceptional.
Madrone room is a bit dark, and lights didn’t have enough wattage.

Small servings but filling; we could have ordered more food, the waitress was happy to comply with any request. The food was to order from a limited menu. The staff was outstanding in trying to accommodate any request. There were appetizers in the evening that were kept fresh in a box dedicated to a particular room. Very nice.
The front desk staff went out of their way to be helpful and they regularly followed up to make sure we were happy with things. The property is very nice; not too big, not too small. We liked to sit outside watch the ocean and the great collection of birds they have because of feeders. We'll be happy to go back.
Make sure you ask about places to eat. Thet are not apparent as you drive down the road; Once we got some suggestions, we had great meals.
They outsource services such as massages. We scheduled a couples massage that was later canceled for some unknown reason.
The property is off a two-lane county road; I was surprised by how much traffic there was all night.

The breakfasts were amazing. The afternoon snack and wine was almost a meal in itself.
The bed was a bit uncomfortable after the 2nd night.
